Celaines mom was working late nights at her job but this wasn't at all surprising to the girl as her mother was the secretary and needed to keep everyone in check. Celaine stayed up till oblivious hours of the night waiting for her mom to return home. But thankfully due to time zones it was still early for her friends, excluding George who was only an hour behind.

Every night they would stay up for hours playing on random servers just keeping each other company, but on this late October night the aroma around the girl was off and she could feel it.

"Guy's it's like 3am, and my mom's not home yet," the Dutch girl's voice squeaked. "She seems dedicated to her job," the less bitchy pandas retorted. "Still it's really late," she shrugged. "I think you're just overthinking," Dream responded, he was always better at the reassuring side of things.

"Just worried, she told me she hasn't been feeling well. I hope she's not overworking herself," she replied, oblivious to her mothers undergoing sickness she had developed.

"If she's not home before you wanna turn in, give her job a call," George suggested, his voice had the same nervous tone as Celaines. "Good idea," she replied, going back to focus on the game they were playing, and almost as if it were fate she heard her landline ringing. "Hold on that might be my mom," she muted herself and ran over to the phone.

"Hello?" she raised the phone to her ear. "I have to come get you," her grandmother's rich dutch accent was now filled with a sense of panic. "Oma, are you okay?" she grew deeply nervous. "Yes darling, I will be there in a few," her Oma choked slightly on her words. "Okay?," the other side of the line quickly ended the call and Celaine stood there confused as ever before walking back to her PC.

"Ceeyoulater is signing off," she announced as she put her mic on. "Your moms home?" pandas asked, "no my Oma is coming to pick me up, surprise sleepover I guess," she looked for any positive notes in this situation.

"Are you alright?" Dream asked, "why wouldn't I be?" the girl quizzed, logging out of minecraft and getting ready to tab out of the call. "Dunno, have a good night," he responded, she heard a slight hesitancy in his voice. "See you later, have a good day," she tabbed out laughing at her own play on words.

She slipped on her shoes and waited for her Oma to arrive, five minutes passing and she heard a honk outside, she quickly ran out waving to her Oma who looked devastated. "Are you okay?" she asked the woman watching as a tear strayed from her face. "Je moeder is overleden," (your mother passed away) the woman began crying, couldn't even bring herself to look over at Celaine.

The girl just stood shocked, unknowing of what to do with herself. "Oh," was all she could say.

Celaine turned profusely as she shook herself awake. She quickly sat up throwing her blanket off of her and cradling her knees to her chest, laying her head on her knees. She couldn't explain why but she felt the tears flood down from her face.

Her phone buzzed, and buzzed and just continuously did. But seeing the state she was in she didn't bother to look up, but she didn't want to be trapped behind her eyelids as it always led to nightmares.

Not ones that were made up but ones reciting memories she never wanted to speak about. She rubbed her eyes quickly and glanced over at a digital clock she had prompted on her desk, the time read 3:35 am. She sighed knewing she had a long night ahead of her.

Finally wiping the last tear from her eye she looked down at her phone and to her surprise her discord was being absolutely blown up.

Without even letting the girl respond she heard him calling her on discord, she walked over to her PC and slouched back into her chair and accepted the call.

"To answer your question, no you didn't wake me," she yawned. "Were you sleeping?" he asked, she simply watched as he adjusted his camera, taking in the minor details about him like his white strips of hair, that were placed at random due to his skin condition that she hadn't learned much about.

"Yeah, but I had a bad dream, you texted me at a pretty convenient time seeing as I woke up about fifteen minutes ago," she turned her LED lights to blue, and turned on her camera. "Oh, are you alright?" the boy now had his full gaze on his monitor.

The girl propped her leg on the seat and rested her head on her knee, the few hairs that escaped her bun framed her face quite well, she took a photo of herself quickly to post on her twitter.

"You there?" her eyes quickly shot uo at her computer. "I just completely spaced out," she laughed it off and then the boy asked once again, "are you alright?"

"Just a nightmare," she shrugged, looking at her phone and uploading the tweet, "well it's not really a nightmare. The shit I see actually happened already, like it wasn't some made up scenario," she placed her phone faced down and reverted her attention back to the Dutch boy who's eyes widened a little at her explanation.

"Oh...if you don't mind me asking, What's it about? You obviously don't have to tell me but i'm here to listen to you," his lips formed a smile as the girl seemed shocked at his sentence.

"It's just the events that lead to me finding out my mother passed," she looked away from the camera quickly in regards to not wanting to see his reaction to her words. "I'm so sorry," his accent thickened and his gaze was no longer on the computer but at his hands as he fumbled with his fingers. "No don't do that," she mumbled, "what did I do?" he quickly asked, his eyes now looking back to the monitor.

"The feeling sorry, I had to deal with the three dumbasses doing that for over a year I don't think I can handle you doing it as well," she laughed at her own words and watched as his face grew in a smirk.

He was undeniably cute.

She immediately shook her head clear and focused back on the serious conversation. "Okay then I won't feel bad, but again if it's not too personal how did she-"

"Bilateral pneumonia in both lungs. The only thing that really bothers me was that I was too young to realize that she was sick. I told Dream I was scared she was just over working herself when in reality she was slowly dying right and front of me and just kept it a secret," she confessed more than she thought she would to the dutch boy who just nodded and listened closely.

"You were young, obviously you wouldn't have realized it. We were all oblivious as kids, believe me. I wouldn't have known anything if I just had to figure it out myself, always had to be told straight forward," the tone of his voice was a lot softer, it could almost send her to sleep. "George was supposed to meet her, she loved them so much," a short sigh followed her words.

"Things happen, it may fucking suck but at least she isn't suffering anymore," he seemed as if he checked that sentence over a hundred times in his head before saying it aloud. "That's what my Oma tells me," she let a short giggle escape her lips as she gazed her monitor. "Thank you Fundy, you're actually really sweet."

"Nothing to thank me for Celaine, being nice is standard human decency. But is there anything I can do to cheer you up a bit?" her face lit up as an idea swarmed in her head. "Can you play the piano for me?"

"You watch my streams I assume," he smirked lightly at her, "possibly," she rolled her eyes playfully. "Okay I will on one condition," he turned his chair to his piano. "What may that be?" she asked, cocking a brow at him. "You go lay down, you look exhausted," he looked back to his monitor sharing a faint smile.

"How will I hear you?" she pointed to her headset, "I guess you'll just have to facetime me," he shrugged. "Smooth," she laughed before sending him her number, he quickly dialed it in and called the girl.

Ending the discord call, she turned her lights off, only the moon was left to faintly light up her room. She felt at ease again and she headed to her bed, propping her phone up so he could see her, she laid down. He smiled at her before playing a soft melody.

The smile of a child by Paul Reeves to be exact, she hummed along to the familiar melody as she felt her self drifting back to sleep, and just as she knew it she fell asleep.

He looked over at the phone when he noticed her angelic like humming stopped he saw the moon light up the room around her, and heard her soft breathes and timid snores and saw that her eyes were closed. He smiled softly at the camera.

She is quite adorable.
