《Whodunnit 2》Chapter 1 - The New Game

As Giles stepped off the sailboat and took the first glimpse of the Luxurious, 'Heaven Honour Resort'. His first instincts were to run. He knew that this small group of killers was intensifying, and now the third game was beginning.

Arriving at the resort, Giles was shocked at the uncanny resemblance of Rue Manor. There were another great room and parlor. However, each of the rooms now had exotic Caribbean furniture, along with a marble staircase to the first floor. And the great room was completely marble, marble floors, marble walls. Everything was marble!

Each suite door was designed with what looked like handcrafted wood, it looked foreign but expensive at the same time. Giles also noticed how each guest had their own room assigned with their name labeled on the doors in the high-quality glass. There was, however, a bigger staff than usual at Rue Manor. Sophie & May were back, but this time there was a chef and also a pool boy, along with a lone waitress. Engaging in conversation with the staff, Giles learned that they had been warned about the 'game' by the same anonymous source almost two weeks ago.

The British Butler knew that the new guests would be arriving mid-afternoon. So to prepare for their arrival, Giles made sure to clean the dock of the resort, along with also cleaning the golf course which was laid out behind the pool of the resort. Cleaning the whole entire Manor wasn't exactly Giles' job, but he knew that if the killer wasn't happy, then that wasn't going to be a good outcome for anyone. Upon cleaning the great room for the fourth time, however, he finally noticed the resort brochure. Which obviously tricked 12 of the 13 guests which would be arriving.

"Do you dream of having an idilicc escape? Do you dream of having just simple days spent on the beach and overall relaxation? Then the 'Heaven Honour Resort' is for you! Rated 5/5 in terms of cleanliness, customer service, accommodation and catering, 'Heaven Honour Resort' is one of the highest rated resorts in the Caribbean, and assures 100% satisfaction throughout your visit. One of the things which set apart our resort from the rest is that there are no families allowed, not even couples! This escape is simply just for you. Upon arrival, you'll be treated like a living king or queen on the 'Heaven Honour Resort' island. Aside from the resort, the island offers several tennis courts, several bars, and jet ski adventures. So what are you waiting for? Call ----------- today to assure a place at the resort you will never forget!"

Giles smirked slightly at how easy it was for the killer to get these unlucky civilians to fall into his/hers trap. He often remembered wanting to tell all the guests to turn around and never go near the Rue Manor in the last two games. But he knew that if he did his life would have been well and truly over, and he didn't want to die.

So alas, Giles played along for the third time. And stood leisurely on the boat dock as he saw the first boat arrive up to the resort.

Cecilia Korka, 31, was the first guest to arrive. The full-time mom of two had lived in her native Cuba for most of her life (and her heavy accent proved it), she had only moved to America four years ago with the news of her first pregnancy. The freckled woman wanted to start a new life for herself and her child in California, seeing the most populated state in the U.S.A the correct way to go. She decided that leaving her two kids for a two-week vacation was very much needed, she trusted her two kids with one of her best friends back in California. Cecilia was wearing a long sundress which didn't even show off her toes along with a rather large straw hat. The brunette also had bangs which covered her forehead.

Mike Kimmel, 32, was the second guest to arrive. He was a police officer from Michigan, Detroit and recently married, the police officer didn't have many friends honestly. So he saw the two-week resort stay as some sort of honeymoon for singles. His wife was non to happy for him to leave for the Caribbean so close after they got married, but some part of Mike felt he needed a break. Mike was wearing a vibrant Hawaiian shirt when he stepped off his boat, along with cream khaki trousers. Which Giles felt didn't match at all.

Chantal Jennings, 23, was the third guest to plop off her boat. Chantal had recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee in hopes of becoming recognised for her Country singing techniques. She had left her family in Akron, Ohio to follow her dreams. The young girl had been working very hard to get her name 'out there' to the important people in the music industry in Nashville but she'd heard nothing back as of yet, the singer decided a break was definitely the answer. Chantal was blond and the light v-neck and shorts she was wearing brought out her blue eyes. She was clearly a stunning girl.

Kendra Clarke, 27, was the fourth guest to arrive. Kendra was a model from Las Vegas, Nevada. Her whole life she had lived a pretty well off lifestyle. Coming from a very rich family, she never really had any big responsibilities in her life and had practically almost everything done for her. Even signing up for her stay at the resort her parents organized. Giles noticed that the woman did look a lot younger than her age. He also noticed that just like Chantal, Kendra had striking blond hair, however, she was the tallest female so far at 5'10. To Giles, she just looked like the average 'blond girl'.

Paul Ray, 42, was the next to arrive. Paul was a very quiet, slightly overweight man who didn't really attract much attention to himself when he trailed up to the resort. Paul had been convinced by friends to take the once in a lifetime trip to the island. He eventually agreed after all the encouragement. Paul was surprisingly wearing a long sleeved top and jeans, and despite the sweat marks, Paul said he wasn't warm. Giles even tried to encourage the plumber to have a cold drink, which Paul politely declined. Paul was clearly an introvert.

Grace Port, 37, was a pretty famous romance author from Howard Beach, Queens. She had an ongoing romance book series which had racked up quite some money for the single woman. So she had more than enough money to afford several trips to the resort. The author thought she deserved a break from her hard work at her books, and the no internet and mobile phone rule on the resort also cut her off from the outside world. Which she think she needed from the popularity. Grace had shoulder length light ginger hair which was in a bob shape.

Jeremy Klein, 55, was another pretty famous guest. Since he was young he had a passion for directing, and after getting his degree in Directing and Producing, he quickly made a name for himself in the film industry. 14 years after his first film, he had won several acclaimed film awards and had directed for several of the most talented actors and actresses of today. Jeremy had a pretty stern face while stepping off the boat. In his career, he definitely wasn't best known for smiling. He was even described as the 'Simon Cowell of the film industry.' He was also ironically a pretty much dead on look-alike of Simon Cowell, just with brown hair.

Mary Banes, 60, was the eldest guest which would be at the resort. The woman had retired only four months ago from her job as a full-time midwife. Both her kids had families of their own now and lived in different states, and since her partner passed five years ago, Mary was lonely. So she saw the island getaway as a chance to meet new people and maybe make some new friends. Unfortunately, the eldest guest had picked up some bad habits from her husband's death and the smell of vodka in her breath was obvious. Giles had to even help the old woman from not falling off the dock and into the crystal clear sea. Mary had grey hair which was styled into a bun shape.

Aubrey Fredrickson, 40, had a pretty stern face which was almost identical to Jeremy's. Just like Jeremy, Aubrey was a head of a business. Her skincare business was a big success in her state of Georgia. Aubrey decided to come to the resort because of her estranged husband, the woman felt trapped with her husband around, the woman herself had been complimenting divorce for quite some time. So she decided that to really think about the decision, she'd leave him alone in their one bedroom apartment. Aubrey wore a black dress as she stepped off her boat. Her shoulder length black hair gave Aubrey some sort of a feisty look.

Brett Wayne, 25, was very similar to Chantal in many ways. For a start, he was a musician and was also currently living in Nashville, Tennessee. The twenty-five-year-old had been doing music since he could remember. But alas he was working in a cocktail bar as a server and not following his dreams as a singer. Arriving on the island, him and Chantal seemed to immediately click once inside the resort. Brett had long black hair which curled at the front. He was also pretty muscular (which caught most of the female guest's attention). Giles noted how he looked a lot like Ulysses from the first game. Well, the once alive Ulysses that is.

Troy Dreyford, 28, was another muscular guest. The sprinter from North Carolina was a recent sensation in the sports industry. And had only just started his career, but alas a recent drugs test revealed that he was, in fact, taking an illegal drug. The sprinter was shunned upon by the media and well and truly needed a getaway, his coach suggested the trip to him, seeing that heaven Honour resort as some sort of detox. His coach also knew that Troy was less likely to get the illegal drugs on the island. Unbeknown to Troy, however, his coach had signed up his sister and gymnast Kristina Dreyford. Kristina was twenty years old but carried herself in a much more mature way than her actual age. Just like Troy, she was in the sports industry, but her Gymnastics career had yet to get to really big places. The siblings were both pretty tanned, they also had identical brown hair. If it wasn't for the age gap, people would properly assume they were twins.

The thirteen and final guest to arrive at the resort was Colton Rhodes. Just like Kendra, Colton grew up in a pretty well-off family in Malibu. The twenty-four-year-old was currently in his final year of college, studying business full time. The young man took the opportunity to go the island for the vacation as his college was currently closed for renovation. He did bring his studies with him though, and he did plan to study while at the resort. Colton was a little on the chubby side and seemed to attract to guests with his humor, the business student had an undeniable comedic side to him. Even when he thought he wasn't being funny, others laughed along. Even Giles (which was one of the first times he had laughed during all of the games.)

Once Giles made sure all the guests had arrived on the island. He made his way inside the resort.

-

Giles noticed how upon entering the resort. All the guests were deep in conversation!

Aubrey, Grace & Mary were all talking about their lives and occupations.

"Yeah, my two kids are all grown up now. They have their own families in other states." Mary went first on the topic of children, which was brought up by Aubrey.

"Have you ever thought about kids?" Grace asked Aubrey, turning to her with a polite smile.

Aubrey scrunched up her face "I did want kids. But I think its a bit too late for me now. Plus if my slob of a husband would actually engage with me."

Mary & Grace exchanged awkward looks.

"So is he not the best of husbands?" Mary gingerly asked.

"Should have been gassed at birth, don't know why I married him." The businesswoman scoffed. Mary & Grace laughed slightly at the humorous comment before sipping their champagne supplied by Giles upon entry to the resort.

Meanwhile, Chantal & Brett were very clearly flirting by the massive fish tank. The two guests definitely seemed to bond almost immediately.

On the other hand, Kristina & Troy were bickering near one of the bookcases. Troy was mostly mad that his sister agreed to come to the island seeing how the 'no family' rule of the resort was pretty clear. To say he was bitter was an understatement.

Jeremy, Mike, Colton & Paul sat mostly in silence on one of the couches as a Caribbean volleyball match was being broadcast live on TV. There was an occasional cheer from Colton or Mike if someone scored.

Finally, he noticed that Kendra & Cecilia were engaging in small talk. The butler wondered if Kendra could even actually interpret the Cubans accent at all.

The butler cleared his throat and started attracting attention to himself. "Ladies and gentlemen. My name is Giles, and I am the butler here at 'Heaven Honour Resort'."

Some of the guests cheered as the butler lively introduced himself.

"I truly hope that you all enjoy yourself during your stay here. And if there is anything I can do to make your stay more pleasurable while you are here. Please do not hesitate to let me know. The only rule here is that you all must attend dinner as a group. Dinner tonight will be served at 6:30 PM, so please dress formal and don't forget to be on time. As for that, enjoy yourselves, my guests."

Giles then escaped upstairs and into his butlers quarters, leaving the thirteen guests to mingle.

"I love Australian accents." Kendra gushes to Cecilia as she watched the butler swiftly step up the marble staircase.

"I think he's British," Cecilia replied in her heavy accent.

Kendra pulled a confused face "They're the same accents though right?"

After a few minutes of Cecilia trying to prove to Kendra that Australia & England were on the opposite sides of the world to each other, Kendra still wasn't convinced.

Cecilia sighed to herself, it quickly dawned on her that Kendra wasn't the brightest of people. The Cuban quickly excused herself and went over to talk to Troy & Kristina.

-

Meanwhile, Colton had separated from the guys (who stayed watching volleyball on the couch) and engaged in conversation with Chantal & Brett.

"Hey guys, I'm Colton." Colton offered each of them a friendly handshake. Which they each replied with one back.

"Chantal. Nice to meet you." Chantal gave the business student a wide smile.

"And I'm Brett. This is awesome, isn't it? This will be the best trip ever." Brett was clearly excited for the stay at the drop dead resort.

Colton returned the excitement. "Yes. I'm so pumped!"

Chantal was also excited "Sun, sand, and luxury!"

"So what do you guys do then?" Colton asked the pair before sipping on his champagne.

"Well, we're both conveniently singers." Chantal laughed.

"Oh wow! So where are you both from? "

"The same location. Nashville" Brett chucked back.

"That's so strange." Colton laughed back "I'm a business student, hoping to run my own business one day."

"That's cool!" Chantal smiled again.

The three seemed to somehow bond very quickly to each other. Almost like they had the same amount of energy levels, but not to the point where they were all annoying each other.

-

"My wife wasn't exactly pleased for me to come out on my own here. But I think I needed a break from my career." Jeremy was talking to Paul, the slightly overweight guest, by the entrance of the resort.

"I got convinced by friends." Paul shrugged. In a quiet voice.

"You haven't got a wife? Or kids?" Jeremy asked.

Paul made a face "Nah. I don't really believe in marriage, to be honest. And I didn't really get round to having kids. Would have liked to have one or two though."

Jeremy spoke up "Well you know, it's never too late to try y'know?" The director smirked.

Paul made another face "At my age? Hell no!"

-

"Oh my goodness!" Cecilia exclaimed in her heavy accent. "So you two are siblings?" The Cuban couldn't believe her ears after she split up the squabble between brother and sister, Troy & Kristina.

"Yeah," Troy said in a pretty pissed off tone. Kristina rolled her eyes in response.

"I'm eight years younger," Kristina mentioned.

Cecilia sent her voice into a whisper "So do they know that you two are y'know family? Because that 'no family' rule was pretty strict."

Troy sighed "We're just gonna have to keep it a secret from the butler guy."

"Yeah." Kristina sighed as well.

-

After the thirteen guests got to know each other better, they all scattered around the resort.

Colton & Mike tried to make their way through the massive garden maze. But had to ring the emergency bell after getting lost.

Aubrey did a spot of tennis.

Grace & Mary bonded by watching a box set of 'The Golden Girls' on the seventy-inch tv.

And the other guests chilled either outside or in their suites.

Until it happened.

The rooftop pool was originally meant to be unveiled to the guests that night. However, a rude interruption definitely ruined the surprise.

While Chantal & Brett were enjoying some fruit smoothies in the pool bar, they saw a lifeless body fall from the roof. Falling at an alarming rate.

They didn't have much time to react.

"Oh my gosh!" Chantal screamed the minute she laid eyes on the falling

body.

"Fuck!" Brett shouted before covering Chantal's eyes from the sight which would soon follow.

Thud

The thud seemed to vibrate throughout the whole entire island. Even the wildlife turned silent as the first few seconds of the thud hit Chantal & Brett's eardrums.

Chantal screamed at the top of her lungs as a few of the guests (who were nearby) suddenly scattered outside.

"What the fuck was that?" Paul said in a terrified voice.

"Did someone drop something?" Kendra asked.

Chantal & Brett came running out the bar in their swimsuits and approached the body. By this time Paul, Kendra & Cecilia all laid eyes on the body and stared in a stunned silence.

"Who is that?" Brett said, on the verge of puking.

"Well judging from the hair it's one of the girls. Did she jump? What the fuck happened?" Cecilia exclaimed.

"I.. I don't know." Chantal stuttered, with fresh tears now falling from her crystal blue eyes.

Grace, Jeremy, Colton, Mary, Kristina & Troy all suddenly walked out of the golf course. And stopped in their tracks upon seeing the body

"What the fuck did you guys do! Is she dead ?" Jeremy dropped his golf clubs in shock.

Brett stuttered "We saw her fall from the roof. I think she jumped."

Giles interrupted the chaos.

"Aubrey did not jump off that roof."

The twelve guests all turned around to face Giles.

"She was murdered."
