《Sweet Child of Chaos》Personal Bodyguard

Their quiet whispers were soon cut off by Stiles hitting something or someone, making Kisa straighten up as her eyes whipped back and forth in alarm.
The Stilinski boy was many things, but he would never hurt his precious jeep, so for him to actually hit something straight up? It was definitely fishy.
"What happened?" The girl in the motorcycle asked as soon as everyone stopped to see what was going on.
"I don't know! It felt like we hit something!" Stiles stressed over as he looked at his car.
"I don't smell blood, beasty" Kisa whispered softly só no one else could listen, making the werecoyote turn towards her with a frown.
"Scott, we need to get there by night. It's too dangerous otherwise"
Scott hesitated as he looked at his best friend, he was human after all, and humans were bound to get hurt whenever the supernatural was involved.
"Go" Stiles comforted him with a confident voice, his heartbeat steady, as if he wasn't afraid of what could happen to them.
"I can go" Kisa offered while raising her hand slightly, but her eyes were focused on the dead bushes nearby.
Everything seemed dead around, just like her.
"No!" Stiles shouted quickly, making everyone turn to him with an amused expression while Kisa deadpanned.
"I can take care of myself, you know?" Crossing her arms in front of her chest, she glared at the human boy, only to receive an eye roll from him.
"I know that, who is going to protect me if you go? You're staying here as my bodyguard, Scott, you can go"
Malia snorted at this as Kisa looked at him in disbelief.
"I'm not your bloody bodyguard!" The Petrova hissed while placing her finger against his chest as he flushed a light pink.
"Well, today you are" Stiles muttered cheekily while offering her a smile, making the brunette sigh heavily as she went back to stand beside Malia, hiding the slightest smile that had appeared on her lips.

"You're buying me food after this" Kisa declared while leaning hugging Malia from behind with her chin on the girl's shoulder.
Stiles quickly nodded once he saw her glare, which quickly dropped into a wide grin as soon as he agreed with her.
"See? Best friend safe and sound, just go" Stiles reassured Scott, clapping his hand on the alpha's shoulder as the other nodded in agreement and followed after Braeden, but not before hugging Kira.
Stiles quickly went to his car and true to find out what was wrong with it as the others stood nearby, with Kisa laying on top of the hood as she glared at the sun which seemed to be harshly bruising her skin even with her daylight ring on.
"I don't think we hit something... I think something hit us" Malia's voice brought her back from her glaring competition with the sun as she looked at the claw that was now being hold by the Stilinski boy, making Kisa tilt her head as images of legend started to form in her mind.
"Interesting" the woman analyzed while jumping down to touch the big object, making the others's attention turn towards her as they waited for her to elaborate.
"Berserkers... according to the legends they were humans that passed through some kind of ritual which granted them supernatural strength, speed and durability" Kisa explained while observing the evidence.
"The rituals were made using the pelts and bones of bears, so it's believed that their ferocity was something that accompanied the supernatural powers, turning the men into mindless beings that obey orders from their masters"
Stiles started to freak out and his sluggish hands started to work faster on his jeep, his anxiety getting the best of him as Malia distanced herself in order to not feel his feelings.
"We should go" Lydia expertly concluded, making the others, beside Stiles, nod in agreement while the boy merely glared at her.
"I won't let this keep behind. Never. You understand me? Ever. Ever"
"Work faster, Stiles" Mal told him while flickering her claws out as soon as she saw Kisa's tense posture. "They are here with us"

The werecoyote stood back to back against the vampire, both clearly aware of the creatures that surrounded them as they waited for them to leave their hideouts and attack.
But the sun which previously seemed an inconvenience, started to feel like a blessing as it gave them a better sight of what was going on around, until it died and gave place to the moon.
Oh the moon, its beauty incomparable in the vampire's eyes, but even she couldn't deny how little she shined in comparison with the yellow ball of Apollo on their moment of fright.
"Lydia, could you please hold the light still for a second? It's really hard to see anything if you keep shaking it like that" Stiles and Lydia's argument was their only source of amusement for the past minutes which were now striking near an hour.
"I'm shaking it like that, because we're in the middle of nowhere with your broken down jeep and we're being attacked by razor-clawed monsters which according to Kisa are a pain in the ass to kill and I'm terrified!" Lydia shouted in disbelief, her annoyance stamped on her face.
"Well, just be slightly less terrified" Stiles suggested, turning his eyes to meet Kisa's snorting figure as she gave him a knowing look.
"According to your heartbeats, you're way more scared than she is... scared cat"
His face once again turned a bright pink, but it didn't stop him from glaring at her, before he turned to look at the banshee who was now giving him a pointed look.
"Hold this" passing her a part of the car which no one knew what it was, the banshee looked thoughtful as her green orbs went back and forth between them.
"What's this?"
"I don't know, I'm hoping it's not important"
As the duo continued to watch the area, Kira continued pacing around while biting her thumb.
"We need light" Malia mumbled while squinting her eyes as if to focus, making the fox look at them with a thinking face before she run towards the car and used her sword to reflect the light coming from it.
And that's when they finally saw them.
Malia and Kisa didn't waste any time in running towards the creatures, the sound of growls and flesh ripping as they fought against the berserkers as the others shouted at them.
The vampire had long lost her friend, focusing solemnly on the death scent that was coming from the warrior in front of her as her vampire eyes adjusted to the darkness.
He was fast, but she was faster.
Giving him a drop kick with immense strength, she gained few seconds of advantage to wrap her fingers around his skull, using her supernatural strength to pull it off as his body turned into dust.
"Seriously? Again? Why does everything I touch turns to dust nowadays? How am I supposed to grab a bite?" Breaking the bear skull harshly with only one hand, the brunette returned towards the car as soon as she heard the sound of the engine.
But it was the scent of blood that caught her immediate attention.
"Beasty, are you okay?" Helping the coyote towards the jeep, her eyes met the wound on Malia's ribs and her jaw clenched in anger.
"I-I'm fine, are you?" Mal's eyes checked the brunette head to toe, not catching any visible wounds as her body seemed to relax, before she doubled over.
"I got you, darling" and with this, Kisa carried Malia till they arrived the car, watching carefully the girl as her wounds started to close again, but this time, Malia made no movements to move from the vampire's hold, finding comfort in her arms as her eyes gazed at her.
"You're staring" Kisa mumbled with a small smirk playing on her lips as her fingers caressed Malia's newly blonde hair.
"... so what if I am?"

Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)
Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus

Dark Winter
It is always darkest before the dawn. After the divorce, Katie Fox was forced to live with her mother in New York after the judge ruled that her father, a former Army Ranger, wasn’t stable enough. They called him ‘that crazy bunker guy’ or ‘that paranoid freak.’ Whatever they called him, Christopher Fox was a Prepper. He taught those willing to listen how to survive in a catastrophe and how to prepare for the end of the world. More than that though, he was her father and she would rather spend her life in his underground bunker than another minute in that New York highrise. So, she ran away. The date is November 28th, Black Friday and hell has been unleashed on the world. A freak storm mixes with a deadly virus that turns its victims into mindless hunters of flesh. Katie will have to use everything her father taught her to survive and reach the safety of his underground bunker. Note from the author: Thanks for stopping by! The plan is to upload a chapter every Saturday or Sunday (as my schedule allows). Hope you enjoy the story!

Solstice Anthology
A collection of short stories I've written over the past few years, the centerpiece being "Solstice" itself: On the Winter Solstice, the wind whispered. It roared and blew across the world, and reached even the Heavens above. With it, the great cold of winter flooded across that higher plane, and the gods staggered. They felt the golden dust of their divinity drift away from them, and the message of that wind became clear… This Winter will never end so that the Earth will.
