Chapter 9

Jonathan POV

Inhaling all the air that nature can give, I feel myself calm down. I just ran away from my mate, but in my defense she kept on talking to Jaylen and not me. Like I was not even there, I rushed all the way there to be ignored, like who would resist me? Even my own secretary can't help acting weird around me. Can't she feel the bond between us? Or am I just too much.

'If it wasn't for you igniting our anger even more, we would have managed to stay there longer and actually gotten to know our mate' I tell Sean

'You know I can't keep it together when we get ignored!' Sean barks back

'If we keep up at this rate we might never get to know her and in this generation women don't take shit from nobody..... we've talked about this' I say

'But what about submission?? Huh? Aren't we entitled to at least that???' He says still blazing hot with anger

'Submission is not just "yes sir" Sean, it has to be earned! We can't just barge into her life and expect her to miraculously just accept us!'

' But that's how it's always been, the female just accepts our kind, yeah some would reject their mate but hey you felt her body language she is not rejecting us anytime soon' he says clearly not seeing my point

'Anyways let's take it slow with her, let's do what's right and actually earn her like what real mates do' I say

'We are alpha Jonathan don't forget that!'

'Never have I ever forgotten that' I say, creating silence between us.

We sat on the mountain for what seemed to be hours, we just had to process everything and talk. I'm really parallel to Sean, but we have our areas where we actually understand each other. Given he's a part of me, in human form if he's angry I try to control my own feelings but he really overpowers my judgment. I tend to do the opposite of what I would normally do, we are one yes but sometimes it just isn't easy with him. He tends to come to the surface when I can't express my feelings right.

After coming down I decided to let him lead the way in wolf form, running in wolf form is amazing. It's sad Lucy isn't a wolf, she would definitely love the freedom one gets when running in wolf form.

Getting home I run into Jack fixing himself something to eat.

"Where have you been, I asked Jaylen about you but you know him, all he said was you were being an ass" he says clearly just eyeing his food and what he was doing.

"I went for a run" I say directing myself upstairs, I stop in my tracks "Lucy is my mate too btw" I say continuing my walk up

"What did you say?" He says, as I stop to look at him wondering why he's shocked.

"Lucy's my mate too" I say again getting a little irritated...

"How did you find that out" he says, now looking directly at me still shocked, like this is something new in our situation

"Jack I rushed up to her house and went to confirm it!" I say feeling myself cook up again

"You did what!"

"I RUSHED UP TO HER PLACE AND CONFIRMED THE SHIT!"

"Chill I'm just confused, why the hell did you just rush over there."

"Because, just like you did confirm your mate ship with her, I felt that I had to do the same"

"How did she react, what did you do ?"

"You know what Jack, let's talk about this tomorrow, cause right now I'm definitely not in the mood for this father speech, you tryna pull" I say, walking away, I can't deal with this right now, all I want to do now is sleep.

Yeah we were wrong to just hug like that but damn, I've been yearning for her for so long. For f** sake we are 26 years old, that's been so many years without a mate to call my own..

'look who's complaining now' Sean says cripping in from the back of my head

'Shut up ass face'

'I'm just saying it's our right to claim her'

'No it's not, we are earning her time like I said, end of discussion' I say, then block him out which I know he hates but before we meet Lucy again he or should I say we have to be on our best behavior. I can't fully blame him alone, cause I am him and he is me, meaning his bad behavior is slightly my fault.

Going upstairs i hear Jaylen talking which is not normal, dude is normally on his laptop typing something at least most of the time about his patients.

"Hahaha, that's not my fan base, and to be clear I don't have a fan club" he says

After some silence he responds again

" Nobody can bury you without my permission either way" with that I know it's Lucy, I don't know how he does it but Jaylen is just so much better with the ladies. He has always been the one with a mountain of girls around him and do you think he gave any of them a chance, ofc not.

With that I walk to my room, I need to take a shower, after running and acting like a jerk, I need to wash it off.

Laying on the bed, while typing on my computer, I hear a knock at the door.

"Hey bro" Jaylen says as he opens the door and stands at the door

"Hi"

"You good?"

"I'm good Jaylen, what's on your mind?" I say seeing no point in why he's asking this stuff

"I was just wondering why you run off?" He asks with a raised brow

"It's really none of your business to be honest" I say trying to be polite

"Okay then asshole, just came in to check and to offer you something good" he says with a smile

" I know she's our mate, not just my mate and at the end of the day she has to get used to all of us not just me or you or Jack."

He pauses for a bit processing his words

"That's why I've decided to give you a chance at her, I'm supposed to pick her up tomorrow on my way to work and I think you should pick her instead" he says looking directly in my eyes " And if you dare mess it up, best believe I'm not giving you such a chance at her again" the look he gives me is a look I've never seen him give anyone

"Thanks Jaylen, I really need this, cause we definitely haven't gotten to know each other" I say with so much thought.

" Tell me all you know about her"

"Isn't it best you ask her instead?" He says with a raised up brow

" I know but what if I say something wrong and she hates me even more?"

" that won't happen, she's our mate, the moon goddess knows what she was doing when she chose Lucy for us, so just chill"

"If you say so but to be on the safe said I want you and me to keep our mind link open tomorrow, so that if I mess up you can fix it"

"Fine we can have it open but please give Lucy a chance, and you will see that she is the best thing that ever happened to us"

"Fine" I say as he starts to walk away but stops in his tracks when I thank him once again " thanks again Bro" I say then he heads out to his bedroom

Im sorry for the late update, life has been happening. I lost my grandma not so long ago, so I've been a bit down and school has also been giving me its own troubles. Will definitely try and update more often. Please comment and vote ♥️
