"Why don't you take a dip with us in the lake y/n?" A shirtless Kili asked you. You looked at him mortified for a second and then hid it as best you could.
Why were you so embarrassed? If you took a dip in this "lake" all of the company would know that you were infect, female. You had gone into this journey dressed a male dwarf, beard and all, just to be accepted. Upon hearing that the company would be forming the new article had stated that only men would be allowed.
"Uhh...no thank you laddie, I'll just sit on the ridge," you said and walked away without another word. It was getting harder and harder to hide yourself.

You found yourself sitting around a campfire sometime later with the dwarves. Fili sat on your left and Bilbo on your right.
"So is there a woman in your life y/n?" Fili turned and asked you. You stared at him blankly. Well, it wasn't his fault he didn't know you were a girl.
"Uhh, at the moment no," you threw on you best make dwarf impression. You turned your attention back to the fire.
"Oh c'mon y/n! You would be a perfect ladies man!" You looked at him as he said the words. You didn't say anything just stared into his gorgeous eyes. If only he knew you loved him. Over the course of the adventure you had fallen for him. You knew it was a risky thing to do, but you still fell for him. You hid your feelings deep within.

FILI'S POV
Y/n looked at me as soon as I had said those words. His eyes locked on mine as we stared down. He was hiding something.....but what? For a second I saw his stare falter and his eyes shown something of sadness, passion, and lust all the same.
One thing, I also did not fail to notice was how from this angle, there was a slight feminine edge to his face. The orange glow of the fire highlighted his beard; I could just make out the soft face underneath. Y/n was most defiantly hiding something.

It seemed like you and Fili were paired together a lot more throughout your quest. He would continue to ask you questions about having a nice woman and pointing out all the things that men could do. You however, continued to give him short answers and none of them were too revealing. You never knew when one word was going to blow your cover.
As time wore on you also saved the dwarves countless times. There was even an instance where you saved them all from a wolf pack that had suddenly intruded on your camp. Of course you were doing this as a male. The company would never see you as anything other than male.
There were times and opportunities when the chance came up to reveal yourself. Every time though, you had shot the idea down drastically. How could saving a group of dwarf warriors be considered woman's work? How would the company take to a woman saving their butts every time they got in trouble? War, killing, fighting, and laying in the dirt was "supposedly" a man's job.

It was here, the battle had come. Orcs, goblins, men, elves, and dwarves all fighting for a piece of the treasure inside Erebor. You had been chosen by Fili to go with him to Ravenhill. Fili, Kili, Thorin, and Dwalin all went there together to try and slay the Pale Orc.

You had been fighting along side Fili. You had saved him when he was inches away from a sword and he saved you. There were moments when you thought he knew your secret.
You had been focused on a particularly stubborn goblin when you heard a groan behind you. You snapped your head back to see Fili clenching a large gash in his arm.
"Fili!" You shouted in your feminine voice. You were too worried for him to care at the moment. Fili registered the change in your voice as you ran to him.
Just as you had reached him you felt a sharp pain on your back. You looked behind you and saw that an orc had sliced your back. You still stood between him and Fili.
"Y/n, don't do this!" You heard the blonde dwarf behind you demand. You ignored him. The orc in front of you chuckled darkly.
"You fool! You dwarf men think acts of bravery will save you!" His odd red eyes pierced your soul.
You smirked," lucky for you, I am a woman!" You shouted and ripped your beard and fake long hair from your head. Your gorgeous h/c locks fell free from their bonds and as the Orc stared in shock you took that moment to cut off his head. You looked around and saw the number of orcs and goblins depleting.
"Y/n?" Asked the voice of the person you had to now, confront. You slowly turned to him. You stood there with dirt covering your face and blood on your back.
He chuckled, much to your surprise," I knew you were hiding something," he smiled. You knelt down next to him.
"Y-you knew?" You asked softly. He looked at you with such pride and adoration.
"Yes, I knew something was different. I also started to find it odd that I was attracted to what I thought was a male dwarf," he said to you. You gaped at him.
"Y-your attracted to me?" You gasped.
"I'm not afraid to say that I am...miss. To do what you have done was brave. I admire that. I don't know many dwarves who would haves the guts to dress as the opposite gender. Plus, you are truly beautiful," he blushed a bit and so did you. You couldn't believe it. He did have feelings for you.
You took his chin between your thumb and forefinger. You closed the distanced and placed a sweet kiss on his lips. After a moment he lifted a hand to your cheek and kissed you back. You pulled back to look at him. He was a bit dazed as he stared into your eyes.
"No matter what happens y/n, stay with me," he touched his forehead to yours. You closed your eyes at the feel of it.
"Always," you said breathlessly back to him.
You didn't know how long you sat there, but there were some fighting going on around you as time seemed to slow and the snow began to fall.

8 1091Reincarnated as a Troll in a Dark Fantasy World
A troll wakes up in the "forest of beginning" of a fantasy world with only faint memories of his past human life and unable to speak. The human realm will spare no expense to bring down this monstruous threat. While clinging to his humanity, the troll must use his cunning and modern knowledge to survive and evade the hunters. It is a dark age in a world of swords and magic, ruled by superstition and iron-clad rules. Tradition and conformity are the absolute cornerstones of society. There is no calendar, people count time by seasons, or days. Death, famine and vicious monsters are everywhere. People clutch in their communities, afraid of what is outside. Here and there, a Hero rises, his tale brief like a shooting star. Powerful monsters that drift too close to human's realm must be eradicated at any cost, or society might crumble. The Troll comitted this sin. This "isekai' LitRPG novel is an experiment in writing. We commit to the "Adventure" and "Fantasy" genres, but it might have comedy, romance, and both dark and light tones. Some events in this novel are drawn from random encounter generators and others are decided on a die roll just like a tabletop RPG. Things take a unpredictable tone! As of september, the updates will be every even-numbered day. Cover Credits: "Ett gammalt bergtroll" - John Bauer, 1904 (with modifications)

" So-called leaders prostituted their people to wars and abuse. They destroyed families, culture and economies; their hands dyed red by the blood of the children, the families trampled by their lecherous motivations and diabolical war machines. Trained and taught by the Revenants or rather “young bloods” from their war-torn world, we were going to build a better world for us and for the later generations, a world when there shall be no more wars waged over territory, a world where boys and girls can frolic around for all of eternity." -Sasha, Terutan regular army cadet. ‘History is determined by the victors, and here we stand transcended over those who abused us. History is filled with liars, broken promises of eternal prosperity and peace. The more things change, the more things stayed the same: ideology change, location shift but power will always find a place to rest its head. We fought and bled for the adults, the grown men and women who preached of us being their future, preached us of the freedom from tyranny and slavery; no wonder why we hated them so. History is determined by the victor, and there shall be no victors when we’re done.’- Yulia Bronskavya, Red Army Homeguard. As the first modern war came to a close in November 1st, 1918, rows of passed juveniles laid the battlefields. In the name of some royal fat cats or some shitty national leader, cruelty and crimes were committed against the weak and the vulnerable younglings; in other words, adults were assholes. Their deaths marked a new beginning, a new beginning in a strange and magical land that was and had only been dreamt of in stories and folk tale, they had arrived to Terruta. The first ones regarded themselves as Revenants, heroes who had been able to be reborn in this world and began their adventure to explore this strange foreign land. However, “every coin have two sides, like everyone have two faces”. 'As they left their former life behind, the young soldiers and operators found themselves being deceived, abused and taken advantaged off again by the elders of this world. Many were abused, tortured, raped and sold to slavery, Revenants were quite sought after due to their timeless charm, strength, intellect and immortality, they were unable to be killed no matter what; many were bought and used as pets, slaves and entertainers for their masters’ entertainment. Fed up with the similar treatment and abuse by the adults of this world, many revolted and founded ICC, International Cooperative Coalition.'-Sasaki Kotegawa, JSDF Private.
