《The Devil I Love | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 48: Temporary

By the following week, Jungkook managed to pack up the things he would need after work that Saturday evening and made sure the bundles of many roses he was sent were ready to be transported out of the room. Jungkook looked around in his room and wondered if he was going to truly stay with Jimin for so long. It was known that he wasn't used to living in such a lavish setting, so he was a little anxious to be living in an expensive penthouse with Jimin.

"It's only temporary... I'm doing this for the studio and Jimin..." Jungkook whispered to himself and looked down at the grey duffel bag just sitting on the ground. "If I enjoy staying with him longer, I will come back to make sure I get enough clothes. This is good for now," Jungkook said and finally looked at his phone to check the time. Counting the hours until he would wake up to the sound of Jimin calling him on his phone in the early morning just to confirm when would be the time they would finally meet again.

However, once morning came around, Jungkook didn't wake up to a call by Jimin, rather, he woke up to the sound of someone knocking at his door. Jungkook quickly sprung up from bed and rubbed his eyes. Only wearing his underwear to sleep for the night as he looked up for a moment. Trying to process what was going on until another knock pounded at the door.

The young man rubbed his eyes and glanced at the time on his phone to see that it was only seven o'clock in the morning and the sun had just risen. Jungkook then got up and walked over to the door before pulling it open and seeing Park Jimin standing there with a big smile over his face. He didn't have his face mask nor his sunglasses, but he wore a black oversized hoodie in order to hide his light blond hair from the world.

"Jimin... ah, you're here so early..." Jungkook said into his raspy morning whisper and watched Jimin hug him so suddenly. "Where's your disguise?"

"I have it here in my pockets! I just took it off... I wanted to see you without my sunglasses and my mask... but don't worry, no one saw me!" Jimin whispered before pulling away from the hug just so Jungkook could lock the door. "I missed you..."

"Ah, it's been a long week, hasn't it? How is work?" Jungkook asked and walked over to his drawer where he left a few clothes behind to wear other than the ones he already packed up.

"Stressful... there's too much on my plate as always," Jimin replied and suddenly stumbled upon the duffle bag sitting on the ground. "Are you only going to take this bag?"

"Yes, this job is temporary for me until I decide to make it permanent, right? I won't take much for now," Jungkook assured and gathered his clothes before looking back at the model.

"Right... temporary..." Jimin whispered in the slightest tone of disappointment before sitting onto the bed and pressing his body back. "Temporary to you... isn't a few days, right?"

"Well, it's not that short but definitely not a year long. It all depends on how I enjoy the job, Jimin."

"Right..." The beautiful man kept his words into a soft whisper before closing his eyes and thinking of having Jungkook stay with him forever. The way Jimin woke up this morning with a smile; believing that Jungkook was going to stay forever was enough to make him arrive early to his apartment, but it completely slipped his mind the moment he was told that this was temporary. It went over the idol's mind that Jungkook wasn't going to stay working with him permanently if he chose to leave after his short trial ended.

Jungkook noted the way Jimin became silent to the idea of him only working temporarily, but left it alone. Jimin was the one who proposed that idea first, so Jungkook only longed to stick with it just so he wouldn't have to jump at an opportunity blindfolded. The young man looked at the charming little devil laying over his bed with his eyes closed at that very moment.

"You came so early today, I was expecting you to call me first..."

"I couldn't wait any longer! I managed to clear most of my schedule for the day... surprisingly, the Director hasn't been adding much for me on this week's schedule. It's weird, but I won't complain about it!" Jimin said into a cute smile before sitting up slightly and looking into the eyes of the young man. "Which means you won't be overworked too! Normally, the Director would give so much work to the newcomers, but... he didn't give me much work this week. Just photoshoots from the company in specific clothing. That's where you will come in handy. No one is allowed to be my photographer other than you."

"I'm so flattered to be the only one for you~" Jungkook blushed as he said those words and watched the smile form over Jimin's face. "I'll let you know when I'm ready. Then, we can go."

Jimin enjoyed watching the young man until he walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind him. Leaving Jimin to sit up and look over at the small duffle bag on the ground. His mind was occupied with other things, but finally focused on the idea of Jungkook just living with him and working with him temporarily.

"Temporary... why only temporary? I want all of you, I don't want you to leave when you've had enough... What about me?" Jimin whispered to himself; eyeing the duffle bag that didn't carry all the clothes Jungkook had. "What will I do if I can't see you often again? Live through my endless tears every night? I need you... I need you to escape... him... who will cheer me up when he hurts me?" Jimin asked and began to tear up as he continued to stare at the duffle bag. "Who will protect me when you won't sleep next to me after you've had enough?"

The miserable idol remained there, fearing the worst. His eyes never peeled away from the duffle bag and the many thoughts he wanted to avoid were coming back to him. He recalled those moments he was weak and cried about not being able to avoid them. Jimin knew he wasn't strong enough for anything, so he only hoped to find a better way to save him the moment Jungkook would choose to leave if he longed to.

As soon as Jungkook stepped out of the bathroom and gathered his things, he walked out of the building with Jimin and got into the car with him. The whole time Jungkook was talking to Jimin, the young model didn't seem to have many things on his mind. That was how good Jimin managed to put up an act in front of Jungkook. The young photographer was absolutely clueless to the wonders and fears Jimin had concerning Jungkook staying temporarily.

After a while into the drive, Jungkook gazed up to see the familiar buildings until they stopped in one place. Reminding Jungkook of the time he dropped Jimin off. There, Jimin put on his disguise again and stepped out of the car behind the guards carrying the many roses the model sent to his favorite photographer. Jungkook followed the moment Jimin got out as well, watching how well the guards protected the duo. Seconds into the beautiful building, Jungkook's eyes continued to scatter; his gaze met with the lavish furniture, elegant paintings on the modern colored walls and the many security cameras pointed towards Jimin's every move.

"Wow... I feel so out of place..." Jungkook thought and looked down at his own white dress shirt that was formal, but to him, didn't seem enough to fit in. The more he followed Jimin into the building and to the elevator, he felt uncomfortable to be wandering in such a place with just a dress shirt, ripped jeans and white sneakers that went with the casual look.

The security guards holding the many bouquets of roses, protected them all the way until they reached the elevator. The two were now alone together as they went up to the penthouse floor.

"Ah... you're finally here with me..." Jimin spoke softly into a smile and turned to face Jungkook within the elevator. "You're all alone with me now~"

"Jimin, we barely reached the penthouse and you're already thinking of many things, aren't you?" Jungkook chuckled, clinging onto his duffle bag with one hand while the other ran up Jimin's body carefully. "This place is unbelievable... nothing like my apartment... I feel so out of place!"

"You'll adjust, I promise!" Jimin giggled happily and hugged Jungkook like a child. "Before you know it, you will get used to being here with me."

"I just don't want to get too comfortable, remember, I can't be too sure if I'll enjoy working here," Jungkook assured Jimin and once the elevator chimed, Jimin loosened his grip from Jungkook; holding onto his words and growing anxious as he stepped out once the doors pulled ajar.

Within seconds, Jungkook's eyes frolicked around in the vast penthouse. Large windows displaying the city sat ahead and every step he took, he could see his reflection on the marble ground. A place as huge as this seemed too big for just one person, and with that, Jungkook finally understood how easy it was for Jimin to feel so alone. Jungkook continued to wander around the modern styled penthouse while his eyes met with every framed photo of Jimin against every wall. Causing him to blush every second he looked into more features of Jimin's face. It was as if he was falling for the model all over again the more he looked at his photos.

"This place is huge! Never in my life did I ever think I would see such a place with my very own eyes," Jungkook gushed over the modern, sophisticated designs and furniture until he caught onto Jimin walking to the hallway.

"Let me show you the rooms..." Jimin spoke. Carrying a melancholic tone to his voice as the smile he longed to keep, was being interrupted by his own thoughts as he opened the door to the guest bedroom. "This is your place... if you choose to sleep alone, that is..."

Jungkook followed to see a vacant room with just a perfectly made white bed, matching curtains, and dark wooden cabinets that had nothing within them. The room was still, eerie, and left Jungkook at awe just by the looks of it, but the way the room carried a dark atmosphere to it, left him feeling on edge.

"What... about yours?" Jungkook asked. Not wanting to dwell on the feeling of the space as Jimin walked over to the door across from the guest room and walked into the vast master bedroom. Filling Jungkook's eyes with the scenery of a wide silk bed and curtains drawn apart to display the large windows of the city far beyond that. This room also carried the sense of endless nights, but it wasn't as bad as the other room Jimin had shown before.

"This is my room. I'll have to admit it, it gets very lonely here."

"Well, of course it would feel lonely in here, this penthouse was built for more than one person, I could see where your solitude relies..." Jungkook said and stepped in to follow behind Jimin. "The penthouse is beautiful... Why did your Director give you a penthouse as big as this when you're all alone?"

Jimin laid on the bed and tried to think of an answer, but he knew there was no normal way to put down such a question with a subtle answer. Jimin faced the ceiling and let out an exhale before fidgeting with his own hands to answer the question.

"Because... I am his favorite..." Jimin whispered as Jungkook remained in one place, gawking at Jimin the whole time until he teared up. "It's like... having someone choose you and label you as their favorite when you have no other choice but to go along with it. The Director has always been very fond of me... he gave me this penthouse, spoiled me with many things and is always working to better my career..." Jimin stopped himself before the sudden thought of how he was caged against the chair; trapped underneath the Director's arms and constantly being reminded of how weak he truly was. "Jungkook..."

"Yes, Jimin?"

"Jungkook... Do you... Do you think I'm a weak person?"
