『Maybe you know me in the future and you're just remembering it backwards』
"-Chan. But I don't know why you call him that. Also father hates when you call out to them he says something about fusion and stubborn people." Eri chats away as Izuku re-focuses into the café. He looks around for any sign of danger still slightly disoriented.
"Pardon Eri?" He says sweetly placing a hand on the girls head just to make sure she was safe and real. "Why do you ask for Kacchan?" She ask. "Isn't he bad? Why would you say his name and be crying, also why is father so mad everytime?"
Izuku stumbled across his brain for an answer. "A Kacchan?" Izuku breaths out. "The boy, he's a boy." Izuku says looking down at the girl. "He was... father is mad at this Kacchan? Did he hurt us?" Izuku asks as if the girl would know.
Eri shrugs looking out the window. "I think he hurt you." She says. "Did he?"
The boy looks down in to red eyes. "I- I'm not sure. Maybe this boy, Kacchan... maybe we were friends?"
Eris face lights up. "Oh really?"
She smiles. Izuku nods. "I'll tell you a secret, I get shown people in my dreams maybe one of them is this Kacchan boy."
Eri nods eating her cake. "Buff yoph also calph himmm bakugoph" she says with a mouth full. "Eri!" Izuku scolds. "No talking with your mouth full! Eat your cake then you can talk." "Sorry brother." She apologise whipping her mouth.
Izuku smiles kindly eating his own pastry and looking into the sea of people outside. "Izu-nii?" Eri questions quietly. "Do you remember what he looked like?" Izuku pauses thinking back to the people he always sees. "Maybe I do, would you like me to tell you about the people I see?" He questions. Maybe if he says it out loud his brain will see how absurd it is. And stop the fantasy.
Eri bounces up and down in her seat looking to him to continue. Izuku giggles at the girl bopping her nose. "Okay then. Well one of them had blond hair and it was spiky like woof woof!" He says making his hands go in all directions. "He had beautiful red eyes just like you!" Izuku carries on placing his finger on the girls nose with a smile. "They're gorgeous. The only thing I ever see close up and in focus. Beautiful crimson ruby eyes. He's also tall. Maybe a head more than me!"
The girl giggles. "Your just short izu-nii everyone is taller than you!" The boy pouts taking a sip of water. "That's mean!" He says jokingly. "I'm taller than you!"

Eri puffs up her chest. "Father said I'm going to grow taller than you because you got brothers gen- gean- greenerics?" She stumbles. Izuku snorts. "Genetics." He corrected. "But brother is tomura? He's so tall!" Eri shakes her head, "No no like uncle, the brother of father!"
This caused the boy to pause. His uncle? He hasn't ever heard anything about him. Father doesn't speak of a brother. Not to Izuku at least. "Oh I see." Izuku says back. "Who else do you see?" Eri asks. "Well I see a short boy, the same as me, he has fluffy hair that's green, I never see his face but he's wearing his school clothes." "He has no face?" Eri says as if it's the most amazing thing. "No sweets he has a face I've just never seen it so I can't explain it." Eri nods her head sipping her drink. "Are there more?"
Izuku thinks back to his mother. It's best not to mention her to Eri. If father found out he'd be in trouble. Izuku decided to change topic. It was getting late and they still had things to do. Both of them had finished their food so Izuku stands putting on his coat. "Ready to shop?" He questions.
The two walk hand in hand out off the café thanking the girl on the register one last time. "Okay!" Izuku cheers as the enter the shop. He lets go of eri's hand to grab a basket and heads towards the first row of items. "Okay now Eri say close, I don't want to lose you in here." He says looking down to his side.
Eri was not at his side.
Izuku face drains of all colour. Where was Eri? Is she lost? How did she loose him, He was just with her how could he have lost her! Oh god. He has to find her. "Eri?" Izuku calls out looking from side to side for the girl.
Eri however had spotted two heroes from the tv and had rushed over to say hello. She recognised them as the hero course at a big school.
"Mr hero sir?" She asked tugging on one of the boys costume. "A brat?" He questioned once he saw her. "I'm Eri!" She exclaimed eyes lighting up. "I saw you on the big box this morning!" She continues. "You'rein that big school so that means you're amazing!" The boy huffs. "Of course I am." Eri squeals jumping up and down. "Me and brother are big fans right brother?" She say turning around to find no Izuku. "Izu-nii?" She questioned again. After no response Eri started to panic. "Mr hero I lost my brother!" She said on the verge of tears.

The hero who seemed slightly concerned and a bit uncomfortable bent down. "Don't panic brat I'll find your brother. You're Eri right? Where did you see him last?" He asked as kindly as he could. Eri was still panicking looking around for the mop of white hair. "Hay Eri?" The hero questions again. He sighs picking the girl up onto his hip and looking at her. "Hay it's okay." He says soothingly. His scratchy voice sounds surprisingly soft to the girl.
"I'm a provisional hero, names dynamite okay? Who's your brother?" Eri looks around. "It's izu-nii! I have to find him he's not supposed to be alone! Father asked me to look after him!" The hero nods. "So he's younger than you?" Eri shakes her head. "No he's just short." She says looking to the hero. "Oh Mr. Hero!" She exclaimed. "What you see him?!" The hero says turning around. "No no. Mr hero you have red eyes like me!" She beamed. The hero snickers scruffing up the girls hair. "Oh man you brat. You're right I do. The best colour eyes!" He cheered. "And your hair is blond! A-and your tall!" She says speaking faster and faster. "Whoa slow down there!" The hero says.
"ERI?" Izuku yells dashing into the next row. The young girl squirms out of the heroes hold and jumps down. "Brother brother look!!" She exclaimed running up to him. Izuku scoops the girl up hugging her close. "Oh Eri never do that again I was so worried I'd never find you! Why did you run away? You were just there then poof gone!" He questions just as quick. The hero stands awkwardly at the end of the row not knowing what to do except watch the family reunion.
"I had to brother!" The gray haired girl shouts. She jumps down dragging the older boys hand towards the hero. "Look brother look it's what the box said! But then I looked at him closer!" Eri cheers so excited. "And and I found Kacchan!" She shouts.
The whole shop seemed to quiet down after the outburst. The hero stands stunned, mouth open, eyes wide. Izuku even freezes in his spot but breaks out in an awkward laugh. "No no," he says gently bending to her level.
"Eri!" He whispers harshly. "You can't go and say that!" Eri looks confused as Izuku softens. "Not every boy you meet is Kacchan and i don't even know who Kacchan is!" He whisper yells. "But you said tall and blond and red eyes." Eri defends. The boy looks up before bowing. "I also said short with green hair." He hisses down at her.
"Mr dynamite I'm so sorry about that Eri was trying to help me but it was a mistake-"
"Deku?" A gruff voice questions.
"I- what? No what is up with people calling me that?" Izuku says locking eyes with the hero. Crimson ruby eyes. Blond hair that went wosh all over. His breathing hitches. Those are all....
"You do look just like..." Izuku says trailing off. "She brother I told you!" Eri says. "Ah- I'm sorry!" Izuku says blushing. "Eri say thank you for the hero's help. I'm sorry to waist your time! We'll be off now." Izuku rushes out grabbing Eri's hand again and darting for the door. "Thank you hero!" Eri calls out as she's whisked away.
"No wait- Hay! I said wait!" The hero yells running after the two.
Izuku spooks at the chase and runs faster down the street pulling up Eri into his arms. "Stop running!" He yells again. "Damn it deku! Please!"
Izuku holts his running almost causing the hero to slam into him. "W-what did you say?" The white boy asks. "I said please deku how many time do I have to say it?" He snaps. Eri snuggles closer to Izuku as the hero and him face off.
"Why do you call me a deku. That's not my name."
"Yeah yeah I know who you are deku." The blond says angrily. "My question is why'd you look like that! Where have you been? And why do you have a brat!?" He says raising his voice louder and louder each time. Izuku flinches back. "I dont know you. Im not a deku my name is shigaraki." The white haired boy replies shakily.
The blond hero snorts. "Are you sure about that deku?" Izuku steps back looking away. "Yes I'm sure I don't know who Kacchan is, or anyone I'm shown." He confessed. "I don't even know half of the people I see, I have no memories of ever meeting them, yet I'm forced to watch these memories!" Izuku shouts.
"Deku-" "NO!" Izuku shouts. "MY NAME IS SHIGARAKI!" Eri sniffs, causing Izuku to look down. "Sorry Eri." He comforted.
"Look, I can't remember anything except my dad my brother and Eri here." Izuku say frustrated at everything. This in turn is letting his emotions rise
Izuku? My precious boy are you okay?
Izuku stills a look of pure terror crosses his eyes. "Hay de-" Izuku rushes to cover his mouth.
"Father? I-is that you?" Izuku says shaking his head at the hero before letting his hand drop.
My darling eyed creation whatever is wrong? Do you need help I can help you all you need do is ask.
Izuku starts to shake holding Eri closer.
"I-" he freezes looking defeatedly at the hero. "I just want to go home."

Aeternalis
One born of nothingness. A world born of everything. To return all to nothing. Or surrender to everything. A man born into an infinite world, trying to find his path to the top. Trials and tribulations come from friends and foes alike until all bow before him. ------------------------------------- Author here! This is my 3rd story on RoyalRoad, the other two having long since been dropped years ago. They were a mess of ideas and had no real substanence to them, leading me to begin hating writing them and eventually just stop writing altogether for about a year and a half. Finally, after reading hundreds of thousands of pages of novels, from low fantasy to sci-fi litrpg's to thousands of pages long xianxias, I finally feel ready to write a real story that isn't a cesspool of ideas blended together. I plan to see this out to the end, as I already have the first few major arcs planned out unlike my other stories where I thought of ideas as I wrote. This story takes place in a world with a litrpg system, as per tags. This isn't a VRMMO or Reincarnation story. The main character exists in and is from said world. There are some differences from other litrpg's which will be explained in author notes in the few few chapters. I plan to publich 6-7 chapters a week, each 2-3k words long. If i fail to do so I will create a back-log I have to eventually make up but as of writing this it's the summer for me so I'll have plenty of time to write. Enjoy, and welcome to the world of Aeternalis.
