『scars are painful and will leave memories to torture us when we see them』
At the sound of a voice Izuku's head whips around at the man for the second time. "Oh so you were real." He mutters out. The cats spare the man a glance before going back to the tv.
Izuku tilts his head as the man raises an eyebrow. Confused as he may be the man doesn't comment about it. Instead he closes the door, takes off his shoes, sets his bag down next to them and walks to the chair across from the sofa.
Izuku watches as he moves, he's not scared since the man physically can't touch him or kill him for that matter but it's still enough to make him on edge. Something about this man seems off like a hero that works in the shadows.
His next moves are unpredictable, meaning the boy can't plan ahead. The man seems to pick up on this and settles with a neutral face. Whether that's to confuse Izuku more or put him at ease he'll never know.
After a second he man settles his sight on the boy who in turn is staring straight back at him. "Well isn't that a sight?" He says breaking the silence and slouching down into the chair.
"Georgie out of all the places you could sit you chose in someone?" Izuku, guessing the man is talking to the ginger cats who is now named Georgie, lets out a small giggle.
"At least they're not scared." Izuku responses. Waving his hand for the cat to paw at. The voice is almost exactly what the man is expecting yet he still tenses.
Izuku notes that the man is rather scruffy looking, with dark eyes that look up from the cat and focuses their attention directly on Izuku. He glances up and down taking his time to micro analyse him. It makes Izuku twitch and shuffle anxiously. He finds the whole situation very uncomfortable. The two cats leave hearing the unasked questions and not wanting to be involved. Izuku feels slightly betrayed.
This small act makes him feel more alone and scared of the man. He tries to calm himself but it still has him on guard.
"You have a lot of explaining kid. Since you were gone when I had to leave for work I didn't get your answer." Izuku looks down sheepishly. He fiddles with his fingers thinking back to the other night. He had half a mind brushing it off as a weird nightmare. That the man wasn't real and he was loosing all concept of reality.
Sensing he had already taken too long to answer he rushes out the first thing he could think of.
"Sorry I was on the roof." He curses himself for his bad wording. The man looks at him again slight concern flashes in his eyes. Izuku sees this and tries to back track. "I was just thinking!" He stumbles out. He peeks at the man only to find his eyebrows raise higher. Gosh he's making a bad first impression. No he already did that, now he's just digging a bigger hole.
"Not about anything like that! I just... I have a lot to think about okay? Especially when i thought it couldn't get worse. Yet here I am. And here it is getting worse. I must be some bad luck magnet." Izuku pouts looking back down. His fingers twiddle in the quiet. This could't end soon enough. He's exhausted and not in the mood for yet another break down.

Izuku also has the problem of what excuse to use. Dose he tell him the truth? Or should he make something up? This man could be anyone with any amount of power. Can he risk the consequences of telling him.
The man hums in acknowledgment and replies back. "Well then, let's start with the basics. Name, age, quirk, why are you here? How did you even get in here? You said you used to live here, where do you live now? I'm sure someone is worried sick about you."
Izuku holds back a laugh at the mans question. He knows so little Izuku could say absolutely anything. The man who doesn't hear or react to him, in turn gets out a book and pen.
Izuku mentally cursed himself for coming down this morning. This is all really too much for him in one day. It hasn't even been a week since he died and he's already re evaluating all his life or dead choices.
Besides the man is asking some hard questions to answer. He won't like the truth, not that Izuku wants to tell him that. It's still way to fresh in his mind. No more tantrums. He has to come up with an excuse.
"Are you sure you want to know all that? I could just leave hassle free." Izuku says looking to the door. "I don't know we're I'd go, maybe Kacchan's house? Or wherever mum left too. I'd have to find her tho. That's probably going to be a hard job." The small boy continues to mumble his thoughts as the dark haired man just listens.
"Kid." He finally says stopping the nonsense coming from the young boy. "I want to help you. Which is strange because I don't like kids, I have enough to look after at work, but here I am. Trust me when I say I can help you, okay?" The ghost boy sits frozen. "You want to help me?" He asks unbelieving. The man simple nods.
"No!" Izuku shouts taking the man back. "This isn't right. No one has ever wanted to help me!" He says. "No one, not even the heroes..." He trails off.
"It doesn't matter what has happened it's all about what's happening now okay? I want to help. You are free to accept or decline." A long pause follows the mans words as Izuku processes them. His mind repeats them over and over untill he caves in.
"I- well fine.
My name is Iz- deku. Call me deku, I'm 14. Almost 15.
I thought I was quirkless but now I have an out of control quirk. And It's ruining my life.
You asked why I'm here too right? Well short answer is I don't know. It's familiar place and I used to live here when I was... but I just turned up yesterday night. And I was freaking out and in pain. Oh god so much pain." Izuku clutches his head at the thought.
"I had injuries and I was stuck and I don't have anywhere else to go. Can I even go somewhere else? Probably not-"
The man laughs cutting his rambling short again. "Kid you need to take a breath. Don't worry I won't kick you out. Just take you time."
Izuku snaps out of his rambling and looks confused at the man. "I can't- I don't think- breathing is the least of my worries." He states plainly, going into an international battle, should he tell the man the truth or not?

The man looks confused again but brushes it off. "Okay well I'm shota Aizawa. I'm a pro hero but I'm not into the flashy stuff. I work under ground. You've met my cats Georgie and scruffy," he gestured to the two cats. "You said injuries? I need to know how you got those so we can heal them and find who did this to you." Izuku shakes his head fast.
"No!" He shouts out again. He lowers his head in embarrassment. "Sorry, I mean no. Please I don't have the injuries anymore, and you wouldn't believe me if I told you who did this to me. It's nice you want to help and you're a hero but... you can't get involved. Heroes have only ruined my life."
Aizawa sighs looking sadly at the boy. "Okay well that wasn't what i was expecting but I need you to tell me as much as you can. Your quirk?" Aizawa asks leading the boy to answer.
Izuku shivers at the thought. How could he possibly explain a quirk that's not really a quirk. Could he call it ghost? Says it makes him practically a ghost but he can't turn it off?
"I was quirkless. It basically meant an early death, for me at least. With all the quirksists out there and the bullies. It basically was death, almost but then one day my... friend got attacked by a villain and no one was helping him. He looked really scared and I couldn't help so I tried to find someone who could. I- I found a guy, he said that he could help. It had a big price to pay tho." Izuku looks away feeling the heat returning to his legs.
It's small and he pushes it away without looking. If the boy had looked he'd have seen how his feet and lower legs where the sensation is, was turning darker.
"I-I made the deal. I just wanted to save Kacchan, the guy called off the villain and a hero looked like he had saved him but I knew it wasn't the hero. I wish it was then maybe I wouldn't be stuck. Once he was saved... I couldn't back out of the deal so I was taken." Izuku snakes his head. "kidnapped." He corrected.
Izukus words trail off as the heat grows crawling up his legs. More of his burns start to show but he still pushes it away trying to ignore it.
He lets out a hiss digging his nails into his palms. "It's okay deku, take your time." Shota says. The green boy lets out a shaky nod.
"The- the villains... t-thAAh!" Izuku suddenly drops down from the sofa his balance completely gone. "I-I caAAAh..." Izuku yells out as the heat became more of a familiar burning. All this is happening just because he's thinking about what happened? Why can he talk about it? Why does the burning feel so much more real! Each nerve feels like it's on fire again sending shoots of pain through his body.
"Kid?" Aizawa say standing from his chair. "N-No!" Izuku weakly shouts.
"I-I'm fine. It's just- ah!" Izuku starts to flicker slightly. But each time he became more and more realistic. New features of the boy stand out more. Empty gray/green eyes, dark freckles that contrast white pale skin. His whole body shakes as he's forced down onto his knees. He feels Aizawa reaching out for him. No he can't touch him! "DONT TOUCH ME!" Izuku screams out as his torso is taken into the flame feeling.
Aizawa tenses. "W-What? kid!" Izuku shakes his head. "Please kid! Deku what's happening?"
The pain thrashes over his body as he falls flat on the floor. The...the floor? He's touching the floor? "That hero..." he says gritting his teeth. "My friend..." he keeps trying but the pain is becoming unbearable.
He screams out. The hero brings his phone to his ear talking to someone in a rushed tone. Izuku can't hear it. He can't hear anything except the screams of his friends, heroes and that man. His laughter as he watches a body burn. It's getting louder. "SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" He calls out. Hoping to stop what he can hear.
Above the two the lights flicker. And a dark aura surrounded the boy. "He took everything from me! Even while I was begging and screaming. That man- He is no hero!" Izuku shouts. His body burns and he feels his skin blister. He shakes violently on the floor turning onto his back.
Aizawa races over to help no longer being able to watch. "Kid? Deku can you hear me? What the hell is going on? I'm going to touch you." He shouts out. The boy gives no response shaking more on the floor. "Ah jeez come on kid pull through." He says trying to turn the boy on his side. "Shit! Why are you so hot? This can't be normal!"
Aizawa pulls his hands away after securing the boy on his side. He looks to his now red hands that sting from the heat. He wouldn't admit it but even he is slightly scared of what's happening. A 14 year old boy is laying on his floor burning up and having seizures. He's not sure what this boy is capable of or what has happened to make him this way But he know this won't be good.
"No touch. Going to-" the boys shuts up, clenching his teeth harder as his eyes screw shut. "It's okay-" Aizawa sentence is cut short but the boy gagging harshly before throwing up. He coughs a few times letting the remaining blood trickle out his mouth. "Why am I?" Izuku questions reaching a hand to his mouth. "Deku that's blood." Aizawa says. "You said you were injured, I need the details kid."
"He's doing something to me." Izuku whispers. "I shouldn't be-" He throws up again, blood pools out of him mouth onto the floor. "Ha, and I thought I was I couldn't-" Izuku slumps, after the outburst Izuku finds himself more exhausted than ever and lets his heavy eyes shut.
"Hay no! Keep looking at me kid. Gah it's just solid blood? This really isn't good." The older man places a pillow beneath izukus mop of milky white hair and lightly wipes his head. Izuku tries to look up but even with the flicking and dimly lit lights it's still to bright.
The only thing he can think to respond with is a smile and a croaky. "Don't worry hero... I can't die-"
His body slows down the shaking and the burning slowly turns to a much more worrisome cold . "What is going on with you kid?" Aizawa says quietly to himself.

Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me. The world went to hell in a handbasket. Overnight, something called the Allworld downloaded itself into the universe and everything but the kitchen sink appeared to end the planet. Governments fell and chaos reigned. People were left to fend for themselves. Of course, that's not, like, a bad thing. Pollution is at an all time low which means no more global warming. And all that corrupt bureaucracy is gone now too. Which means all those evil people refusing to do something about our dying planet are gone. Plus, people got superpowers. Which is, you know, pretty sweet. Of course, they can't be normal superpowers, everything but the kitchen sink was thrown in after all. Caleb is immutable, unable to physically change in a world completely changed; Alex was granted a system that talks to her in cat puns, but also gives her power over all cats; Nathan met a god of impulse, who gave him powers because he felt like it; and June is given a power to make things lazy, something opposite to her personality. The four of them meet by chance while hunting monsters. They met by chance but must learn to work together when an empire from space lands on Earth with the intent to subjugate the surviving humans.
