I stared at her lifeless form in my arms. I watched in disbelief as her body began to fade, her weight no longer being held by my strength. "Harmony!" I roared as she completely faded away until i held nothing but our wedding ring in my hand. I fell to my knees in agony it felt as if apart of me was dying. It was as if the only light that kept me from the darkness had now been blown out, leaving me with indescribable unimaginable darkness.Tears streamed down my cheeks, i could smell the metallic blood as they stained the ground crimson. Why her? why not me? why could i not have been killed. Why my Angel? "Why?Why?Why?" I yelled pounding the hard surface of the ground feeling the earth sink beneath me. My will to live crumbled as i stared at the ring in my hand. "Lance please, lets go before someone comes" Charity whispered his voice hoarse. He patted me on the back. I shook my head, My legs were rooted to the ground i wanted to stay here. I wanted to stay where the last time she stood, the last time we were together. "Please we need to go before the cops come. I promise i will avenge her just come on" I felt someone grabbed my arm hauling me from the spot. I walked blindly not wanting to see where i was going. Not wanting to see myself walking away from the place my Angel had once stood.
The silence was comforting as we sat in Charity's office at the back of his club. I stared at the bookshelf trying to focus on the red outer covering of the book. Jessica sat on Charity's desk, playing with the gold chain around his neck aimlessly. There was nothing happy about this soul shattering silence nothing at all. How would i manage to survive without Harmony. No, i wouldn't survive without Harmony there was no inconceivable way i would manage to make it two days knowing she died. Died. Dead.Gone. I was no longer going to feel the slight brush of her skin against mine. Never hear her soft snoring as she slept in my arms. Never noticing how cute she was whenever we argued and she would wrinkle her nose.

I burried my head in my hands trying to fight back the tears. I missed her touch already. My tears soaked through my hands, i could hear each tear hit the carpet. My phone viberated in my pocket. It was my father. What the hell could he want at a time like this.Better yet what possesed him to think to call me. "Hello" I growled. "Time to come home son" he said gruffly. "This time you will not be galavanting around the earth like you did in your adolencense." "Yes, i'll be home soon" I whispered. "Good, see you when you get back." I heard the phone click. I stood going for the door. Charity stood in front of me. "Move!" I growled. "You can't just go back and start excuting people. Especially the king and queen" "Why the fuck not?" I growled putting emphasis on each word.
"It would send everyone into chaos" He said his voice seething with rage. He pushed me so fast i barely saw it coming. I was back on the couch he leaned over me, his eyes glowing crimson. I felt something within me wither as i looked upon the anger of a king. "I will take back the kingdom and you will help me. This fight is a hell of a lot far from being over" I nodded baring my fangs at him. "I want revenge now, it cannot wait!" "It will, i am her brother you are her mate. Both of us will avenge her and fulfill her wish of avenging my parents. Your blood is tainted with theirs so you must know how i feel about letting you kill recklessly. Together we will take them down. Alone we are powerless.Together we will crush them"

The Devil's own sins
Writer updates available for free on patreon. The following account, dear reader, is a recollection and retelling of the story of the first imp. The last devil born from the original primordial pit at the dawn of time, and the lowliest speck of that first generation. It recounts the tale of Thozronnath the pitiful and his steady rise from obscurity, perpetually stuck as a punching bag for his betters until the day hell itself spat him out. The information presented here is pieced together from eye-witness reports and second hand hearsay, sometimes from creatures with more than two hands. I can not tell you with any degree of accuracy how much of it is true as it begins long before our time and it's true ending lies far unto the future still. I can tell you one thing though, it was confusing as hell. Cover: Illustration for John Milton's Paradise Lost by Gustave Doré (1866), a thankfully public domain image. Currently on hiatus.
