《Sweet Child of Chaos》Paradoxes

"Love is such a tissue of paradoxes, and exists in such endless variety of forms and shades that you may say almost anything about it that you please, and it is likely to be correct"
Malia couldn't help but stare at her girlfriend from the other side of the school, almost as if she was in a trance.
Her eyes squinted, bottom lip pulled between her teeth as she simply stared, not giving Kira a second look when she heard her giggle.
Kira whispered, not even noticing the slight smirk that appeared on the vampire's face at her words, eyes leaving the screen of Lydia's laptop for a second to meet Malia's, who was indeed staring, before she winked and turned back to the problem in hands.
the werecoyote answered with a shrug, a small smile playing on her lips from their little eye contact, before she turned to the confused fox.
Malia grinned at this and took a bite of her cookies.
It was surprisingly good, considering it was made for a 5 hundred years old vampire who didn't quite spend much time trying to bake something.
A little burnt on the edges, but still good, and Kisa had insisted on putting them on 5 small packs, only for her favorites, she said.
One had been given to Mal, obviously.
The second to Mr. Stilinski, leaving it on his desk at work just before they went to school, with a red post-it.
"I was gonna take over the world this morning, but I burnt my cookies.
Postponed... again , but don't be sad, I feel like tomorrow is our day, Mr. Stilinski!
Prepare the guns and the gasoline, I'm picking you up in the morning!"
She didn't know, because he wasn't there when she came, but Noah laughed at her note and ate every single burnt cookie with a genuine smile on his face.

The third had been given to Lydia, not a surprise considering how the strawberry blonde female had claimed Kisa as her best friend.
Their friendship was definitely interesting and confusing to many, though, they wouldn't talk about boys/girls, nor fashion, like everyone expected when the subject was Lydia Martin.
The duo could go on for hours talking about history, Kisa would tell Lydia every event she had lived through and the younger girl would listen carefully with shiny eyes full of interest.
Occasionally, the would also judge other people together and with Kisa's intimidating aura, Lydia became the talk of the school once again, the queen bee and the mysterious one.
An odd pair
A dangerous one.
It wasn't a surprise to anyone of the pack that Lydia went to Kisa with the code she had written, trying to figure out what they meant.
And while it could be a dangerous threat for the group, the girls sat on the ground, beside a with Kisa's new puppy very happily playing with them as the Martin girl told her friend everything she had discovered so far.
Smiles on their faces and no hint of fear or anxiety, they seemed peaceful.
Lydia told her while finishing her cookie, her free hand caressing Maverick's black and white fur as she waited for the vampire's approval.
Lydia grinned at the words coming from the vampire, nodding to herself as she looked back down at the code, only for someone to block the sun which was making them glow.
sighing, the girls looked up to Stiles with annoyed expressions, making him stare at them in disbelief
Lydia questioned, leaning her head against her palm as she stared at the boy.
Kisa continued, taking another pack of cookies from her bag before she threw it towards Stiles, colliding against his face.

Rubbing his face while dramatically expressing his anxiety, Stiles pointed a finger at Kisa, ready to complain, but stopped when his eyes finally identified the sweets.
His eyes were wide, cheeks a faint pink as he looked at the package, receiving a scowl from the brunette, who looked away from him as she answered.
Lydia bit back a smile, looking down at her laptop as Stiles beamed with a wide grin on his face.
Turning a little red from embarrassment, Kisa clicked her tongue and decided to change the subject.
His mouth opened in an 'O' and he nodded his head, almost as if he had forgotten why he had gone to them in the first place.
Looking at him with a raised eyebrow, the brunette simply blurted
His face turned purple at her words while Lydia laughed loudly, attracting even more attention to their odd group.
and he left almost running from the brunette, who stared after him in confusion.
Shaking their heads, the duo started to pack their things up, with Kisa taking Maverick on her arms as they walked inside the corridors of the school.
Lydia questioned intrigued, her eyes on the last package of cookies on Kisa's free hand.
Kisa explained calmly, her hickory eyes looking through the mass of students as she tried to spot the younger boy, only to see him being cornered by Scott and Stiles.
And she groaned
Kissing Lydia's cheek, the brunette left her in her classroom and went towards the trio, with Stiles rapidly slapping Scott's arm as soon as he saw her coming.
But his friend was too busy embarrassing himself to understand the signal.
Kisa had an 'Are you actually an idiot?' look on her face as she heard those words and Stiles slapped his hand against Scott's mouth, trying to stop him from embarrassing himself even further.
Stiles told him in annoyance, making the youngest scoff.
the boys turned towards the voice, with Liam grinning at the brunette, Scott looking sheepishly down at his feet and Stiles biting the inside of his cheek as he rocked back and forth on his heels.
Kisa gave Liam a genuine smile, before she turned to look at the problematic duo with a dangerous smirk, making them fidget under her gaze.
Liam hugged her affectionately, leaving the vampire frozen on her spot for a second, looking at his running figure waving at her while giving the other two warning glares and he disappeared.
Crossing her arms in front of her chest as she looked back at the duo, the vampire couldn't help but slam her hand against her face at Stiles' response.
Unexpectedly, his lips pulled up in a small smile at her words.

In a world set upon by an ancient threat, a new cycle of civilisation competes for power and resources. Amidst the games and politicking of Elder beings, the masses are unknowingly ensnared in plots and schemes that were centuries in the making. At the heart of the world’s workings lies the Tyreal Valley—a land that promises to fulfil the desires of those who seek it. As a haven for the truly strong, the path to this promise is paved more often than not in warfare and blood. To two young stragglers fighting for more than just their own fates, it is left as their only answer. But maybe that’s just what their enemies want. Magic system vaguely similar to GameLit ones (no system nor interface to help), with certain elements that are a bit more analogue. Politics, war, looming apocalypse, a tiny dash of kingdom building, and a minor bit of crafting. There is a bit of a progression element as well as both environmental and cultural exploration. The story follows two youths more directly influenced by aforementioned Elder beings than most. Neither lead cares for politics but certain situations force them into participating, forcing them to make decisions that shape their morality. Initially, the focus is on the male lead as he comes of age in an environment with little scope to change his future, only to be thrust into new circumstances that permanently kill some of his hopes. 3k words every chapter
