She thought her sleepy eyes had deceived her as she looked up at him. His blond locks laid against his forehead and his rough eyes stared down at her.
"Why are you here?" she asked, keeping her distance from the boy. "I just said I wanted to talk to you," he scoffed lightly. "Then speak," she straightened out her back looking over at him. The only thing separating the two was the glass door.
"Can I come in?" he asked, opening the screen door slightly. "That really isn't necessary, your words can be said from outside," she felt her back straighten out as she looked up at him pulling the door back.
"Why are you being like this?" the boys tone quickly dropped and his eyes filled with a sense of hatred that quite frankly scared the girl. "I just realized, this has never worked out me and you, and I don't think it ever will."
Her heart picked up in beats as she looked up at him, his eyes glimmered in anger as he looked down at her, his hands closing in on the callouses that aligned his palm. She looked down to see her hands shaking slightly.
"This time it's different, I love you, and I don't wanna loose you," he choked, a tear falling from his eye. She felt her chest sink as she watched it fall down his face.
"Me and you, we just don't work," she looked down at the ground and watched as his fist grew tighter. Looking back up his neck vein strained slightly and his eyes filled with anger.
In a quick flash he punched the screen door, the glass shattered around her, she felt the small fragments fall into her skin as the glass piled onto her head.
She looked up at him, in shock before her gaze fell back to the glass that surrounded her. "Celaine i'm so.."
She looked back up at him, fury in her eyes as her fist clenched, the small glass shards seeped into her skin, "leave," was all she said, her screen door was shattered, all she did was stare down at the mess.
Her eyes filled with tears, and she saw the blood trickling down her hands, and some small dots coming from her arm, she shook her head slightly and watched as the glass fell around her.
She felt herself grow anxious at the sight of her own blood, her heart racing, her breath hitching and loosing control of how fast she was breathing. Not realizing how much she was panicking she turned around, the glass still fell slightly from her hair.

She panicked as she ran to her room, constantly trying to catch her breath as she looked around for her phone.
Looking to her desk she saw it, grabbing it quickly and opening her phone going straight to her call list and waiting as the line continued to ring.
"Hello?"
"George, help," she could barely catch her breath as she looked around her room. She looked down at her phone as he facetimed her. "George, I cant breathe," she muttered.
"What happened?" the boy looked down at his phone as she showed her arm that had blood trickling down it slowly. "Kaleb, he.. he broke my door," she looked down at the glass in her arm, shaking her head again as the glass fell around her.
"What the fuck do you mean he broke your door?" she shook her head again. "He.. he showed up and I told him we don't work. He got angry and my screen door is shattered and the glass it fell all around me."
George's camera went on pause as she looked around her room in a state of panic.
"Celaine, breath please, stop panicking just breathe. Go to the bathroom, get the glass out of your arm, someone's coming to you now."
The words hardly registered in her head as she walked over to her bathroom. "George what am i supposed to do?" she showed her arm under her bathroom lights.
"Can you see the glass?" he asked, moving his phone closer to his face. "The pieces are really small but they are definitely in there," she tried to pick them out and failed as her hands were too shaky.
"I cant do it, i cant," her tears began to fall as she looked down at her arm. "They will be there in just a few minutes, breath in and out Celaine. Small breathes, and when you get used to it take larger breathes."
She followed the instructions taking short breathes, slowly but surely getting used to it. "Celaine!" someone shouted, her head shot up and she looked at George who only looked up at her.
"She's in the bathroom!" George shouted, the girl lowered her volume. "What if it's a fucking serial killer?" she asked looking down at George and then back at her arm.
"Celaine, he's there."
She tilted her head down at him. "Just go," he hung up and Celaine stood up on her feet. "Who's there?" she asked, walking out her bathroom holding her arm.

"It's Fundy," her eyes only widened as she saw him standing around the pile of glass that followed into her living room. "I'm so sorry for disrupting you, I didn't even know George was texting you," he looked down at her arm and back up at her brown eyes.
"Celaine, let me see you arm," he guided her back into the room she was sat in. "Okay get on the counter," the boy instructed grabbing the tweezer that sat on the side of the counter.
"Okay this might hurt but just breath slowly," he looked up at her and back down at her arm after she silently nodded. "Okay go," she muttered and as instructed he began to remove the small glass shards.
Celaine flinched slightly as each shard was taken out, Fundy took breaks in between each one to give the girl a second.
His gentle manner calmed the girl down as she looked at the brunette and white strips in her hair and without even realizing she felt her hand begin to play with it. The soft hair flowing evenly through her fingers.
Fundy looked up at her slightly, after snapping out of it she looked down at him. "I'm sorry," she quickly pulled her hand back. He smiled up at her, "It's fine, I liked it," he chuckled looking back to her arm and continuing to take the glass out.
Her hand found their way back to her hair, twirling the smallest pieces around her fingers completely forgetting what was happening.
"Done," he stood up straight, his head now peaked over hers but his head slightly tilted down at her, she looked to see her arm still exposed but gauze and bandage sat on the counter.
She felt her arms snake around his waist and pulling him into a hug. "Thank you so much Fundy," he rested his head slightly on hers pulling her in tighter. "Don't even worry about it."
He passed her a towel and looked over to the shower. "Take one, get any glass left in your hair out, then I'll wrap your arm," she felt a smile grow on her face.
"Aye aye captain," she saluted him as he left the bathroom.

"Fundy I'm done!" she shouted leaving the bathroom fully dressed, she looked to her front door to see him sweeping up the traces of glass that were in the house.
"Oh I could've did that," she rushed over to him grabbing the broom, his grip still on the dustpan. "Okay you sweep and I will collect," a sly chuckle followed his words causing Celaine to smile.
"I guess that will work," she placed the broom on the floor and felt as it got snatched out of her hand, looking up quickly she saw as Fundy began sweeping once again.
"Go wait in the bathroom," he ordered, and for some reason she felt her feet carry her to the bathroom. She sat on the counter swinging her feet like a child waiting for a lollipop at the doctors office.
"Happy to see me," he laughed walking into the bathroom, he placed both of his hands on the counter looking down at her leaving little to no space in between them.
She felt her breath hitch as she looked up at him. "Yeah I guess so," she laughed. He broke the space and heard a loud breath escape from Celaines lips.
Grabbing the gauze he covered her arm in it, and slowly wrapping it in the bandage after. His fingers traced up her skin causing a small awakening of the butterflies in her stomach.
"Thank you Fundy, seriously," she looked down as his hands gently wrapped her arm.
"I already told you, it's fine," he grabbed her waist and helped her off of the counter. "Now you head to bed, I got this," he insisted.
"Are you staying the night?" she asked looking up at him, the two now standing in the door way. "Do you want me to?" he asked. "I would prefer it, the couch is a pullout, and I have extra blankets in my room."
He smiled at her. "Will do ma'am," they both stood in the door frame, his hands still around her waist as he pulled her into another hug before they parted ways.
