《A King Can't Rule Alone》Chapter 5: Falling

I stood staring at the sea Prince, his body, which was built as a slim warrior of the ocean. His eyes, which were so expressive, and told me all his lies, even when he denied them with his mouth. Percy's lips were bow shaped, and could go from cruel to amused in a split second. His loyatly that was faught for because he was the tsunami that would switch the tides in the war, I thought of everything that made him, him. He was a rose, beauty on the outside yet he was hard as armour when he wanted to be. Weird description but that was what I thought of him, and I can be weird I am the KING after all.
"Perseus" I draw and roam closer to the immortal demigod, his body was in a fight with itself because he spent so much time with us, the Titans and yet he spent time with the gods, and his body wasn't balanced on what one it wanted to be.
"Kronos, you're back now, shame I thought you would've died" Perseus sneers and put the sword on the bed in a sheath, he probably had been studying it.
After all Mount Olympus (what was left of Olympus) was at war with Mount Othrys [Spelt that wrong right? I am tired and just finished the English exam and pfth hope I spelt that right] and Nyx. The loyal Olympian demigods were having a difficult time, and I was considering freeing a few gods to help my cause. Silly mortals were also fighting WW3 because the gods were spilt, some weren't captured and trying to help and Olympus. Monsters were also decked between gods, Nyx, and my side.
It was a fight for power, and I would triumph
"I can't die" I smirk coldly and watch as he stares at me.

Taking all the monster dust getting hard with the mortal and demigod blood drying, on my armour, but that doesn't stop me. I just walk to him, making Perseus walk backwards until he has no room. Once his back is against the wall, I lean down and capture his lips we kiss, until I hear his heart beating faster and my starts to waver.
"I -I don't love you Kronos" he gasps and tries to push me away.
"Of course not," I agree and walk away, turning back I watch the son of Poseidon's green eyes meet mine. "You're in denial."
"NO, I AM NOT! I HATE YOU! I DESPISE YOU!" he steps forward and punches me hard across the face.
That is all it takes for me to get angry, I had been, but it had been subdued.
Anger consumes me, and I lift the boy off his feet and march down into the cell, past my treacherous children hearing their gasps and keep going.
"Let go!"
Long hours later I come out my crazy daze and see the son of Poseidon at my feet, and I frown.
"What have I done?" I ask myself and hear the loud protests of the gods, Poseidon the loudest of all.
"Ugh, what the Hades happened?" I moan and try to stand, emphasis on the stand. My hands give way, and I fall into the lap of a sea smell I know so well, dad.
"Percy are you alright, Apollo is trying to heal you." To confirm his words I see the sun god.
"S-stop!" I cry and shuffle away from the others, tears in my eyes, and I sob, he hurt me so wrong, and that is why I don't love him.
"I am sorry, I wasn't in a good mood," Kronos explains to me.

"Dosen't MEAN YOU CAN DO THAT TO ME!" I yell and watch as the gods watch me. "I HATE YOU KRONOS!"
"You don't, you need me, even as you yell it hurts your heart that I did what I did," I know he is right, even though he had tortured me I still felt it. The longing. I needed to be near him, yet I didn't want to.
"Perseus?" Mr. D asks, and I stare at them, tears falling from my eyes.
"Daddy... I-I I'm falling daddy, I can't, it hurts. Too much," I wipe my eyes and stare at my dad.
"I know son... I know." Dad scootches closer, and I let him put his arms around me, the other gods watching.
"You Perseus Jackson. You. Are. My. Son. Never forget that it was proposed [spelt that wrong does anyone know how to spell that?] that you would be by my father's side... he would be yours, and you would be his." Poseidon said softly and sighed. "You can fall Perseus, I understand. I thought I could change it the prophecy, but you can't change Fate."
I shudder and stare into dad's eyes and see the other Olympian watching.
"Let yourself fall, Percy, and you may be able to change Kronos," Aphrodite said, and I sigh. "It woould be so romantic!"
"Percy...." A familiar voice murmurs and I look up.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
