Usiadła na ottomanie, który znajdował się na środku mej Komnaty. Po kilku minutach do mojej komnaty weszły cztery dziewki wraz z Esmą Kalfą i jakimś unuchem.
- Sultanym. - Powiedzieli z ukłonem.
- Sultanym, oto prezent od Valide, Mihrimah i Hurrem. Kazały mi podarować ci tą komnatę, cztery nowe służące i eunucha.
- Przekaz im moje podziękowania. Możesz odejść.
Esma ukłoniła się i wyszła.
- Jak się nazywacie? Skąd jesteście? - Spytałam.
- Ja nazywam się Atike, pochodzę z Rusi. - Odpowiedziała mi pierwsza na pytanie czarnowłosa.

- A wy? - Spytałam spoglądająca na dwie dziewki.

Cennet, Sirin, Asma i Gul wyszli z mojej komnaty. Zostałam z rusinką. Usiadłam na ottomanie, a ona stała na przeciw mnie.

Ukłonił się i podał mi list. List był od Yasemin. Odłożyłam książkę. Natychmiast go wzięłam i zaczęłam czytać.
- Czy Sułtanka Mihrimah wie już o tym ze Yasemin jest w ciąży?
- Tak.
- Świetnie! Możesz odejść!
Po jego odejściu wróciłam do mojego poprzednio zajęcia. Pozwoliłam Atike wyjść z Komnaty.
