A couple of weeks had gone by and Ginny had been staying with her parents back home at the burrow. Harry came by to visit and Mrs. Weasley greeted him at the door. “Please come in Harry! It’s so good to see you.” She says giving Harry a hug.
“Ginny Harry is here!” Mrs. Weasley yelled up the stairway.
Ginny came running down the stairs and wraps her arms around Harry’s neck hugging him. “Hey Harry.” She says smiling “Hey Gin, I’m glad to see you’re still doing well.”
Harry and Ginny both go out to the lake to spend sometime together so Ginny can get to know Harry better. They talked for hours and Harry answered any questions Ginny had.
Harry came by everyday after work to visit Ginny. He kept his promise of staying friends and didn’t try and push anything from Ginny. Sometimes Ginny would have bad days where she would feel bad for Harry since she cant remember anything. Harry always reassured her that it was okay and that he was glad to be her friend.
After they had been talking for a while Ginny was quiet and started staring down at her feet.
“I saw the ring Harry…” she mumbles
“Do what?” Harry asked
“I saw the ring you had in your pocket…Back at the hospital I saw you pull it out. I pretended to be asleep so you wouldn’t know I saw it…”
“oh…right. The ring…” Harry sighs.
“That’s kind of why I left. I had panicked… I know a engagement ring when I see one… Were you going to ask me?”
Harry looked over to Ginny. “Well I… um had plan to after the match… but that was before you got hurt. I wasn’t going to put any pressure on you and ask you after you got hurt.”

“Oh… Sorry I had freaked a bit. I would’ve been a lucky girl… you’re a great guy Harry” she smiles.
Harry smiles back at Ginny.
“I think I’m ready… to give us a shot.” Ginny smirks up at him shyly
“Are you sure?” Harry asked shocked.
Ginny nodded her head “Yes, I’m sure. I don’t feel pressured and I’ve really started to grow fond of you.” She smiles.
Harry smiles in return. “Alright, whatever you say.”
Ginny slowly and nervously leans in and presses her lips against Harry and then pulls away looking into Harrys eyes stunned.
“Are you okay Ginny? We can take this slow if that’s the problem…”
Ginny starts to grin with tears in her eyes. “Harry James Potter I love you!” She says excitingly and tightly wraps her arms around his neck.
Harry is still not sure what is going on but he slowly wraps his arms around her hugging her back. “I love you to Gin…”
Ginny backs away from the hug and takes a deep breath trying to calm down and grabs one of Harry’s hands. “I remember Harry.” She says excitedly as she moves her bright red hair behind her ear.
“Really?” Harry says stunned.
“Really Harry. Every little fight, kiss, date, all of it every moment.” She says smiling.
Harry smiles and cups her cheek. “Really Ginny?”
“Really honey. I’m back.”
They both lean in kissing each other and smile against each other’s lips as they kiss. After a moment Ginny pulls away smirking. “ Don’t you have a question to ask me Mr. Potter” Ginny teases Harry.
“Oh yeah! Of course.” Harry says as he nervously digs around in his pocket for the ring that had continuously carried around in his pocket. Then Harry gets up kneeling onto one of his knees.
“Ginny… Will you marry me?” Harry asked holding out the ring to her nervously smiling.
Ginny sits up smiling nodding her head several times.
“Yes! A thousand times yes!”
