《The Devil I Love | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 15: In My Thoughts

"You see... isn't that better?" The Director asked and pulled his handkerchief away from Jimin's face. Placing the fabric onto the table behind him as he brushed Jimin's light blond hair back. "You used to cling onto me all the time... what happened to that? You used to trust me..."
"I trusted you then, not anymore and you know why. Leave me alone, I want to go back to my place!" Jimin muttered and turned his face away quickly. "Namjoon... Namjoon sent you the photos from the photoshoot yesterday, so you don't have to ask me for it... please don't ask me for it."
"Oh, Jimin... I didn't call you here to ask for the photos you've taken yesterday, I wanted to see you just once. You've distanced yourself from me and I still have you as my favorite, I give you the world and you shatter it every time," The Director continued and stood before Jimin. Taunting his fears and standing before him while Jimin sat there. Completely helpless in the Director's office. "Not to mention, you don't even call me by my name like you used to... I miss it all..."
"Well, I don't," Jimin fired back as the silence between the two bled through them. Until the director went down on his knees in front of Jimin's chair and placed his hands on the helpless man's knees right after. Causing Jimin to become alarmed at the sensation of the man's hands touching him.
"You don't miss me... I understand that. I completely understand everything, Jimin. I'm giving you what you want in exchange for what we used to have before I ruined it... I miss the trust you had for me, I miss the little things. I want you back here, at my office with those smiles! Now you're back with tears. What do I have to do to make you mine again?" The older man asked and slid his hands up Jimin's thighs when Jimin suddenly dropped his hands over his to stop him right there.
"Do you really want to know?" Jimin asked. Having the rage fill his mind after breaking through his fear and actually stopping the man from touching him further. But as he did this and talked back to the man, he was still broken deep down.
"Please..."
"You leave me the fuck alone... never talk to me outside of business..." Jimin confessed in tears and raised the man's hands from his thighs and finally let go. "I'm leaving now."
"Oh, Jimin... even if you want nothing to do with me, you're stuck with me forever! It's all in that contact of yours. You were so careful to read it all, but you read it all at the time you trusted and loved me, you found no flaws in signing your name. You have to speak with me whether you like it or not, I am the one that directs your career... the one who really manages it above Namjoon's position," he continued on and reached for Jimin's small hands to hold it once more. "You can't escape me... who are you to bite the hand that fed you?"

Jimin quickly snatched his hands back and without any thought, Jimin quickly brought his hand down to slap the man across his face so suddenly. Acting without even thinking of the consequences with this man kneeling before him. As soon as Jimin did so, he let out a soft exhale as a tear raced from his face at the sight of the older looking off to the direction Jimin slapped him in.
"So... even after those things I said, you really do hate me... don't you? I figured as much," he whispered and suddenly stood up. "On the same side you caused my scar, you slapped the one who's high above you... how could you? When I approach you like a gentle person for once, you repay me like this...?"
"I... I told you to-" suddenly, Jimin's words went silent as the man dropped his hands onto the armrests of the chair and leaned forward. His face was once again, inches away from Jimin's now.
"What will it take for me to get you to behave like you did before? So happy, true to your image... Now look at you, cold, dark, and silent. Nowhere near the image you gave to the world," he went on, poisoning Jimin with the smell of his strong cologne and making him turn away and face another direction. Yet, the man further observed Jimin in this view.
His signature scent was what stuck with Jimin the most as a memory of something he longed to forget. It was true that before Jimin had trusted the man trapping him against the chair, but that all changed. Jimin no longer cared about him and hoped to avoid him in every way.
"Even if you deny me... just know, I will no longer allow you to take control of your career like that again over the phone. You are still my favorite and always will be, but if you long to go back to that studio or handle any businesses you want to support, you have to come see me.. this stands for any future projects. You come and see me in person, do you understand?"
Jimin didn't say a word as he continued to look out the long windows up ahead. Thinking of anything to distract himself from crying in front of him and allowing the man to dry his tears once more. But the feeling of being trapped in his arms and have his nose filled with that toxic smell of the cologne left Jimin to break down and cry in front of the man he never wanted to feel the comfort of.
"Jimin... please don't cry... I care about you too much to see you like this... after all this time I never want to see you like this," his manipulative voice never seemed to comfort Jimin. It was like an act Jimin never wanted to fuel. While Jimin tired to hold back his sobs and dry his tears as he looks out the windows from the chair he was trapped in, he felt the hand of the man softly dry his tears. That's when another horrifying memory overcame Jimin and caused him to close his eyes tightly and press his head against the couch further.

Abruptly, the door to the office opened and quickly, the director moved from the chair to look up and see that it was Namjoon standing there. Looking in and quickly glancing away from the man that trapped Jimin against the chair.
"Ever heard of knocking, Mr. Kim?" He called out as Namjoon finally stared at the man. Fixing his own tie and walking away from Jimin just to sit at his office chair right after. "What is it?"
"Good morning Director Sung, Mr. Park is due for another meeting in five minutes and since I looked over the reason for this meeting, there was nothing listed so I'm able to take him early from here," Namjoon mentioned as he stepped in with just a deep glare that kept the Director raising a brow. "Nothing too important, right? We shouldn't waste any precious time."
"That is right, Namjoon. Go on, I won't mind. Thank you. We just so happened to be finished here."
With that being said, Jimin quickly sprung up from his chair and dried the tears he shed from his face and walked off. Not even saying goodbye or even looking back at the man that caused him so much emotional pain. Jimin walked off until he left the office as Namjoon only stood there, glaring at his boss at the desk. He wanted to say many things, but he could only bow and walk away silently.
Once Namjoon reached the hallway, Jimin was already gone from the floor and he could only imagine that Jimin raced to the car waiting for him outside by now. This only left the manager to sigh and jog down the long halls before him in order to reach the next elevator down to the lobby.
Later on the day, Jungkook was sitting in the surveillance and printing room. Thinking of the number he was given by Jimin and had yet to reach out to him. He was tempted, but he had to wait until the night since he didn't bring the slip with him to work. Jungkook sat in front of the monitor, not wanting to open the footage from yesterday since he had yet to crop it out and delete that half. He would have to be alone for that to happen and it may take a while. So, he sat there and waited for closing time just to do so in order to avoid any interruptions.
As he waited, he looked up at the live footage to see Yoongi sitting at the front desk, working as always. That was the hardworking man Jungkook admired.
Jungkook wanted clarity with Jimin in order to move on and return to admiring Yoongi. He was so sure that he wanted Yoongi but after those words he told him about being a brother, Jungkook feared that all he knew about admiring the older man, was now going to be nothing if he didn't act towards it. Deep down, Jungkook couldn't ever think of being with Jimin. Surely an A-list celebrity here will be way off his league, but then Jungkook kept thinking of the way he kissed him and held him the day before. It had to mean something more than just a passionate moment.
However, when it came to feelings for Jimin, Jungkook just wasn't so confident about that. He barely knew the true Jimin enough to admire him like the way he admired Yoongi. To Jungkook, Yoongi was closer to him and fit into his type but he wasn't so sure about who Jimin truly was to even make that decision. All in all, Jungkook just knew he had a better chance with Yoongi since he knew much about him by now.
"Fuck... why did I have to do it? I only complicate my life even further! Why do I like to stress myself out? It doesn't have to be this way if I used my brain..." Jungkook scolded himself and let out a scoff. "Great, I sound just like my mother now."
"Don't say that, your mother is a great woman..." called out the older man that was sitting at the front desk before. Yoongi walked in and approached the big printer he would always print the orders from. "You've been here for quite some time, Jungkook... got something on your mind?"
"Oh... nothing... it's really nothing," Jungkook turned red by the second and looked up to see Yoongi setting up the printer. "I'm just talking to myself..."
"Is it helpful to talk to yourself? You sound like Taehyung now when it comes to those weird theories he comes up with."
"FUCK YOU!" shouted Taehyung from the lobby and left Yoongi and Jungkook laughing at that.
"Even he knows it's true~" Yoongi whispered and looked at his boss right after. "Ah, I know we aren't very close, but if anything, I'm here. I want to be a big brother to you, do you understand what I mean?"
"A brother... yeah..." Jungkook said to himself and with those words bothering him once more, Jungkook shook his head and let out an exhale. "I think... I think we should bond over drinks some time, as friends... wouldn't that be a better step instead of jumping to brothers?" Jungkook asked and watched the smile Yoongi had over his face before he nodded and listened to the printer begin to work on the order.
"That would be great. We still need to drink in celebration for the accomplishments but aside from that, I guess we can just go apart from making this a business celebration," Yoongi promised.
Finally Jungkook was believing that he was sorting out his own issues one at a time. Through there, he hoped to call Jimin after work and talk to him about the day before. With this, he slowly hoped to build a friendship with Yoongi and also talk to Jimin in hopes of gaining clarity. However, even if his mind was on the right path to growing a close bond with his crush, Yoongi just wasn't on his mind at the moment. Jimin was the only one that remained in Jungkook's head. In a moment where Jungkook thought he would be happy about talking to Yoongi for once, he couldn't help but to feel like he wanted to call Jimin instead. He couldn't stop thinking about Park Jimin.
