"Owe, owe, owe, fu- (Y/n)!"
You yank a strand of his hair, "Calm down! I'm almost done..." You sit in your knees on the living room carpet, behind Lin, who's sitting criss-cross-apple-sauce. Light from your apartment window reflects off his shoulder-length brown hair as the brush glides gently over each strand.
In ten minutes, You've taken a comb, and parted his hair down the middle, then, took two rubber bands and put his hair into tight little pigtails on the top of his head. You hand him a mirror.
Lin looks back at you, pouting, his bottom lip sticking out slightly and his brows furrowed as he says, "I asked you do teach me how to do my hair, not turn me into... into... a garbage pail kid!" You laugh and say, "Awe, I think you look cute..." Lin's eyes light up, "You do?" You smile and lean down, kissing his forehead, "I always think you look cute."
Lin frowns, "What about handsome?" You roll your eyes and peck his lips, "Of course, Lin, you're always handsome." "Really?" Lin says, looking up at you honestly. "Of course!" You say, giving him a playful shove. Lin smiles at you, sadly. "What's wrong?" You say. Lin shrugs, "I don't know." He looks up, "I guess, I've never really seen myself as 'cute' much less 'handsome'."
You cock your head and smirk, "Yeah, right..." Lin smiles, "No! I'm serious like, I might act all cocky but..." He trails off. "What?" You say, putting your hand on his arm. He continues, "But like, Im really self conscious, actually." "What about?" You say, fiddling with his shirt sleeve. Lin shrugs, then says, his checks burning, "My nose. It's so huge. And my body, I guess."
"Agh!" You say, looking at Lin like he's crazy, "You have a cute nose!" Then, looking him up and down, "And a cute body." Lin bites his lip, "Really?" You put your hands on his waist, "Hell, yeah." You smile, leaning foreword, "I think, I just might..." Your face is nearly touching his, "Have to cancel my plans for the day..." Lin giggles, his eyes bright, "You can't! You have classes..." You shrug, "I know, I know... but, how can I say no to this...", you says sliding your hands up his shirt.

Lin smiles, then jumps back, "Oh hell no, you are not seducing me with song lyrics... THAT I WROTE." You shrug, standing up, "Oh well, it worked, didn't it?" Lin puts out his hand and you grab it, pulling him up. He looks at you, pouting once more and you smile, "Oh come off it, Lin.... Besides," You say, wrapping your arms around his neck, "Im exempt from attending lectures now, I've already taken my finals, and I don't need the credits..." You lean into him, but the look on his face changes your mind. Your arms drop to your waist for a moment as Lin sighs, looking to the floor.
"What's wrong?" You ask, reaching out and touching Lins arm. He shifts his weight uncomfortably, "You have all the credits you need..." You sigh, nodding, "Yeah, I can graduate soon. This year." You close your eyes, "Lin, we've been over this." Lin takes a step back, pulling away from your touch to put his hands to his head, "I know, I know, it's inevitable." He sighs, letting his arms drop to his sides, "I'll be here and you'll be gone..." You take a step toward Lin, "Hey, " you say, putting your arm on his, "You can't focas on that.... the inevitable, I mean. Besides," You say, wrapping your arms around his waist, "In here right now, you should... enjoy me while you can." Lin looks into your eyes and smiles, kissing you softly and quickly on the lips, "I've got a lot of work to do."
Lin walks into the bedroom for a moment, and comes back out with his laptop in hand. He sits urgently on the couch and opens the screen. After a moment he says, "Actually, do you think you could help me out with this?" You nod and sit next to him, "Sure, what do you need."

Lin puts the laptop on the coffee table to that you both can see it's screen. "So," he says, turning towards you, "I've written 41 songs as of yet. I have basic outlines for another 4, but I'm still struggling with the ending. It just doesn't work for me. The last ten songs go as followed: 'We Know'- Which is where Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Aaron Burr inform Alexander that they know he's cheating with Mariah; 'Hurricane'- Which is when Alex decided to write the Reynolds Pamphlet; 'The Reynolds Pamphlet'- Which is exactly what it sounds like; 'Congratulations'- Where Angelica roasts Alex for cheating on Eliza with someone that wasn't her; then 'Blow Us All Away' and 'Stay Alive Reprise', you know those two; then 'The Election of 1800' where Hamilton pisses Burr off; 'Your Obedient Servant'- When Burr challenges Alex to the duel; 'The World Was Wide Enough'- Which is the actual duel; and then I have a super sparse outline for the last song, I don't know how I really want to end it or who should sing it, but it's called, 'The Aftermath."
You nod your head, "Okay, well, what don't you like about it?" Lin shrugs, "I'm not sure, it just doesn't flow right." "So you want to add some songs?" You say. "Well," Says Lin, scratching at his facial stubble, "That's an option." You take a look at the computer, scrolling through the song list and then something comes to you, "Hey," you say, looking up at Lin, "Did Eliza just, leave? Why isn't she in the ending?" Lin shrugs, "I didn't see her as being too important. She'll probably be in the last song somewhere, but I don't think she needs her own song." You furrow your eyebrows, "What do you mean? Eliza was cheated on, she lost her son, and then she was widowed! How does that not warrant the her her own song?" "Well-" Lin starts but you cut him off, "We learn how every other character feels about Alexander's actions except Eliza, his wife."
Lin stares at the computer screen for nearly a minute before he looks up at you. All he can manage is, "Oh shit." You smile, lean forward, and kiss his lips gently, "You can do this, Love." Lin smiles back at you. You stand up, grab your coat and walk to the door, you know Lin needs some alone time to get this done. When your hand meets the door knob, you hear Lin call, "Wait, where are you going?" You turn the handle and open the door, looking back to say, "I think I'm going to take a walk, clear my head. It's quiet uptown."
"Oh." Says Lin, as you walk out the door. You bite your lip and pull your coat tighter around you as you walk. You weren't being entirely truthful with Lin, when you said you were going uptown. Instead, you make the quick walk to the library, in hopes of utilizing one of their public computers, so you can look for job and apartment listings.
