Chapter 29: A spark
At an open air Cafe in the heart of Hosu city an elderly man who looked like Morgan freeman calmly sat at a table eating a waffle topped with syrup and chopped mango, across from him was an elderly man with thin slicked back black hair and sunken eyes in a formal business suit who was enjoying a slice of pizza. A suitcase resting at his foot was marked with a picture of crossed scythes.
"How is your vacation so far?" The elderly man asked, his voice a soft rasp.
"It would of ended a lot sooner hadn't I of lost my keys back when that whole fiasco with arch duke Ferdinand being assassinated." The Morgan freeman lookalike stated softly.
"Still can't believe you lost a spark of your divinity, can't even keep a simple key let alone your family intact." The elderly being huffed in disbelief.
"And yourself Mortis?" The Morgan freeman lookalike replied in turn, ignoring the jab at him.
"The Winchesters are being pains in the ass again." Mortis huffed as he paused eating his slice of pizza. "They recruited your son whatshisface the one who impersonated Loki for a while."
"That would be Gabriel." The lookalike chuckled softly.
"Yes Gabriel. They recruited him to stop some brat from starting the apocalypse." Mortis hummed to himself before both him and his dining companion looked in the same direction with looks of shock. "Well. Looks like your key has found a new host you old fart, someone who was meant to die didn't."

"Indeed. Perhaps though this is for the better." The Freeman lookalike hummed as he left a check on the table and stood up. "It has been a while since I visited my grand kids anyway."
[Gym Gamma, ruins of training building B]
Ochako groaned in pain as muffled noises reached her still ringing ears as she came too. Sharp pain ran up her left leg yet she couldn't move in such a way to see it. Her helmet was cracked by a jagged line down the middle and a chunk of the corner was missing. Her chin guard was scraped badly enough the that inner kevlar mesh was visible under the steel shell. Her uniform had several holes in it from debris and she was pretty sure her left pinky was dislocated while her right arm from the elbow down was pinned under a concrete slab.
Behind her head she heard Kyoka groan in pain. Looking slightly to the left Ochako could barely see Kyoka's now scratched up arm shaking under the strain of the rubble in the darkness. She blushed feeling the slim girl pressed against her back as she tried to remember what the hell happened. She remembered being ambushed by the purple haired girl two floors from the roof before everything just blanked on her.
"..." a muffled voice called out to her but the ringing in her ears hadn't yet subsided.
"...ch...o ch...ko...OCHAKO!" Kyoko shouted loudly. "IF YOU ARE AWAKE TAP MY ARM OR SOMETHING I CANT HEAR ANYTHING!"
Wincing in pain ochako managed to move her arm and gently tap Kyoka's arm with two fingers, catching sight of how swollen her pinky was beginning to look. A nasty purple bruise was forming along the second knuckle and a small piece of metal was sticking out from the same spot.
"I DONT KNOW HOW LONG I CAN HOLD THIS UP FOR, TAP MY ARM TWICE IF YOU CAN LIFT IT UP!" Kyoka called loudly, her arm buckled slightly when only one tap was felt. "OKAY TAP TWICE IF YOU ARE STUCK."
Two more taps were felt making Kyoka gulp nervously. She frankly had no clue how she had been holding up the rubble for the past five minutes given there was two entire floors above them each filled with various boxes and not to mention the air vents on the roof.
"HOPEFULLY HELP COMES SOON." Kyoka called, feeling a twinge of disgust as she felt the blood from her ears drip down her chin and onto Ochako's back, unable to see the shift in colouration with how her head was angled.

"I hope so too." Ochako muttered as she experimentally tried to tug her arm loose only to wince in pain, she wasn't getting her arm loose anytime soon.
[Outside of the ruins.]
Aizawa gritted his teeth in pain as he pulled another slab of rebar and concrete out of the way, his hands were red and blistered. Despite having told his students to stay put they too were helping him remove the rubble. Shoji had shifted extra ears and arms to locate the two groups of survivors. The closest one and most in danger of a collapse was Bakugo and Midoriya. Momo had made some Jaws of Life, albeit seated and covered in spikes and was cutting through the metal beams for others to remove, Mei was using her babies to determine which chunks of rubble were safe to remove and which would cause a collapse if they moved them. Charlie, Shinso, Reiko and Tsuyu were prepping a first aid area with Shoto filling bags of ice. Kendo was leading the remaining students to try and dig out Ochako and Kyoka while Iida was leading back Power loader and Cementos.
"What took you so damned long?!" Aizawa snapped at the two teachers.
"Dont want to talk about it." Cementos huffed.
"He got stuck in a vent trying to catch a renegade robot." Power loader stated bluntly as he surveyed the damages. "Yikes, going a bit overboard on training Aizawa?"
"It was that Bakugo brat. Rest assured his ass will be in general studies if I can't have him expelled." Aizawa growled as he glared at the rubble as if it personally insulted him.
"Alright stand back." Cementos called as he crackled his knuckles. It took a few moments but everyone got off the rubble so the hero could do his work. Like ferofluid the cement melted away, forming a massive cube behind the cinder block headed hero leaving behind the twisted metal and wooden floor boards. Bakugo and Midoriya were the easiest to get to given their proximity to the stairs when everything collapsed. Midoriya was out cold but breathing steadily while Bakugo was barely lucid and growling at everyone who got close until Mei ditched a chunk of broken wood at his head knocking him out.
"Hatsume!" Aizawa barked.
"Sorry." Mei replied unrepentant.
"...good job, no homework for the next two days." Aizawa smirked.
"Yes!" Mei grinned with a slight bounce and a fist pump.
"I'll get them." Charlie volunteered as she picked up Izuku, slinging him across her shoulder and holding him just bellow his knees. For bakugo she slung him over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes and walked towards the temporary first aid station that had been set up just as Recovery girl hobbled over with Toru who was now wearing a spandex suit made of a pale grey material with a scale like pattern on it.
Getting to Ochako and Kyoka was a fair bit harden given how they were buried in half the wooden crates from the level they were on and several from the floor above that. Soon with help from Sato, Kendo, Tokoyami and shoji they were able to remove the enough rubble to expose the two girls.
"Hot." Momo uttered with a slight nose bleed upon seeing their positions.
"Pervert." Shinso muttered as he cleaned up the cuts on Izuku so recovery girl's quirk didn't seal in any dust or other debris.
"Hurry, I don't know how much longer Kyoka can keep this up and my arm is trapped." Ochako warned the others.
"Hold on. I'll get it." Sato stated as he quickly downed a bag of sugar and bulked up. With a roar of exertion they grabbed the bulk of the wood atop Kyoka and flipped it off of her sending it crashing into the ground.
"Okay, hold on." Shoji muttered as his duplicarms wedged themselves into the rubble around Ochako's arm. "Move on 3. One. Two...THREE!"
Ochako quickly yanked her arms back as she rolled out from under Kyoka, wincing in pain as she put weight on her pinky.
"THANKS." Kyoka rasped loudly, her ears still blown, before collapsing face first onto the ground. Two massive wing shaped indents appearing either side of her, one kicking up dust on the debris she had been buried in, the other crushing the wood to her right.
"Holy shit." Kendo gaped.
"whoa, nice wings." Mei gaped with a thumbs up.
"Fucking hell." Aizawa groaned as he pinched his nose. Somehow, some way, this was the problem children's fault.
End.
Yes this was a short chapter but it will go back to longer chapters soon.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

Modded Skyr*m: Real Life Edition
It seems that I died while I was playing VR Skyr*m. The next thing I knew, I was standing in front of the middle-aged man who called himself The Overlord of Dremora and Dragons. He told me they were releasing Skyr*m: Real-Life Edition. However, you have to be dead first to play it, and I was chosen as a 'beta tester' of sorts. I found myself in a semi-realistic (thanks to mods) world, and I want to have fun and relax for the rest of my life, and maybe get back to Earth. There's just a small *RAWR* problem. Setting: This happens within the world in The Legend of the Fake Hero, specifically two arcs from now. About: I am writing this for fun as a side project. I intend this to be semi-interactive as I will have polls where readers can influence the book's direction. I have the final say because I believe that too many cooks in the kitchen are not a good thing. The plan is to write it in parts that are around 1-2k words. Typically around every 3 to 6 parts, they will be combined into a finalized chapter and re-edited for a smoother read. Release schedule: When I feel like it. I'll be more inclined to write if there is more interaction, both in comments and polls, towards the story. However, I will be focusing on The Legend of the Fake Hero because that is something I own entirely and enjoy. I will try to do consistent uploads. Disclaimer: This work falls under fair use as it is a partial parity, does not affect the value of the original work, is an original story within the setting (within my setting), and is not being sold. All IP belongs to their respective owners (including myself). Currently uploading on Scribble Hub and Royal Road under the same username.
