This way, they avoid reckoning with the degrading feelings towards themselves.
And when judging someone else won't make you any less of an asshole... well, then you get into a cycle of judging, until someone else puts an end to it.
Scott loved to judge others
He had tried to point his finger and blame Peter for all of his problems, but Peter wasn't one to care for his shit, so blaming him didn't feel that good.
So he started degrading the next thing better... Derek and while he tried to act like he didn't care, the sour wolf did... and much.
Sometimes Scott blamed Stiles, his best friend, or others of the pack when Derek wasn't available.
The thing is that it was never fault if something went south.
Kisa didn't mind the pointy fingers, the curled lips, the squinty eyes neither the reproving words that would usually come from the alpha.
He was certainly not her alpha and she would do whatever she thought was right in order to keep those she cared for alive, including being the bad guy.
Petrovas were never ones to shy away from death.
But Kisa couldn't help the way her fingers curled around his neck, immediately cutting his air supply, letting his body spasming, legs kicking the air as she held him above the ground.
Not when he had directed those judging eyes to Kai, like his father and many others had done before.
She could almost see the words in his eyes 'Abomination' darkening as he glared at the witch.
And she saw how Kai, although trying to appear unaffected, had visibly shrunk behind her.
Kisa explained tilting her head to observe his blueish face as she added more pressure to her fingers
The werewolf parted his lips with difficulty, coughing up blood.

Kai perked up from behind, grinning at the almost unconscious state of the alpha as his eyes changed constantly from dark brown to red, unable to use his strength against the vampire.
With a flick of her wrist, the werewolf was sent flying through the corridor of the school, a loud moan of pain leaving his lips as his body crashed against some lockers, before he went in another fit of coughing, the blood still present as he pressed his hand against his lips as he felt a strange pressure on his chest.
Scott's eyes widened when he heard a soft humm becoming louder and louder, the only sound she was making as she walked silently in his direction.
His body trembling as he tried to crawl as far as possible from her reach, only for him to gasp as he saw her feet standing there, behind him.
Kisa questioned with a smirk, her hickory eyes looking down at his staggered expression.
Kisa answered seriously as she crouched down beside him.
Her index finger and thumb clenching harshly around his chin as she turned his head in the direction of the others, forcing him to look at them, which made Mal grin while Kai waved excitedly.
Liam couldn't help but turn bright red as Scott gave him a look of betrayal, fidgeting in his spot as he hid slightly behind Kai.
Nadia called out with an incredulous look on her face, taking Scott's eyes away from Liam as Kisa tightened her hold on his chin, making him scream as the bones cracked.
Kisa told him bluntly
Kisa told him before whispering by his ear
Scott promised through clenched teeth, gaining a grin from the vampire who was patting his head now.
Her eyes became red and black veins appeared on her skin, her fangs making her grin diabolic as she leaned closer to the wolfshe nodded her head in the direction of her new family, but kept her eyes on him.

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
