"I'd rather be dead"

"Then I have some good news for you"

The car drive from New Orleans to Beacon Hills was long... too long.

Too long to share the space with Kai who was growing irritable with the long hours he had to be sat in the same place doing nothing.

Lucky for them, Kisa had the wonderful idea of getting Kai to teach Amara some magical tricks, this way the Parker witch would feel less inclined to commit murder, Amara would be learning something and Nadia would have free access to ask Kisa everything she wished to know about her.

It did cause some accidents along the way though, but with everyone in the car safe, Kisa couldn't be bothered.

Kisa questioned Kai, making him nod quickly with a grin.

he answered, counting down on his fingers, making the doppelgänger smile at him.

Kisa explained softly, keeping her eyes on him so he could see that she was serious.

When he nodded, she kissed his forehead while patting his cheek.

Looking ahead of them was a complex of cabins in the middle of the woods. Kisa had it constructed when she started to form bonds in Beacon Hills, wanting a place where she could stay with her loved ones, knowing that they were close and safe while still have their privacy.

Due to its location, it was a calm place to live, which Kisa liked a lot and Kai was just thankful that it wasn't the prison world nor the Parker compound.

Amara seemed to enjoy the forest around the houses as well by the soft smile that was playing on her lips and Nadia was happy to be close to her only living family.

Yes, she knew her mother was dead, it kinda happened like this:

Flashback

"Where's Katherine?" Nadia had questioned after a few hours, finally noticing the absence of the doppelgänger.

"She... left" Amara had answered softly, trying not to make her new friend sad.

But her plan was destroyed with a snicker coming from Kai, who was giving her an amused look "Yeah, to hell, right demon?"

"After I pulled her heart out of her chest and made Kol eat it" Kisa finished bluntly, making Amara stare Nadia with a weak smile, her eyes twitching.

She wanted to kick them both

Nadia was serious for a moment before she burst out laughing, Amara didn't know if she could sigh in relief or if she added Nadia to her list of people to kick.

"... You're not angry?" Amara questioned interrupting their conversation, which had already changed completely.

Her face didn't hide her disappointment, there she was thinking that she would have at least one normal person added to the group.

But no... they were all crazy, her family was crazy

Amara sighed, dropping her head in a short lived moment of depression, as the trio watched her in confusion.

"Are you okay?" Kai questioned slowly, tilting his head as he shared a concerned look with Kisa and Nadia.

"I was worried about her feelings" Amara mumbled to herself, walking away in front of the trio as they continued to watch her.

"Aww aunt Amara, you're so sweet!" Nadia exclaimed, speeding up to the pouting original Petrova.

"Wait up, my shadow self! Oh now I will only call you that" Kisa told them, making Amara pass her hand over her red face as she stopped walking, waiting for the K laughing duo.

"Yay! Road-trip!"

End of Flashback

Kisa told the trio, making Kai salute at her while Amara nodded with a grin and Nadia smirked.

The vampire simply threw her car keys to Nadia, who was the only one she actually trusted with a car, and then sped away to her old house.

The Petrova doppelgänger didn't bother to enter it, however, since she couldn't hear any heartbeats coming from the house.

Kisa shouted as she slammed the doors open of the Police Station.

Everyone turned to look at her, Deputy Parrish smirking as he shook his head in amusement while pointing at the red faced Sheriff, who had slammed his head on the table in order to avoid the stares of everyone.

Kisa told him seriously, patting his head, which made his colleagues snort.

They had no idea she was centuries older than he was, so the scene of a younger looking girl patting their superior seemed funny to them.

Until Parrish and Kisa glared at the men, making them gulp and quickly scram back to their jobs

Her voice was emotionless as hickory eyes narrowed at the cast on his arm.

A body jumped on her and thanks to her vampire powers Kisa was able to catch Lydia instead of send both of them to the ground.

A wide smile was playing on the ginger's lips, her eyes showing relief, making the brunette frown again.

Making an 'I'm watching you' sign to the Sheriff, who shivered at her glare, the two girls left the building with Kisa placing Lydia on her back before she vanished.

The vampire questioned calmly once again, not seeing the mischievous look on the strawberry blonde who had her chin on Kisa's shoulder as she answered

And dark veins started to appear on the vampire's face.
