《Writers Game: Whodunnit?》Task Four Males

As we walked into the overgrown hedge maze, the sky seemed to darken. Lillian, Charlotte, and I walked in together. We decided to split up when there was a fork in the road.

There was a three way path. One to the right, one to the left, and one going straight. Great, split up at the start, I thought. "So who's taking which path?" Charlotte asked unenthusiastically.

"I'll take right," Lillian declared.

"I guess I'll do left," I said.

"So that leaves me with center! Cool! She'll we get started?" Charlotte asked.

"We shall. And best of luck to the three of us."

As we walked away from one another, I could hear a distant grunting-whining noise. I kept following the path until I came to a split in the maze.

"Shit. Now which way do I go?... Forwards."

I kept wandering. I knew Hagan was in front of me so I stayed farther back so she wouldn't notice me. I looked around the corner and could've sworn Hagan was there. But she wasn't. All I saw were some rattling bushes.

Not too much later, I heard a blood curdling scream that seemed to get muffled.

"Charlotte! Lillian!" I called, panicking.

"We're both good!" They called back.

As I ran, now sure there was no sign of Hagan, I peered around every corner. When I peered around the last one, I saw a trio of people, Sabrina, Nathaniel, and Alexander, all sitting in the middle, tied up and duct tape over their mouths.

Sabrina saw me and let out a grunt as she shook her head furiously.

"Don't worry," I said, "it's not me."

She kept shaking her head, tears now running down her cheeks. I took a step closer and I felt a tug at my ankle. I look down to see a silver trip wire stretched out. I heard a clicking noise and out came three arrows from the hedge, hitting the three of them dead in the forehead.

I almost passed out. Seeing them dead is one thing but seeing it happen and being the cause of it, really hurt me. I heard a bell and assumed that meant that it had ended. I walked out of the maze to see everyone standing there, staring at me.

"S-sorry," I stammered.

Charlotte nodded and walked me to the parlor.

"What happened?!" The girls both asked.

I told them my story and who I was to evict.

When it came time for the eviction ceremony, I got up and stated my case.

"... And I vote to evict Hagan."
