《Doctor Who : The Emerging Robots》Escape & The First Showdown

The glacial breeze blowing constantly froze the window. His hand was practically stuck to the side of the chamber. White specks of frost covered the Doctor as he awoke only to begin to shiver frantically. He was locked inside the same chamber the previous man who got shot only moments before was locked inside. The Sedranstak robots were locking the door the Time Lord had tried to escape out of earlier. He could feel the residual energy waving up and down his body creating heat so he could survive as he was still in the first hour of his regeneration cycle. With the particles in action, he began to move his arm off the side of the chamber in which he had been stuck to. He brought it up towards the inner left pocket of his jacket where he had placed his sonic screwdriver when he got changed.
The pocket was ripped and the screwdriver was missing, lacking that survival feeling the Doctor previously had. He had completely forgotten about the time crash set to go off in 15 minutes as the Doctor was knocked out for a fair amount of time. Luckily, it was rested on the floor but the space within the chamber made it hard to get it. It was covered in frost so a push of a button was all it took for it to heat up enough so it actually worked. The white solid covered the device quickly began to melt and drip down to where the Doctor had rest his feet. It was soon gone within no time. The good old screwdriver was good for use. The button was pressed and the device was aimed at the lock on the exterior of the chamber. The connection was very dodgy between the screwdriver and the lock, instead accidentally activating a more powerful blast of frost to hit the Doctor. He had to hurry if he wanted to live and save time. The frost was quickly building up and his legs were stiffening along with his arms. However, the connection on the sonic screwdriver began to connect to the lock and within seconds, the door unlocked and flew open. He was free but he now only has 13 minutes to save Earth from a time crash.

Sirens began to blare out from the room as one of the robots stomped inside with attack mode level 3 engaged. Their tone of voice was more stern than before. The Doctor ran behind where the unknown man hid before he was brutally killed.
"Stop. I know you are here. Step out and face your punishment." The gun was hoisted up and fired a laser at the chamber lock which caused a few sparks to fly and an explosion to go off, startling the man. He pulled out his screwdriver once again and enhance the frequency. He pointed it at the lights and pushed the button, causing the lights to implode. The room went to pitch black with the exception of a laser sight on the gun from the Sedranstak robot.
The Doctor now had to find a way to take out this bot without attracting any attention unless he wanted to meet a brutal end. He lowered the frequency of the screwdriver to the minimum so it acted purely as a light in order to get around. He pushed the button at the wrong time as the bot spotted him and fired. Luckily he missed and the Doctor turned off the screwdriver in order to avoid detection. Then, an idea sparked into his mind. He activated a strobe light mode on the device and threw it over the Sedranstak so it landed behind it, causing a distraction. Somehow it worked. With quick movements, the Doctor ran over to a power supply which could only just be seen from a distance. He flicked a switch which activated luminous lights to brighten the room. The Doctor has revealed himself and practically allowed himself to be shot. With split second thinking and a new agile body, the Doctor sprinted across the room in zig zags towards the other side, jumped on the top of the chambers and jumped onto the wall in which there was a small railing above the door. A smooth backflip landed the Doctor on the shoulders of the Sedranstak. It soon began tossing back and forth trying to get rid of the Doctor but he grabbed hold of the head for dear life. The robot was constantly throwing itself around until it took once wrong move and threw the Doctor right off it whilst ripped off his head from the circuits. The head was where most of the central processing units were installed. That was one down, one to go as far as he knew...

8 137Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
8 192The Skies of Aurora (To be rewritten in the future)
The Skies of Aurora A world full of thousands of islands spread throughout an endless sky with no ground to be seen beneath them. Here we find Shawn Blake, who lives a quiet life near a dungeon on the Isle of Fallen Snow. Very few people ever visit the Isle of Fallen Snow because there is only one dungeon that has a connection to the island in all of the endless Skies of Aurora. Thanks to that, Shawn has been able to live peacefully on the island with nothing but his training to worry about, despite being a hybrid of more than one of the five ruling races. However, unfortunately for Shawn, his peaceful life is about to come to an end as some visitors make their way to the Isle of Fallen Snow for reasons unknown. The world of Aurora is a world of endless skies full of floating islands separated by open air with the void far below them, and the only way to get from one island to another is through portals that are located at the end of each dungeon. These portals are connected to the central portal on another island. This book is a litrpg, fantasy, and sky world all in one. I hope you enjoy my book, and I welcome any and all suggestions.
