《Son of Chaos || Percy Jackson》Kissing under the moonlight

At the sound of my words had the pair of footsteps pausing behind me and I casted a lazy look over my shoulder, meeting her shocked eyes with a soft smile. At the sight of me catching her caused her to flush in embarrassment, making me chuckle softly before I gesture for her to take a seat beside me. "Have a seat, I promise I don't bite." I said simply, setting my bottle of water aside as I faced the view for me again. "There is a reason why you came here, didn't you?"

After a few moments I heard someone settle down beside me, making me cast the quiet goddess a soft smile as I faced the ocean again, letting her be the one who starts the conversation. "What are you doing here?" She asks after we sat in comfortable silence, her question causing me to shrug as I leaned myself on my knees, my elbows resting on my knees curiously. "I wanted to get away for a bit." I said simply, sending her another look before I watched the soft waves lapping on the shoreline again. "Back when I live on Earth, I used to visit the ocean to find a refuge from the world." I explained, to which she nodded slowly. I had expected her to push me to know more answers, but judging from her silence, I relaxed a little at the thought that she was not going to push me for more details.

"I hate to burst your bubble, Lady Artemis." I said after a moment, pushing myself off my knees to cast her a look. I was about to continue my sentence when I realised just how close we have gotten, her wide silver eyes watching me in shock as well; as if she couldn't move away too. Her soft brown hair swayed with the wind ever so slightly, giving the usual dangerous and lethal goddess look so...innocent and beautiful. I didn't know what came over me, but in a flash I felt a pair of soft lips pressing against mine hesitantly. Without hesitation I leaned over to deepen the kiss, turning myself a little so my chest was facing her as I felt a pair of soft hands resting on my cheeks.

However, I pulled away when I felt a soft nip at the bottom of my lip, my hooded eyes watching her closely as we panted softly. "I-I am so sorry." I mumble out hastily as I got up, giving her a regretful look underneath my hood as I bowed apologetically. "I didn't - I don't know what came over me." I said, unsure of just what to say to the goddess who was trying to catch my eye. I was about to turn and walk away when a soft hand grabbed onto mine, causing me to freeze in my steps. "Omega.." She called out softly, her voice sounding so soft and sad that it had me turning to face her again, my eyes meeting her silver eyes that were begging me silently. "Please...just sit down again."

After a few tensed moments I slowly settled down beside her again, slowly sitting down at the free space beside her; my entire body stiff from the entire ordeal. The goddess beside me didn't let my hand go as she stared at our joined her hands, seeming to be deep in thought whilst I prayed to my father that I wasn't taken out right here by a group of highly skilled huntresses for kissing their goddess by accident. "I...didn't expect for that to happen." She said after a moment of hesitation, making me meet her eyes on hesitantly as she gave me a reassuring smile. "Don't look that nervous...the girls will not hurt you as long as I am around."

Her comment definitely did not make me feel better - but the fact she tried to reassure me caused me to chuckle softly; relaxing my stiff body a little. "Glad to know that." I said as I gently squeezed her hand in mine, finding it quite comfortable in between her own as we just sat there in silence. However, I decided that I was not going to go anything else, so I gently squeezed her hand in mine, causing her to look over at me. "Why don't I walk you back to your cabin for tonight?" I offered, since I didn't want a repeat of before. I mean - I don't think I'd avoid her if she were to kiss me again, but I think the best thing now is for us to sleep on it. "If you want, we can talk about what happened earlier tomorrow."

Artemis hesitates for a moment before she slowly nodded, making me smile as I stood up; helping her up in the process. Once she had dusted most of the dust from her body, I led her back to the camp, not even bothering to point out how she still had her hands clasping onto mine tightly. Even as we reached her cabin I didn't question it, but I did decide to pull them up to press a soft kiss to the back of them as a parting. This action alone caused her tan cheeks to flare up in a blush, causing me to chuckle softly at the sight of the usually cool-headed and stonic woman to blush at something as simple as that.

"Good night, Lady Artemis." I mumbled softly and bowed at her, taking a few steps away from her before I let her hands go; turning away as I made my way towards my cabin again. I can feel her eyes on my back as I made my way back to my cabin, even as I opened the door to the cabin and walking in.

Closing the door behind me, I sighed softly and tossed my hood up as I thought back about the moment. However, when I looked up I almost let out a scream of shock. I mean - it wasn't every day you see one of your best friends basically making out with your younger sister on an empty couch. "What the fuck?!" I yelled after a moment in shock, causing the two to jump away from one another at my loud voice, two terrified faces turning to meet my shocked eyes. It was deadly silent as Luke awkwardly pushes himself off of Amber, who was watching me with both calm and terrified eyes. "Perce, I can explain-"

"My younger sister?! Seriously?" I exclaimed in shock, tossing my hands up in anger as I narrowed my eyes at Luke. "I thought Jason was bullshitting me when he said you had a thing for her! But that's not even the worse part about this! You two were basically grinding up against each other in the living room. I sit here every day!" I exclaimed in anger, not even caring how big of a scene I was causing. "I don't even know what to say about this."

Luke and Amber seemed to share a look of uncertainty before Amber got up slowly, taking a few steps towards me as I glared at them with narrowed eyes. "I - well, we were going to tell you about this a little later." Amber offered after a moment, biting her lip as she gave me puppy eyes, her hands reaching out to clasps my hand in hers. "But we haven't really worked out that bit just yet. The whole label thing." She tried to explain, to which I just gave her a sarcastic smile. "I am pretty sure making out on the couch doesn't count as something best friends do."

Amber blushes at my words and I just sigh, not even having the energy to deal with this right now. Plus, the kiss I had earlier wasn't my proudest moment either, so technically I have no right to even comment on this issue right now But she was my younger sister, so that gives me some ground I guess. "You know what? I am not going to deal with this - I rather you date that dumbass then be whisked off by some random dude." I said after awhile, ruffling Amber's hair tiredly before I turned my unamused eyes onto Luke again, who stiffen on sight. "Hurt her, and I will make sure to turn you into a doorknob."

"Percy." Amber whined out as I walked away, not even casting them another look as I waved at them tiredly over my shoulder, slamming the door to my room loudly. I just want my bed. I thought to myself as I stripped myself down into my boxes and jumped face first onto my best, sighing tiredly. Soon though, sleep consumed me completely; but that didn't mean it was peaceful.

...Dream...

I woke up being chained onto the floor, my body burning at the feeling of having wounds upon wounds being inflicted on me. Before I can react, I heard a sharp noise and felt something thin and sharp slashing across my sore back, forcing another scream of pain from me.

I don't remember how I got here, or why I was here - the only thing I can register was the pain I can feel all over my body as someone let out a menacing laugh from somewhere behind me.

Blood dripped off a wound on my head, mixing with the cold sweat that had broken out all over my body as I shook in pain, taking in deep but pained breaths as I tried to blink through the overwhelming pain to think. My eyes were being blindfolded by something, and the feeling of the rough concrete beneath my raw knees caused me to shift a little in pain. "Sad, isn't it?" A voice whispered into my ear, causing me to tense at how gleeful the man was at the sight of my pain. "Do you want to see what the future as install for you? Should you follow your current path, that is?" The man asked tauntingly just as horrible images started to flash before me, causing me to freeze up in fear.

Amber's lifeless eyes staring back at me, her eyes opened in a silent scream as a monster dug and tore through her intestines.

Jason and Luke being chained and beaten, hanging from their wrists on the verge of death whilst the others of my army laid around them, all of them at different stages of decomposition.

Camp Half-Blood's once green valley now stained in red, fires burning the cabins as mountains of skeletons decorated the once cheerful and happy camp. In the middle of it all, sitting on a throne made of twisted roots and bones, was a smirking man. He was leaning back, his legs crossed in a lazy manner as his chin resting in his hand. "See, my beloved nephew?" He taunted me as he tilted his head lazily, causing me to scowl as I shook in anger. "All this death and sorrow...all because of something as small as your hero complex." He said simply before he leaned towards me, pointing a finger at me. "All of this, is because of you."

I sat there, bleeding slowly as silently tears slid down my face. How did I get here? Why am I here? Will I die here? Millions of questions were bouncing around my head, as I closed my eyes to avoid looking at the chaos around me. But I couldn't escape the faces of my dead friends, of my dead sister, her usually lively violet eyes now lifeless haunts my very thoughts. It was like the more I tried to avoid the scenes before me, the more my brain tries to remind me, and I can already feel myself start to really loose it.

For the first time in a years, I was scared. I didn't know what to do, I didn't have a plan, and I don't have Annabeth or Amber to help me. I was all alone, and I feel so helpless. My legs were broken, and I felt as if I was carrying the sky again. My body just can't move anymore with how tired and worn out it was, being the punching bag for End. Will I die here?

I closed my eyes in defeat but heard a voice scream in my head, causing me to tense up from the shock of it, Get up, Seaweed Brain! Just wake up!

Annabeth? I thought as I heard the voice again, but it was fading quickly. Never mind that, Percy! Just wake up! Wake up already Seaweed Brain! Wake. UP!
