《The Devil I Love | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 52: The Best Distraction

Jimin remained silent the moment he suspected Jungkook felt different towards him. Of course, it was no secret with the way Jungkook would try to hide it. Even Yoongi found out the young man had a crush on him before and now, Jimin suspected it completely. Jungkook just wasn't the best at hiding it since he longed to show his care and comfort towards Jimin. With that, it was difficult for him to keep silent on how much he adored Park Jimin. Even before he held the man in his arms, Jungkook kissed him and revealed a lot concerning his feelings without even saying the words 'I love you' towards Jimin.
Jimin stared at the blushes on his cheek before retracting his arms, and then stepping back briefly.
"Jungkook, why don't we head back now?" Jimin asked, leaving Jungkook to snap out of his daydream the moment he felt Jimin's hands set over his chest so perfectly. This caused the blush from his pale face to fade as he nodded his head and stood up instantly.
"Right, we should be getting back to your place," Jungkook answered. Jimin placed on his face mask along with his sunglasses that went well with his beanie that covered every strand of hair there was. As soon as they made their way out, Jungkook followed behind the older one the whole time. Wondering what made Jimin stop when he normally wouldn't.
Jimin reached the front desk where he paid while Jungkook watched nervously. He stood there longing to slide his own card over to pay for his meal too but Jimin covered it all. The young man turned red in embarrassment while he watched Jimin do so. He never enjoyed being spoiled even once. As they reached the car, Jimin didn't cling to him as he did before, but sat next to him and continued to gaze out the window.
"Did I... do something wrong?" Jungkook thought and scratched the side of his own neck as he watched Jimin face the other way. Just then, Jungkook pressed his head against Jimin's shoulder and closed his charming round eyes. Leaving Jimin to suppress the warm feeling that came over him. He didn't want to slip further in, but anything Jungkook did, he just couldn't get enough. "You were so clingy, what's wrong?" Jungkook suddenly asked and left Jimin scattering around in his own brain to find an answer.
"I just... don't want to be too annoying..." Jimin lied. Smiling at the sight of Jungkook resting his head on his shoulder. In reality, Jimin wanted to be in Jungkook's arms by now. He wanted to kiss him and feel the endless warmth of glee, but given how Jungkook felt, it left Jimin longing to avoid feeding into Jungkook's growing love for the man when Jimin knew well he couldn't return the feeling. No matter what, Jimin longed to prevent his own love towards Jungkook from growing when in reality, it was happening whether he liked it or not. He was just hiding it so he wouldn't risk getting hurt again.

"Jimin, you will never be annoying to me!" Jungkook said all the right words Jimin needed to hear. The young man in love leaned in and gave him a subtle kiss on his cheek. Making Jimin unexpectedly blush and freeze up.
Every second he spent with Jungkook, he was benefiting the glee that he longed to chase, but this time, it was different. Jimin was building up the love he had for the boy, but he didn't want to. He kept trying to push it away and just be happy for once, but avoiding the love he was having for Jungkook that started with an interest the moment they met at the studio, was now growing into something so much more whether he liked it or not. The many years of him avoiding love, was all for nothing when it came to Jungkook.
Once they reached the penthouse, Jungkook noticed that Jimin's team delivered the many bouquets of roses that were in his apartment. Now, the penthouse seemed much more welcoming with it. Jungkook continued to wander around the penthouse until he stumbled upon the lonely room he was destined to sleep in when he longed to be alone for a night. However, that was impossible when he just couldn't take a moment away from Jimin.
As the older man went into his own room, Jungkook stepped into the eerie space. His eyes scattered along the room silently and noticed that the bouquet of roses Jimin gave him before, was sitting on the nightstand too. Giving the room a bit more life, however, no amount of roses could ease the uneasy tension of this room. Jungkook couldn't pin the thought down and his words were slipping. The room itself gave him negative thoughts... . Just then, he grabbed his bouquet of roses sitting alone and took them out of there.
Once the door closed, Jungkook kept staring at the entry to the room before becoming curious. He wondered why the room itself left him feeling uneasy, so he went to the next room to join Jimin and ask. He was longing to get an answer this time even if it was obvious that he wouldn't.
"Jimin," Jungkook called out once he stepped in and noticed Jimin laying on his chest. Closing his eyes and having his arms mimic a pillow he laid his head on.
"Talk to me."
"Jimin, I noticed your team set one of the roses in that other room..." Jungkook mentioned and set the bouquet down on Jimin's nightstand before noticing a bottle of medications sitting right there. Leaving Jungkook to grow concerned instantly. But never ask something that seemed too personal. "...and... that room... feels weird..."
"Weird?"
"I guess it's just me who feels that way. It's like I'm being watched each time I step in there, but here in this room, I feel safe! Jimin, did someone die in that room? Maybe there's a ghost in there..." Jungkook wondered and to his surprise, Jimin began to laugh at the idea.

"A ghost? Jungkook, you're insane~" Jimin laughed and turned over to see the young man standing by the bed. Only then, Jimin realized that his medications were sitting by the bouquet of roses. Leading him to believe that Jungkook has already seen them but had yet to ask.
In Jimin's mind, he knew Jungkook was going to be curious enough to question him, but he wouldn't. The medications seemed so personal, it didn't seem like something Jungkook would continuously ask Jimin about and make him uncomfortable. On the other hand, Jimin just couldn't risk it. In his mind, Jungkook was longing to ask when in reality, he wasn't. This was the lack of trust Jimin had in everyone including Jungkook. He just knew he had to distract the young man from asking further questions.
"I'm serious, Jimin, that room feels off to me. I feel like I'm being watched! Are you... secretly a serial killer? I've read a book about that once... what about -"
"Oh, Jungkook! You're talking like a crazy man," Jimin giggled and sat up. Hugging the young man on his hips, and resting his head on his chest. Doing this all while the young man stood before him by the bed. "That room... used to belong to me before I moved into this one. Maybe you just want to stay in this one with me~ I understand if you don't want to be alone... I don't either. You don't have to make it up."
"Jimin, I'm not-" instantly, his words were silenced. Jimin pulled him down to kiss his soft lips and smile into the tender contact they shared. Hoping to avoid this conversation further, but Jungkook kept bringing it up in between the kisses. "If you slept in that room, what about this one?" Jungkook questioned and with that, Jimin pulled Jungkook until he remained on top of him.
"Does it matter?~" Jimin asked and ran his hands up Jungkook's thighs until they rested on his toned hips. "Jungkook, it doesn't matter at all..."
Jungkook listened to Jimin and noted the moment Jimin began to dodge his questions. He looked down to see Jimin running his hands up his body until he cupped his face. Staring into his soul with such a miserable gaze that left Jungkook becoming anxious when it came to what went on in Jimin's mind.
"Okay..." Jungkook answered. Not wanting to drop this but he knew that if Jimin longed to let him in soon, his questions would be answered. He couldn't force something out of someone like this and he knew if Jimin wanted to tell him, he would talk to him in his own time. Jungkook had to be patient since he knew Jimin must have been hiding a lot. All Jungkook noticed when he looked at Jimin in his miserable gaze, was a man who lived in constant fear of many things.
"Stay here with me... you won't need to go back to the other room anytime soon," Jimin whispered against Jungkook's ear. Latching his hands onto the bottom of the young man's shirt as he began to kiss him in order to start something. His tendency to run from the issues at hand were constant in order to keep Jungkook safe from the truth. In Jimin's mind, he kept the idea that if Jungkook didn't know, no issues would erupt between them. Jungkook wouldn't leave him or have a chance at hurting him in any way. Of course, that's what Jimin feared, being harmed after many years of torture that came along with his endless fame.
During the same time, the Director paced around his own office. Memories filled his mind yet, he only remained silent. His eyes trembled in exhaustion and he couldn't recall when was the last time he closed them.
"Am I doing the right thing...? Clearing his schedule and letting him breathe?" He spoke to himself anxiously and kept looking out the window he would recall Jimin doing the same. "But what about me? If I don't keep putting work on his schedule, he will be alone with that photographer... he won't come to my office again and I won't be able to see him! I will lose him for good if I go soft," the man sputtered in fear as he softly rubbed the scar over his face. "Maybe it's for the best... this scar is my curse... , but I can't... I can't leave him. , is far beyond what that photographer could offer."
The man carefully rubbed the scar over his pale face before closing his eyes. Reminiscing on a smile Jimin used to give him long before. Instantly he let out a chuckle and shook his head. "What am I saying? Who else will he love and trust other than me? That photographer is only there to occupy his mind!"
The crazy man spoke to himself before sitting down in front of the laptop he kept on. Pushing the laptop back and causing the screen to brighten as One for every room was visible, however, there wasn't any set inside Jimin's current room.
"That boy thinks he's so special. He thinks he's different from me but I recall everything like it was yesterday. Silly boy, he thinks Jimin will love him and trust him. They could stay in that room all day and make me wonder what they are up to, but what I know is that Jimin is only distracting himself from what we had. If that is the case, this will always be known as " Joo-won mentioned with a smile and looked at his own schedule on his laptop before editing it and putting a reminder in a few days. Labeling it as 'Jimin's photoshoot'.
"Lucky for me, I have nothing to do that day and I could see this boy in person. Jeon Jungkook; Jimin's best distraction."
