《In The Shadows (Star Trek TOS/AOS)》Part 10

Only a day later and action hit the ship like a pack of goats. The Enterprise was responding to a treaty violation in there territory with a bug like creature that frankly they did not want to know the name of. An away team was sent down to rescue the stranded villagers in shuttles. Here is where thing he up. Shots are fired at the shuttle damaging one locking mechanisms so that meant the shuttle had to be locked from the outside. Before anyone could stop her Gweynneth leapt out and slammed the handle down leaving herself stranded outside. She accepted her fate and put up one hell of a fight till restrained by the creatures.
Gwen knew they couldn't understand English so she decided to try and tick them off a little. Long story short she got to her cell sore and aching in the pain of the beatings.
Meanwhile on the Enterprise the town officials were informed immediately upon there arrival that there troublesome treaty violating cult had captured a star fleet officer and they had to intervene. James walked in just as they were sending the message and asked to be filled in. Though he didn't show it his heart sank hearing the news that the woman he loved so dear was now a prisoner.
With Gwen. It didn't take them long to recognise her uniform as Star Fleet, with that new piece of information they decided to use her as a way to extract information about the mighty Federation. With every hour they used new gruelling methods of torture but Gweynneth stayed silent with the hope that they would find her in time. "There has got to be some way there always is," James almost yelled at a government official for the planet, "Jesus cap calm down a wee bit and we might just get somewhere," Scotty said putting a hand on his friends shoulder, "Oh so it's my fault now. What if we attack as a mass arrest thing that way your cult is gone for good and we get our Lieutenant back," "Captain you are a little worked up over this. I believe there is a personal relationship going on between Captain and Gweynneth Congdon-Williams," Spock said in his typical lifeless fashion, "I agree with Spock on this one your aren't telling us something," Bones added, "Fine Gwen isn't just my Lieutenant she's my fiancé and that is all the details I am giving you until she's safe where she belongs." Yeah someone was definitely a little touchy today.

"Please don't tell the admiral he'll pull me from the mission and then I will truly go crazy with worry. At least working it I won't be as snappy that you aren't doing your jobs," "Fine but after all this you owe us a drink at the very least now lets see if we can find your fiancé," Kirk smiled as the thought of Gwen being on her own left his mind and replaced with them finding her. Meeting with the government officials they didn't seem hopeful on finding her, they didn't even believe she was still alive with how brutal this cult can be. "We had maps of the orginisation from an inside man if she is still alive she would be in the cells building possibly there torture room, 1 to 10 whats her stamina on estimate," they looked around as Kirk thought, "I would say about an 8 or 9 she's been through a lot but this could be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Post War Rules
Life on Torus Terminal is usually fast paced, but simple. A frontier Terminal has little room for easy living, but the great, circular station does boast shopping and culinary experiences from many Imperial races and cultures. Any star is, by its nature, extremely far from its neighbors. But laser highways, and the great shimmering sails of the light-rider spaceships make the trip into only about ten years. Still, the denizens of Torus Terminal eagerly await the day when the Anti-Euclidean Engine their station is built around finally comes online. Once that is done, they will have unfettered access to the entire Empire. Instantaneous travel and trade across hundreds of stars. Torus Terminal does boast one other oddity: a creature which calls itself Human. As he says, the last of his kind for now. He has made quite the life for himself on Torus Terminal, especially in the darker corners of the station. The elites of Torus Terminal praise his name, for once he took up arms, crime began to fall. What they did not realize was that was because he had claimed the seedy underbelly of Torus Terminal for himself and his own goals. The elites praise him as a paragon of law. The criminals fear him as a ruthlessly clever crime boss. Those closest to him, know him as the General. This story was originally posted on the Humanity Fuck Yeah subreddit, where it evolved from a simple play on a historical figure in a science fiction setting into a full blown space opera. I kind of took it as an opportunity to explore a setting I've had rolling around in my head for years. I also decided that it would be nice to have it in a place where I could more easily come back and edit it later, so I'm reposting it here. Here's a link to the original posting if you're interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/e9cwpl/post_war_rules/ If my genre and tagging is subpar, let me know. I'm still new to Royal Road and I'm open to help. Feel free to comment and make suggestions, or discuss. I love comments, and so long as we keep things civil I also love criticism.

A Requiem For The End
Yuga wakes up on a cold, frigid land entirely covered in snow. Where was he? Who was he? Neither of these could he remember but he didn't have time to think of it, he could tell danger wasn't far. A quick death if he failed to avoid it. It was fast approaching and much as he tried to escape, it quickly caught up with him. Luckily he had survived, but was he just lucky or was there something more to him.....? A Requiem For The End is a fantasy story set in a world.......well, quite different from most stories you might have seen (I honestly don't know how to better describe it). Early into the story (prologue) the world feels elusive because you slowly learn about it through the eyes of Yuga. As you read on questions may arise in your mind and mysteries will present themselves. The answers to them will come the further you read. I'd like to think the plot is a bit larger than the average and same goes for the world building. If you find this story intriguing then all I can say is - There's a lot for me to tell, hop on?
