《I Owe You Some Champagne (Usnavi x Reader)》The Club

"Y/N, you look hot!", Graffiti Pete exclaims as you walk in.
"Thank you," you say a bit uncomfortably, heat rushing up to your cheeks.
"Would you like a drink?", Pete asks you.
"Um..." You look over and see Usnavi greeting Vanessa. "I think some champagne."
"Alright," Pete says, then goes over to the bar.
While you wait, you look around. You see Benny standing on the other side of the club, arms folded, watching Nina dance with someone else. Your eyes wander over to Usnavi, who's dancing with Vanessa.
A surge of jealousy hits you. Well, if that's how it's going to be tonight, then you weren't going to sit around staring wistfully at Usnavi.
Pete walks over to you. "Here," he says, holding out a glass. You grab it, drink it, then set it down on a table.
"Let's dance," you say, then lead him to the dance floor.
"Alright," Pete says happily, and you two begin dancing a salsa to the upbeat music.
Out of your peripheral vision, you see Usnavi look over at you, and his dark eyebrows tilt down slightly.
Ha. He was only upset because you're his friend, and you were dancing with his enemy.
A girl walks by and chucks Pete on the chin, and he lets go of you, then follows her like a moth drawn to a flame.
You sigh, then go over to Benny. "It's seems neither of us are having good luck tonight. Romance is muy dificil."
Benny nods, his expression hard.
You look at him, then at Nina. "Go get your chica."
He pauses for a moment, then looks determined. He marches over to where Nina is dancing and smoothly pulls her away from her partner.
Although the guy she was dancing with looks annoyed, she smiles. You were pretty sure that Nina liked Benny just as much as he liked her.

But now you were alone. All of your friends were out on the dance floor with a date, or not even there.
Now seems like a good time to go get that piragua.
You begin to walk towards the exit, when you feel a tap on your shoulder.
You turn around and see a guy you had never met.
"Wanna dance?", he asks.
You really didn't want to. "No hablo ingles," you say, trying to get out of it.
"Aye, it's okay, mami," he says, and leads you back towards the dance floor.
Reluctantly, you begin to dance with him. With Benny with Nina and Vanessa with Usnavi, the only one here you actually wanted to dance with, whoever this guy was seemed like a good distraction.
You look over and see Usnavi still dancing hard with Vanessa, and you scowl. "I'm going to get a drink," you tell him.
"I thought you didn't speak English," he says, and you ignore him as you walk away.
You get another glass of champagne, and down it quickly.
You decide that before you get carried away trying to drown your sorrows in alcohol (which is never a good idea), you should leave.
This time, when you tried to make your way through the crowd, you got swept up in the dancing, and end up with another guy you didn't know.
You struggle and push away from him, and just end up going guy to guy, until-
"Usnavi."
He smiles. "Y/N. Are you struggling a little?"
You sigh. "A little. Where's Vanessa?"
"Sadly, I don't know. Suddenly this giant group of people came in here and we both got pushed away."
"Oh."
Although you had just gone from person to person before, you and Usnavi were actually holding onto each other and weren't getting pulled away.

"How's your date going?", you ask teasingly, even though it broke you inside.
"Pretty good. We've barely talked though, and guys keep coming over and trying to dance with her."
"Aw, I'm sorry Usnavi."
He paused before asking, "So, what happened to Graffiti Pete? Wasn't he your date?"
"He left with another girl," you answer, a bit annoyed now that you were thinking of it again.
"I'm sorry, Y/N. Any guy would be muy estúpido to not want to be on a date with you."
You blush slightly, but he doesn't notice.
Usnavi glances down, then looks back at you with his amazing chocolate eyes. "Y/N, I was wondering-"
"Usnavi!"
Vanessa runs over, then looks between you and him. "Ohhh, what's going on here?"
You quickly let go of Usnavi. "The crowd pushed me over here. I'll go now."
You walk away, and feel Usnavi's eyes on you until you walk behind some people. You go over to the couch and sit down, a headache forming. Why was life so complicated?
You look around, until you see Vanessa dancing with another guy, and Usnavi dancing with a random girl, looking a little uncomfortable.
Suddenly, you feel determination run through you. You were going to dance with Usnavi. Vanessa didn't seem interested in dancing with him. This was your chance.
You started making your way through the crowd.
"Usnavi!", you say, hoping that he'll see you and come over to you, so that you didn't have to go all the way over to him.
He turns around, and brightens when he sees you. He politely leaves the lady he was dancing with, and starts walking over to you.
All of a sudden, everything goes black.
"BLACKOUT!", someone yells, and everyone suddenly starts moving around and trying to find their friends.
"Usnavi? Benny?", you ask. You hated the dark.
"Y/N?", you hear. It sounds like Usnavi.
You try and follow his voice, but end up getting lost. You had no idea where in the club you were.
Someone suddenly runs by you and hits your shoulder so hard that you fall forward, taking someone else down with you in the process.
You land on top of them. "Oh geez, sorry-" Is all you can say before the lights flicker on.
You look down and see that you had not only knocked down Usnavi, but landed on top of him. Why Usnavi? Out of everyone there?
You look around, and see all eyes on you.
Uh oh.

Home of Laplace
I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar mountain peak standing tall above me like seeing a skyscraper from the street. Soon the chilling burn of the snow that covered me began to invade my senses and I flung my torso upward, sitting up straight. I grabbed my head in confusion as my eyes surveyed the area around me: The corner of a mountain wall stood menacingly in front of me accompanied by thin, dangerous looking paths on either side. The likes of which only adrenaline-seeking psychopaths would use. I turned my head backwards and felt my heart drop as what looked like an infinitely long freefall met my gaze. I was sitting on the ledge of a snow-covered mountain. "CRKKKK" A heart-shaking croaking sounded from above me further up the mountain and I jolted backwards at the impossibly loud sound. 'Shit, wasn't there nothing behind me?' The sound of cracking stone accompanied the heart dropping sensation of descension. As I plunged down backwards, the last thing I saw was the deep-set brown eyes of that blue-skinned monstrosity further up the mountain. ----------------------------------------------------- Levi Laplace is a former genius biochemistry student that died a simple and laughable death on earth.
