《Fili x reader(ALL)》The Fall Fili x (angel) reader

You see the truth is: Angels have been on this world for a long time. Why didn't every one see them on Middle-Earth? They were hidden. They were hidden from prying eyes of those who sought their wisdom and utmost beauty. Where did they hide? In the clouds. Every once in a while a single white wing would peak from the lush white cloud albeit occurrences like that rarely happened.
You were not like most of your kin. You admired the world that lie beneath you. It was customary for angels to find the one they were destined to protect. You couldn't stop searching Middle-Earth with your eagle eyes. Just the though of your "one" being down their filled you with excitement.
"Y/n!" Said the familiar smooth voice.
"Y-yes father?" You turned and looked at him cautiously.
"Come away from there! You will find your person when it is time! We cannot take the risk of being seen!" He pulled back from the landscape below.
"But nannir! You know very well that only our wings are seen by mortals! If ever we should come in contact with our other, then we are fully seen! Besides, who takes the time to admire the sky anyway?" You looked down sadly. He knelt down and tilted your head up to look at him.
"Not very many my sweet. I only do what I must to look after you.
Ewhadathnine," he whispered and placed a kiss on your forehead before the turned and flew off. You sighed looking back down at the city below. Erebor.
***
You had been admiring the city of Erebor, as always when the doors opened and trumpets sounded.
"What's going on here?" You said intrigued. You continued to watch a Blonde dwarf walked out. He was accompanied by many royal guards and the townsfolk flocked to see him. You giggled. Even from up here he looked handsome.
It was when he looked up that you froze in place. Your wings had been stretched out far behind you and they were stalk still now. He saw you. His face was one of shocked and yours mimicked it. Suddenly the cloud below you began to thin and and began to panic.
"What? No, no, no!" You said trying to hold on, but to no avail. The cloud thinned complexly and you fell through.
You couldn't adjust your wings to the force of the air around you. You plummeted fast and came in hot when you neared the bottom. With all your might you leveled out somewhat, but still skidded to a stop in from of the dwarf. The last thing you saw was his face hovering over yours and then the world went black.
***
You awoke in a dimly lit room. Your eyes slowly batted open. Sleep still clogged your mind as you tried to make sense of your surroundings. You felt something like a bed sheet draped over you and a soft material under your back. You were laying on a bed.
"Who are you?" Are a masculine voice next to you. You jumped. Wide awake now, you looked at the speak. The blonde dwarf. You panted with fear. Your eyes must have said that you were scared because the dwarf took a step back from you.

"Do you have a name miss?" He asked again. Why didn't he acknowledge your wings? They had to be blatantly visible.
You nodded quietly.
"What's is then? I mean you no harm. I have prohibited anyone from coming inside those doors," he gestured to large stone doors to the side," you're safe here."
After contemplating his words you decided to speak," I am y/n," you said softly. He looked at you in awe at your voice. "Who are you? Where am I? How did I get here? "A thousand questions ran through your mind.
"I am Fili, Son of Dis. I am the Prince here; you are in Erebor. I had the doctors take you here.....," there was something he wasn't telling you. You could feel it.
"What?" You asked as you watched him eye you.
"Nothing! It's just....you have wings," he looked at them now. At least he had the decency to treat you like an equal before point out your obvious wings.
"Yes, all of my kind have them," you looked in his gorgeous blue eyes. There was something about him that reflected in you. What if he was your "one".
"I don't mean to offend, but, what are your kind my lady?" He said. You looked over your wings and flared them above your head. Why not show off a little? Besides, you were the only one here with literal wings.
"Angels," you simply said. It through Fili through a loop.
"L-like really angels?" He said mystified.
"I don't suppose there's any other kind, so yes. I am a Guardian Angel and considering that I fell off of my cloud up looking at you, I am your angel. No one else's," you folded the bright-white wings behind you.
"You're my guardian angel?" He asked again to be certain.
"Mmm-hmm," you nodded.
He chortled," I cannot believe it! It's only in stories that you hear about angels! " he smiled dumbly at you and you admired it.
"I'm here to watch over you, protect you, and keep you happy," you smiled back at him. He looked at you in awe. He become more handsome as you admired his features.
"I don't have words," he said breathily. There was a loud knock on the stone doors then. You jumped at the sound.
"Don't be frightened," he placed a warm hand on your arm. You looked in his eyes and found it extremely reassuring. "Stay here. I will return back to you. Only when you ask, I will take you on a walk through my city. I will have the halls cleared so they will not see you," he promised and you nodded at him, not sure what else to say.
You watched him walk away. While he left the large stone room you were left with your thoughts. Why was he being nice? He was nothing like your father had thought mortals were. You had a deep feeling in your gut that thi, Fili Son of Dis, would beat the "mortals are bad" stereotype. You also had a problem shaking the feeling that you felt something in your heart grow every time he was around.

"Do you regret it?" He asked as you walked through crowds of people in Erebor. With held you had over come your fear of the townsfolk seeing you. Fili was at your side every step of the way. Now, you could walk through giant crowds and not feel bad bout having a giant pair of bird wings.
"Regret what?" You asked unknowingly. The two of you had grown rather close. Closer than friendship even.
"Falling from the sky for me?" He asked softly. You looked at him like he was foolish.
"Never," you said gently. He took your hand in his and kissed it gently.
"I'm glad," he said happily with a smile and you giggle in turn.
***
"So how old are you?" Fili asked while he adjusted himself on a tree branch. You had perched yourself beside him effortlessly.
Your chortled," you assets that one first before I do. You'll be surprised," you looked over at him. You nodded.
"Alright, seems fair. I'm eighty two," he said proudly and you laughed. "What?"
"Nothing...." You tried to hide your grin.
"Fine then, now how about you?" He asked.
"3,026," you answered him and he let out a whistle.
"My mother would have a fit if she knew I was trying to court a some one who is 3,000 years old," he said looking out over the moonlight forest.
"Courting?" You raised an eyebrow to him.
"Well, if you'll have me, I'd be more than honored to court you. You are nice, funny, kind, caring, and stunningly beautiful," he said dreamily as he looked at you. You looked back deeply into his eyes.
"You mean that Fili?"
"Why wouldn't I?" His forehead creased.
"It just.....my father thinks mortals are all the same. That they are heartless beings who care only for riches rather than cheer and song. I felt so differently when I saw you the day I fell," you explained, " when guardian angels find the one their supposed to look after, they're souls are intertwined. We are literally made for the other. If I die, you will live on, but if you die, I die as well. If there is no you, I will cease to exist," you looked up into the starry sky.
Fili was quiet for a moment as he thought about that," so we're soul mates then?" He chuckled and you nodded.
"Something like that I suppose," you looked in his eyes. His laughing died when he saw the sincerity in your eyes. For a moment you saw his pupils dilate and lust fill his eye. Without warning you quickly placed your lips on his. He sighed at the contact. He kissed you back passionately. The kiss was warm and sweet. It was like fresh honey made from the finest bees. You pulled away slowly.
"Is it too early to say I love you?" He asked in a daze.
"Where I'm from, we say Ewhadathnine," and you leaned in and kissed him again.
***
You sliced your way through countless orcs. They didn't seem to stop coming! There weren't just orcs, there were goblins and cave dwellers who came to the battle. You fought swiftly alongside Fili who was cutting his way through the enemy.
It was tiring, but in your immortal body, you could go for an age and never tire. You had special metal armor spikes that plated your wings and you swiped them through the line of orcs as they came. Your sword sung as it cut off heads by the many.
You kept getting pushed back toward the Mountain with Fili. You liked at him with frightens eyes. He gave you a nod in reassurance although it barely made a dint.
You planted yourself on the ground all of the sudden when you felt the breath be knocked out of you. You felt a tremendous pain surge around your midsection. You clutched is as you looked at Fili who was just stabbed by a long spear. In anger you threw your sword into the skull of the goblin. Fili pulled out the spear with a pained expression and fell to the ground.
You stood over him now. You wings flared out fully behind you as you stared in horror at Fili. He looked at you as blood spluttered from his mouth. You felt a lump build in your throat.
His features softened," ...I...l-love...you," he said weakly. You watched in horror as his stare on your froze and his chest stopped mid breath. He had died. And you let out a sob.
You balled your fists as you let out a loud murderous cry. You scream was heard for miles as you fell to your knees. The world was in slow motion as a shock wave from you was released. It knocked the Emmy far back or killed them with its sheer power. You splayed your arms over Fili's lifeless body.
You screamed again as pain began to fill your body. Your eyes began to streak tears of blood. Angels were never meant to cry. Your wings stung as your feathers began to loosen and be carried off on the wind. Your bare wings now disintegrated into a silvery ash. Your heart beat began to slow and it filled with heart break and pain. You sobbed as you laid over his body. You loved him and you would love him forever, even in death. You would guard him, keep him safe, and happy in a different life.
As your crying quieted and the world darkened you saw the face of your father. The sky behind him was gold and the clouds were bright white. You knew he was welcoming you back home with Fili.
He spoke to both you and Fili in this world of gold, "the sky's welcome you, and I will forever watch over you and keep you happy," you father said to you. You had just realized that your father was your assigned guardian angel.
You weren't sure if you had died or rejoined your parents. But the smile on Fili's face next to you said it all. It didn't mate where you were, you were together. You smirked when you seen what was attached to Fili's back: a big pair of the whitest wings you had ever seen.
