A couple days in Jim noticed ever so slight changes in Gwen, she wouldn't touch a beer now when before they couldn't get her away from the bar the most worrying sign was the slight rash that appeared on the inside of her arms. "Okay Gwen what's up?" He asked as she was reading, "I thought you would have figured it out by now but top shelf in the black box thank Urhura for that idea," curious he stood on his tip toes and dragged the small box down. Inside was a small wansi saying, 'I am proof my mum couldn't resit Captain Kirk,' "No!" He gasped as it finally clicked, "Yes finally." Gwen had to laugh by this point he was so stupid to not put two and two together. "Jim you are hard work. But yes your gonna be a dad," "I have never been this ecstatic before," "Yeah Jim don't use words like ecstatic they just don't work with you." He laughed as she was right when would a laid back fun loving guy use fancy words like ecstatic.
Day by day Jim and Gwen watched and felt there child grow it was going to be so cute to see a little sassy Gwen or player Jim running around the Enterprise. Jim was on duty and Gwen was with Urhura when her water broke two weeks early, just out of the blew. By luck the ship started being attacked by Klingons so win win, Jim was kept in the dark for a reason. He was already worried about his crew, his wife and unborn child don't add the fact that his child was going to meet him. Just as fire halted by the Klingon bird of prey being destroyed Gwen gave birth to a healthy baby girl. "Great timing I'm gonna bring Jim down here," Bones chuckled as he passed the wrapped baby girl to Gwen. He brought the communicator to beside them as they pressed broadcast, "Will James T Kirk come to sick bay there's someone here who wants to meet you," on cue his daughter cried ever so slightly as a little hint.

Meanwhile. Jim was on the bridge taking deep breaths with all that just happened he deserved them. "Damage report Chevok?" "We have a hull breech currently being repaired in section 4 decks 9 through 12," his thoughts turned to Gwen and his unborn child. He was about to rocket out of there when he heard Bones on the intercom, "Will James T Kirk come to sick bay there's someone here who wants to meet you." He was in near tears as he heard his child was fine, the men on board were collecting last minute bets on gender and when he or she was actually born but were overall happy for there Captain and college.
Jim ran as fast as he could almost past sickbay for that one sight. "Gwen," "Hey Jim you haven't missed much I swear," "Do I have a daughter or son don't leave me hanging," Gwen laughed, "She has your eyes," "A daughter. I'm a dad we're parents can I hold her?" "Jim she's your daughter for heavens sake!" Gwen half yelled half laughed as Jim took her from Gwen. "Hey baby girl sorry I'm late to meet you. What should we call her? I personally always liked your middle name Rosenwyn," "How about just a stab in the dark Rosenwyn Chesten Doryty Congdon-Kirk?" "Let me work it out Chesten is Christine and Doryty is Dorothy?" "Yep," "Perfect. Hi Rosenwyn we can call her Rose or Rosie for short," "Yeah I'm still gonna call her Hav as it means summer." Rosenwyn smiled and grabbed a lock of Gwen's hair with joy, "I think she likes it. Don't say it Spock."

Tell my story? Now that's an idea. I am called many things: the Lord of Souls, the Shadow of Death, the Undying Dreamer... I sired the Awakened of old. I have turned beggars into kings and kings into legends. I have argued the nature of man with the fathers of philosophy and spoken of gratitude with the first Sage. Since the dawn of my existence, I have walked the path of power with regard for little else. During the Great Trial, humanity's greatest hour of need, I dragged them from the jaws of their self-inflicted ruin for the sake of my beloved. Even now, few know the truth of it all. I am not a saint or a god. I am a watcher, a judge, a tormentor, and a killer. I am the Father. *** This is a cultivation story about an inhuman entity on its journey of power and self-discovery. The Father's story starts in ancient history and ends in a distant future but the majority of will take place in a near-future post-apocalypse setting. That said, the Urban Fantasy and Post-Apocalypse tags will be hinted at but won't come into play until Advent 3.1: The Great Dream.
