《Whodunnit 2》Chapter 28 - Bloodbath

The next morning, the guests woke up and did their own thing.
Chantal & Brett spent the whole morning swimming in the main resort pool. It still freaked the couple out about how Mike bled out in the pool days before, but it was the biggest pool on the island. They both used the space to get closer to each other in many ways. They both held each other close, letting their bodies touch skin to skin as they smiled from ear to ear, almost as if they were on a couples honeymoon rather than taking part in a game of life or death.
Cecilia spent most of the morning in her room after grabbing breakfast from the kitchen. She sat by her bedroom desk and laid out several pictures of her kids and the rest of her family. She reminisced about how it would feel to be able to talk to her children. The young mother felt stupid about how many times she had taken her life for granted before the game. She told herself every day she needed to win to get back to her life and family. She couldn't deal with knowing that potentially 'The American Dream' would be her fatal demise.
Giles also stayed in his private quarters. He had been keeping a notebook since the beginning of the game (unbeknownst to the killer) and revised his notes every morning. The butler knew from the previous games that observing the guests and noting down everything was crucial in potentially catching out who the killer is. He thought he knew who the killer was at this point.
He thought Brett was very underrated in terms of intelligence. Giles thought that the fact he had won best case statement three times in a row was astonishing. It was something he had never seen before in any of the games. However, he could see how this could all be a ploy and Brett could very well be the killer. By winning the case statements it would put less hassle on the killer since he wouldn't have to pretend to be scared or in the middle.
He thought that Grace was a very sweet person. It was clear to him that she genuinely cared about the other's well-being. He also saw she was very loyal to her alliance and he was surprised they had all made it to the final five. However, he could see how Grace could be the killer. Not a lot of people would suspect her to be the killer, and he felt she was intelligent enough to fool any of the guests.

He thought that Chantal was very lucky. Giles knew she definitely wasn't the smartest guest but she had a good relationship with Brett and that's what has brought her to the final five. He felt she relied on her alliances' information and basically rode their coattails to get to the end. The butler wasn't sure if Chantal truly liked Brett, she might have just been using her looks to advance herself. However, he could see how she could be the killer since she's played such an under the radar game that no one would suspect her.
He thought Cecilia was the mother figure of the group. Giles thought she had definitely been through a lot of trauma, seeing how she was the only guest with kids. He saw she was very loyal to Grace and respected her for that. However, he could see how Cecilia could be the killer. She had been very under the radar and through that, not a lot of people would have guessed her as the killer. Plus not a lot of people could understand her through the accent.
He thought that Kendra was the luckiest guest across all the games he had hosted. No one has ever survived being scared more than three times. If Kendra survived once more that would be five times she had escaped death. She hadn't been very open to others who weren't in her alliance, and the butler knew that could be her downfall. However, he knew there was a slim chance she was the killer. But Giles doubted the killer would make it that obvious by acting to be scared five times.
He closed the book after making new notes and returned to fulfilling his butler's duties.

By nothing had happened. Cecilia had tried to reach out to Grace earlier in the day but the author had let her friend know she wanted space. Chantal even tried to reach out to Kendra but she didn't open her door.
Discussions took place between the group of Brett, Chantal & Cecilia once again on who they thought would survive. The general consensus was that Kendra would be killed off.
"There's no way she can be that lucky," Cecilia stated.
Chantal gave a hum in response.
"If she survives I'll be certain that she's the killer. One-hundred percent." Brett responded.
While the group was in their discussion, Giles interrupted with an unreadable expression laid across his face.
"The killer has made me aware that we are all expected to check the scared guests' room. Since there have been plans set out for tomorrow, events must be rushed at this point."

The three guests plus the butler strolled across the green grass from the outside of the main resort and up towards the marble staircase.
The group reached Grace's room first. Giles pulled out his master key card and was expected entry straight away, as the green light on the door handle indicated.
Chantal furrowed her eyebrows at this. She cast her mind back to the murder of Jeremy. She knew the killer had a master key card to get into every room, did this mean something?
Before Giles could place two steps into the authors' room, he fell to the floor with a loud thud. The group immediately rushed over to the butler in despair.
"Are you okay!?" Chantal said with worry evident in her voice.
Giles regained consciousness and looked up towards the ceiling of the room.
The group all saw Grace, stood on a chair with a small wooden object clasped in her hand.
"Grace! What the hell?" Brett said in an angry tone.
Grace jumped off the chair and composed herself. "Sorry. I thought the killer was coming into the room. I've been stood here for hours just in case."
Giles cupped his hand onto his forehead and cleared his throat. "Well now that we know that Miss Port is...dandy, let's move onto Miss Clarke's room."
The group all got a sinking feeling in their stomaches. They knew this wasn't going to end well. They all made a mental note to prepare themselves for literally anything as Giles was accepted entry into Kendra's room.
Kendra was laying still in her full bathtub. It was clear to the group that the model was well and truly dead, as the scene was a literal bloodbath. The crimson blood had mixed with the bath water for a long time now, and the once hot water which would have filled the tub was cold to the touch.
The model's right arm was extended out of the tub, and there were clear, deep lacerations on her wrist which travelled down her whole arm. Her whole body was submerged in the bath, except for her stunning face which was rested against the back of the bath and the only thing above water.
Grace & Cecilia immediately started crying. They had took in Kendra since the beginning and hoped they could all have had somehow escaped somehow. Especially since the duo both knew that Kendra appreciated her life arguably the most over the past days. But now it was just them, Kendra was gone.
Brett & Chantal stood in shock. It was something about the simplicity of this murder which made it so emotional. There was no elaborate murder scene, no explosions, no flying body parts, just a broken girl who was in a bath of her blood.
Giles interrupted the reaction with clearing his throat. The butler pulled out a note.
"Dear Mortals, it seems like little Kendra couldn't take the pressure. That's right, I didn't pull this off, she did this to herself..."
This caused all the guests to shed tears. They never imagined anyone could really be driven to the point of suicide in this game, but it had just gotten too much for the blonde. They knew that they would never forget her.
"In her defence, she was going to be the next to be killed off. But when I entered her room last night, she had already killed herself. Even in her death she is an inconvenience. She has thrown a spanner in my plans. Please follow Giles, the four of you are about to become three."
"What?" Cecilia gasped, still trying to wipe tears off her cheeks.
"Someone's going to be killed off? Oh my god." Brett felt like passing out once he heard the news. He had no idea what to expect next.
Before leaving the bathroom the guests all had one last look at Kendra, before saying goodbye for the last time and closing the bathroom door.
Once in the hallway, Giles lead the way for the final four to follow him to the pre-organised meeting point.
Three of the guests were terrified, they had no idea what to expect next. The only thing they could be sure of was that one of them was apparently about to be killed, but how?. Meanwhile, the killer was trying not to burst out with laughter. Even though Kendra had screwed up their schedule, they were secretly excited for this new stage to begin. It was nothing like what had happened at any final four in the previous games before. This was new, and it was nothing the guests would be expecting.
"This is going to be fun." The killer thought to their-self as the four (plus Giles) finally arrived at the spot.

Dropped into a Xianxia World
I think all of us have thought about what we would do in case of sudden Zombie apocolypse at least once.Acquiring a chainsaw and a team to get your back is a no brainer, but what do you do in case of sudden reincarnation? Not only that but in an all too familiar setting too...----This story should be a rather interesting journey for most, not the usual level up simulator that many Xianxia stories tend to be.I tried to create a very real personality of the Main character with quite a few flaws so don't expect him to always be right.A quick warning but 99% of the story will be held directly inside the MC's head and he tends to break the 4th wall very frequently, so don't be surprised.MATURE WARNING!This story has cursing, delicate subjects that may or may not offend people like the idea of slavery for example, descriptions of gore and death as well as erotic scenes! You have been warned!

Unknown Fate's End
The ancient's believed that a man's fate or destiny is written already, and that only God or maybe the Gods could change it. If they did change it, it was believed it was for a purpose unknown to that man or for maybe for the ammusement of those higher beings. However, whether that is true or not, one thing is for certain. Changing a man's fate will create a ripple of changes. Join our hero, who whether by luck, by some divine intervention, or by his own choice, separated from the fate that he shared with his fellow earthlings. Watch him struggle in his new world. Watch him grow. Watch him learn. Watch him walk a path oustside what destiny has for him. FYI: The magic concept in this story is high fantasy with involvement of polytheistic religions and demons. There will be a mix of GameLit style writing mixed with traditional magic novel style writing. The plot developement will be slow in the first volume, as I will focus on world building and character building. The main character will not be OP immediately and will develop into one in his own way over time. This series is built less like modern Japanese, Korean, and Chinese webnovels and more like the old school fanstasy novels like DND and Forgotten Realms.
