You threw your blade as hard as possible. It found its mark in the chest of an Orc who had begun stalking your husband, Thorin. He turned behind him to see the dead creature. Laughing, he pulled your silver sword from its chest.
"You keep on saving me don't you y/n?" He asked as he handed you your weapon.
"I suppose so my dear; maybe you should watch your ass more often so I don't have to," you both laughed at each other. Thorin wiped the black blood from his sword. The Orc pack that had stumbled upon the group was no more, for they sat dead and unmoving at your feet. You and your husband had taken most of them down. No one could stop you and your warrior king.
Thorin dropped the tough guy stance for a moment,"how are you? You didn't get hurt did you love?" He was loving when he wanted to be.
"No darling, I'm fine. You?" You asked looking him over.
"Not a scratch my dear y/n," he stepped up and kissed your forehead. You loved this fool.

The group had just escaped from that elven king's lair. Everyone would still be locked away in those pathetic dungeons if Bilbo hadn't come along. He just popped up out of no where and saved the day. He deserved more credit than he was given.
Now the group was headed to Laketown. They had run into a Lakemen named Bard. He seemed like a nice fellow and he was nice to look at as well. While they rode into the icy town you told stories of the creatures you an your husband had killed:

"I once kill a Minotaur. They're ghastly creatures I must say and they're extremely bull headed," you giggled at your pun as did the rest of the company that sat around you.
"Aye! I can vouch for her, we went off and slated the beast together," Thorin squeezed your hand gently. The company made a bunch of cat calls and others said "eww" or "yuck".
"Hey! It could have been worse! The time we went up against that Ogre was a bit scary. He had sharp teeth, no eyes, he could anticipate your movement with his abnormally large ears," you said and you put a hand to your stomach. You felt nauseous all of the sudden, but why? It was even midday yet. The company continued to chat about the kills you and Thorin made together. It would that it was only Thorin himself who noticed your sudden change.
"Y-y/n? Are you alright love?" He looked you over," you look like your going to be sick," at this you froze in place and your eyes were wide with realization. You let go of his hand and ran towards the side of the boat. Thorin was right beside you when you began heaving your your stomach contents. The company had paused their discussion to watch the scene. Thorin ran a soothing hand over your back and held your hair. Once you were finished you wiped your mouth. Thorin looked you in the eyes with concern.
"I thought you would've had a tougher stomach y/n! I didn't know you got sea-sick," Bofur called from atop his pony.
"Oh shut it Bofur!" You counter back. Thorin cupped your cheek which brought you back to the present.
"Are you alright dear?" He asked only for you to hear. "Did you eat something rotten?"
"No, I don't think it's what I ate Thorin," you brought to hands to your stomach region. "I'm late" you whispered. Thorin removed his hand from your face and stared at you in shock.

"A-are you.....with c-child?" Thorin asked and both of you knew that if you were, it would be his.
"I think so...." You were just as scared if not more. Tears began to form in both of the parents' to be's eyes. You were pregnant on a very dangerous quest!
"We're going to be parents!" Thorin shouted happily. At least he hadn't realized the entirety of the situation yet. The company was silent for a moment before it erupted into fits of claps and applause. Thorin gave you a tight hug and regardless, of your vomiting, a kiss on the lips. He pulled back and wiped your tears.
"I will keep yo-the both of you safe y/n. The company and I will do anything for you," he addressed the dangerous part of the quest.
"I know," you gave a smile and he led you back to the group to be praised.

THORIN'S POV
I fought them off. I fought the orc scum with every fiber of my being. I would not let these creatures, enter Erebor where my pregnant wife awaited my return. Thorin swung his blade hard through the in coming orcs.
Thorin thought back to you as he fought. He was so ready to be a father. He could wait to see his mini me. The child he'd never met had quickly become his everything. Thorin was happy to know that Oin stayed back with you in Erebor. You had gotten so swollen he estimated that you were soon to pop. Thorin had put the happiness aside for a moment to concentrate on protecting his home.
Thorin was in the middle of cutting off the head of an orc when a raven appeared out of nowhere. It flew in front of him and perched itself in a spear that was planted in the ground. The crow began to speak in a language that only the dwarves could dicier," you wife is going into labor," said his crackly voice. Thorin froze for a moment. It was happening!
"Go, tell my nephews, but make sure they stay fighting! Do not let them come! I will go to her," Thorin dismissed the bird as he hastily ran back to the castle.

Thorin was out of breath when he reached the room you were in. He paused before the door when he heard you scream. Every time he went to open it something held him back. He wondered how long you had been in labor; he also didn't know how long he had stood there because you had stopped screaming for quite sometime. With new courage he pushed open the door and stepped in cautiously.
Thorin made eye contact with you first. You were covered in sweat and laid out over a lush bed. You looked extremely tired as you looked at your husband. Thorin looked around the room now for his baby. He saw Oin working over in the corner on something.
"Thorin before you see them, it's s but of a shock," you smiled.
"T-them?" He asked breathlessly. Oin pulled back from his swaddling and he had two babies wrapped in blue blankets in his arms.
"Congratulations my king, you have two health baby boys," Oin gentle passed them both to Thorin. Thorin was speechless as he looked at their identical faces.
"Twins?!" He's smile was growing. Hit tears began to flow down his cheeks.
"Yes my love, twins. Come, we must decide on names," you scooted over on you bed to make room for your snuffling husband.
