《Whodunnit 2》Chapter 21 - Goodbye Letter

After the discovery of Mary's body, Giles huddled the remaining guests outside the resort building and left them to decide what area they wanted to investigate.
Giles returned shortly afterward and asked the seven remaining guests where they wanted to go.
Chantal, Kristina & Kendra decided to go to the crime scene (which would be both Mary's bedroom and the part of the sea where the scuba-diving activity happened)
Grace & Brett decided to go to the last known whereabouts.
Cecilia & Troy (following their usual pattern) went to the morgue.
-
The three youngest female guests were guided to the familiar sight of Mary's room by Sophie the maid, and were told they only had fifteen minutes to investigate before they would have to leave and investigate the second part of the crime scene (which was the part of the sea where they did the scuba diving)
The smoke was still very present in the bedroom when the girls all entered. Chantal had to open both the window by the bed and window in the bathroom to get some real air inside.
"If there was a fire or something in here, there would be a core accelerate mark." Kristina announced to the group of the key point; with smoke, there has to be fire.
"But nothing exactly stands out so far." Kendra replied, noting that everything in the room did look very intact.
After the very short discussion, the girls all searched in silence. Chantal found what she thought was the accelerate mark that the youngest guest, Kristina was talking about. The singer noticed how on the bed side table, there was a single biro pen. On first inspections, it looks normal. However, when delved deeper it was noticeable that the pen was made from clear plastic (just like most pens) however, the bottom of the pen had black scorch marks.
The blonde kept it to herself, not wanting to share this potentially life-saving piece of information.
The other two females had trouble locating any clues. Kristina spent most of the time in Mary's bathroom, convinced that there had to have been a clue in there.

While Kendra kept herself busy examining the door of the bedroom. The model was looking for any signs of broken entry or potentially a rig in the doorway which could have set off the fire.
After fifteen minutes, Sophie gathered the three females and took them back to the familiar boat docks. They eventually docked the same boat and were instructed to remain in silence until they arrived at the certain part of sea.
Although they were advised not talk, it didn't stop the three guests from inspecting what was still on the boat from this morning. All the guests wet suits and gas tanks were on the boat (after stripping into their underwear or swim outfits during the ride back to the resort) however one thing was missing, Mary's oxygen tank and mask.
Once the boat stopped, the three youngest female guests were told they time had officially re-started. They all dove in, knowing they were searching for the same thing. Which was Mary's oxygen tank. The guests were supplied with their oxygen tanks and masks from earlier so they could delve deeper into the ocean.
It took eleven minutes for one of the girls to retrieve the tank. Chantal found it under a broken coral reef. The twenty-three-year old knew she had to examine the tank quickly, as Kristina & Kendra we're getting closer to where she was swimming.
Upon holding the tank in her hands, Mary's 'secure' oxygen tank fell apart. It split into two pieces length ways down. Chantal noticed how everything she assumed would be in an oxygen tank looked normal. However, one thing was puzzling her. The weird bag placed in the oxygen tank was something which the singer didn't think was normal. It was shaped just like an I.V bag. When Chantal looked deeper, she found that there was a slight imprint on the bag inside the tank. It said 'PartyProps Smoke Rig'
However, Chantal's hopes of finding out more about the bag were dashed as Sophie the maid suddenly alerted the girls underwater (via hurricane whistle) that their time was up.
The boat ride back was filled with anxiety and worry for Kendra & Kristina. They both gathered nothing from both aspects of the crime scene. It was only Chantal who felt confident in her chances as she enjoyed the unusually relaxing boat ride back to the island docks.

Grace & Brett were led to the last known whereabouts by May. It turned out the location of Mary's last know whereabouts, was the library.
The library still looked exquisite. Several book cases full of classic literature was stacked to the very top of the ceiling of the resort building. Grace & Brett also noticed the library ladder, which was used to reach the books which were impossible to reach from a humans reach.
The first thing that the duo immediately noticed was a single sheet of paper on the glossy wooden table. A single ink pen was resting next to the sheet. It didn't take a genius to realise that it was a letter/note written by Mary.
Grace picked up the letter and read out the lengthy dialogue in its entirety.
Grace wiped away a stray tear as she finished reading the letter out loud.
"That's horrible. I forgot she had children." Brett said, with the reality of the game finally setting in for him in the family aspect. Some people killed had children at home. Those kids would never be able to see their parents alive again.
As Grace went to fold the letter she noticed some books out of place on the floor of the library. They were nicely lined next the foot of the desk where the letter was.
Brett noticed this eye contact with the books and picked them out.
"History of Bandwell island." Brett read out the title.
Upon searching the book, the two investigators realised this was a book about the very island they were on. They finally had a name for the place they had been staying, Bandwell.
After a few pages of useless dialogue about how the island was inhabited, Brett & Grace stumbles upon a page which sent shivers down their spines.
Brett was at a loss for words. This seemingly normal tropical island that the group had been staying on for just over a week now, had a horrific past. Aside from the fact that they were stuck in the horrible game, the past gave the athlete more anxiety to stay on the small piece of land.
Grace was just as shocked. For her, it was no question that those missing people were most likely killed on the island and probably discarded into the sea.
"Do you think the killer is linked to the island in some way?" Brett asked.
The author shrugged in response "Probably, a family of murderers if you ask me."
After a couple more minutes of searching, the bell rang. Time was up.
Cecilia & Troy unusually were starting to get used to the sight of the morgue. The tiny shed was starting to fill up with the bodies of the former guests, each stored in their individual slots in the wall. It dawned on the two that potentially one of them could be left in the shed soon.
Cecilia found it hard to look at her dead alliance member, especially considering how the woman's murder was weirdly drawn out. She knew that Mary had definitely suffered, that affected the single mother greatly.
Troy bit the bottle and took off the white sheet covering Mary's dead body.
At first glance there were no external injuries. To a normal pathologist at first glance, old age or natural causes would he be first ruling.
"I don't even know where to start. There's literally nothing to look at." Cecilia stated.
Troy agreed in silence, worry started to settle in.
Astonishingly, Cecilia nor Troy found any clues which helped with the investigation of Mary's murder. Time came by, and the two had to leave.
It seemed the two got too confident in their investigative techniques. They missed out a key component, the evidence bags next to the body supplied clues which could have been a big clue to the murder.
But alas, both were left with anxiety ridden nerves as they walked out of the morgue. For the first time they both felt at risk of being scared.

She'll go all-in, guns blazing. But when the smoke clears there may be nothing left but a stranger's past and a lonely future. --- 'Kind's Kiss' is a light, modern-day fantasy, easy on the magic, heavy on the snark. Though complete it is still a work in progress. One reviewer described it as 'Buffy meets Sabrina, as done by Tarantino'. I'm still not sure if I should consider that a compliment or hire a hitman :-)

Slave 53: The Phoenix
Azgarth is a violent Warlord from a planet where everyone feared him, a man that never lost a battle whether it be from his enemies surrendering or dying. After entering a wormhole, this once infamous man had his memory completely wiped. He was enslaved under the name 53. The great comet arrived one day and gave 53 an extremely rare animal aspect, the Phoenix. Having a rare animal aspect puts people on the fast track to power in this world. Will 53 show the same brutality as his former self? Author: So there will probably be a lot of changes when I start hashing out the whole classes and what not. I'm not planning on this to have statuses or anything like that, but when people 'lvl up' is probably going to be something like ascending 1, 2, 3, etc. With each ascension they are many times stronger, for example, someone who hasn't ascend at all would be at 0, but someone with a 1 would be about 5x stronger than someone who is 0 and so on. It would take a long time to reach each one. With the red colored marks which represents fire, I have a couple ideas with what I want to do, in a way a battle royale, as this continent they are on isn't very large, but all four elements are on it (or more, I might add light, dark, and some others) but all the humans have red, while a different alien race has blue (water), brown (earth), and grey (Air). The color of the mark they have influences how they feel about each other, a example of that would be if a red saw a brown, then they would naturally feel a disgust about each other, and if they killed someone from a different color they would gain way more life essence which is needed to ascend than they would killing someone from their same color. The last thing, I'm not too sure about the main character yet, as I like the whole idea of a memory wipe, I almost think it'd be more entertaining to have the guy slowly regain all his memory, then just becoming his normal self again. If that's the case I'll have to change the title of book. The original idea was this guy would keep the name 53, and his prior self named Azgarth is sharing his body, as in he can talk to him and give him advice on things since he doesn't want him to die since he is sorta like a split personality sharing the same body. Looking at it now, idk if I want this guy to be named 53 forever. Warning: A lot of dark content in the book, especially in the flashbacks.

TRX's Adventures
Set during the 1980s, it narrates the daily life of Mathias, a boy with "psychic powers", and his friends, which ends when something happens that changes the course of our protagonist's life. ... This is titled this way because some letters of the characters' names form the TRX of the title... Although there is one character who literally has that name, it is also named after her. Ah, and if some parts sounds a bit weird because of some words, tell me. This also contains some simple drawings made by me. This is going to have a lot of edits, apparently.... And maybe I'll add a couple of stuff. I'll try to make this be good... Or, at least, fun. ... Also, the older version will stay, but it kind of spoils the plot (although it changed in many ways), so if you want to read it before this... Do it at your own risk.
