Jaylens POV

On our way back to her place from the store, God I feel good, how I've longed to walk with my mate. Many girls have tried to get my attention and I actually noticed this, though I never gave it much thought nor did I encourage it cause all I needed was what belonged to me.

Her small frame beside me makes me see what I was truly longing for, finding your own person makes you feel like you just came out of a nightmare that lasted for centuries....

"Thanks a lot Jaylen, I'm happy you were willing to give me a ride home" she says with a bright but reserved smile

"It's my pleasure Lu, is it okay that I call you Lu" I ask anticipating why the hell I called her that

" I don't mind" she blushes, it's hard to see but body language gives it away.

Getting her stuff in the house, I decide to get going, I need to prepare for her coming over to the pack. Okay I'm not crazy, I will give her time to accept my offer but I can't be idol about her moving in. The apartment I'm thinking of needs to be fixed and now that I know what she likes after looking around. I kinda have an advantage in how I'm going to decorate it.

She walks with me from her door to my bike " Thanks for everything Jaylen, it's been amazing and you are amazing" she says, looking really grateful, though she doesn't need to be, she's my mate.

"No thank you for even sparing me your time" I says as I start to walk to my bike.

'You mean to tell me we are going all the way home without a hug, kiss or anything dirty ' Xavier says, making me stop on my tracks, I turn around looking at her, while she looks at me with curiosity in her eyes.

"Lucy , can I ask you for something ?" I says

"Yes Jaylen"

" Can I have a hug?" I ask, losing all the air in my lungs with anticipation of what she will answer me

She nods her head and I go straight for the kill. I lean in and hug her passionately with so much longing. She hugs me back of course, just not sure if it's just because of the bond or her own will to hug me back.

After a while we pull away from each other ... I head to my bike and start it up and give her a last glance before speeding off.

The ride back is amazing, the atmosphere feels fresher than it was this morning. For the first time in forever, I can notice the trees around, all I'm saying is everything seems clearer.

Jonathan POV

'She's everything really, did you see her smile' Xavier tells Jaylen, we have this crazy bond that if one forgets to cut us out of their conversation. We can hear the type of conversations they're having with their wolf.

I decide to confuse them 'who's everything?' I ask.

'Wtf Jonathan can't you stay in your lane' Jaylen says in my head practically shouting as he walks in with a raised up brow.

'Then why leave it on ?' I ask then I lift up my on brow as we have a mind argument.

'Mind you I found her, my mate' Jaylen says, the moment he finishes that sentence I feel a sharp pain hit my heart.

'Our mate idiot' Xavier points out seeming really irritated as the connection cuts, signaling that Jaylen has cut me and Sean off.

"Who is she Jaylen" he's startled out of his argument with Xavier

"A new nurse at the hospital, she just moved here" he says taking off his jacket and shoes

"What's her name if I may ask" I know Jack said something about his mate being a new girl in town, and if I'm not wrong her name was Auro something

"Lucy" I suddenly connect the two women to have the same name.

"Where does she live?" I ask in curiosity trying to connect the two, cause if the two of them have the same mate, this Lucy might just be my mate too.

"Near the university, why?" he says

I rush to get my keys because I might just be the odd one out. Rushing to the door and to my car, I hear Jaylen calling but I totally ignore him.

I speed off to the university, with Jaylen on my tale. 'Where are u going!? You can't just rush out on me like that' he says in my head

'She might be the one for me too' I tell him

I hear silence, 'but why do you think she's yours too?' He suddenly asks

'Jack said something about her being new in town and that she lives near the university but I didn't pay attention because I thought she was his alone. With your description I really believe she might be my mate too.' I say

'Ahh, let me lead the way then' he says, I gladly slow down to let him pass.

——— 15 mins later ————-

Reaching there, he points out the way, my heart beating at abnormal speed as I reach the door.

'Knock dammit' Sean says

I knock waiting for my possible bae to come to view. Opening the door I'm hit by a mocha scent and she comes to view.

I suddenly hug her without even thinking it through. She's startled but relaxing with my touch for a while, but pulls back in shock.

"Jaylen was here a while ago, I haven't seen Jack since yesterday and who are you" she asks looking as confused as a bat.

"He's my other brother Jonathan," Jaylen says shooting daggers at me.

"Oh okay, nice to meet you Jonathan " she says as she crosses her hands together waiting for a better explanation.

"It's tradition...." I say trying my hardest to look sincere.

"In our family" Jaylen adds, to make sure she doesn't start hugging everyone he says in my mind.

"Okay" she says with a forced smile.

Silence hits for a while, "Would you guys like to get in?" She suddenly asks

I immediately start moving in, but Jaylen stops me in my tracks... 'not today, we need to figure this out' he says in my mind

'Figure out what, she's ours, I don't need much more to figure out' I bark at him

'Look at her face, we are confusing her, it will be too much' he says, and looking at her I see what he means. She looks fine but her body language is giving a confused vibe.

"I just wanted to stop by and greet the newest member in our pa.... town" I tell her flashing my famous smile

"I told him about you and he felt that it would be nice to meet you in person" Jaylen says, trying to seal my statement

"Thanks Jaylen that was sweet of you" she says with a shy smile not looking at me at all. Not liking the vibes she's giving me I walk away.

"Anytime Lucy, see you at work tomorrow" he says, following me

Knowing he was on my tale, I rush to my car and speed off. I'm not normally this jealous but fu***. She doesn't even know me, nor did I get the time to talk to her.

Getting home, I get out of the car and rush out in wolf form to the mountains, I need to calm down. Knowing that blabbermouth, he will just be talking about her like I don't want get to know her on my own...

Jaylen POV

I don't get Jonathan really, why did he have to do that, he just rushed out, like a lion was on his tale. He's the nice one among us, but when he's confused or being Alpha he's definitely not the person you would want to meet. Because that hot head can boil.

I will just have to wait it out, 'Rudy and Steff' I call out to our most trustworthy warriors

'Yes Alpha' they all reply in obedience

'I found your Luna today and would like you guys to guard your Luna for the night' I say

'Yes Alpha'

'I will send you the directions, that will be all for now'
