Everything was finally falling into place, but this was not a fairytale was it? No. Some real hard work goes into fixing other people's mistakes. Why? Because you never really knew how deep the damage went and the silvery wolf knew that, she knew it too well.

That is why she had to prod, provoke and prod Rain some more in order to ascertain the anomalies in her temper, attitude and reaction. It was through this that she learned how the rogue hated being treated like a delicate flower; indeed she did which resulted in plenty bloody battles between her and her soul kin.

'Why treat me and yourselves like damaged goods,' she'd ask. 'when we are in truth so much more than our past?' This happened anytime someone or other dared to talk down on themselves or even feel sorry for her, thus earning more and more of her soul kin's admiration, trust and loyalty.

It was never a planned affair for the pack to work on their defence skills because in this particular pack, it was already a way of life. Wild as it were, it was good for our Rain.

There was no silence in her family, this family who had found her. No such thing as sitting idly to pass time, oh wouldn't it be an insult to call our busy s?

Questions were asked, for one, 'why call our selves wild if we are not going to utilize said wilderness? We walk mother earth's grounds only but who chased us from the trees?

By influence, Rain became a more affectionate mother to her twins, with the help from the elderly wolf, she learned to give more 'thumbs up' for a job well done and yelled less for the negative. She wasn't a touchy feely person by growth and was not going to transform into one overnight.

It took months for Rain to adjust and enjoy being around other wolves, but with kindred spirits all around her, it was a bit easier to bond with them, her brothers and sisters.

It was during these events that Rain felt a gap inside of her, like a large piece of herself was missing, something that would put a stamp to the word family. She did not know how to deal with this feeling and why she was this way, and so she went to the one figure she trusted with all her life at the moment. To the silvery wolf, her

Mama was inside one of the huts she seemed to love more than others, built right at the center of pack grounds and with nothing but thatching for both walls and roof, the hut was her favorite. It always smelled like herbs when Rain visited the place, but to her, it was the smell of home. Rain assumed their Mama liked this hut cause it was one of the most traditional structures in the pack, for a classic wolf like her healer Mama. What she'd never know was that her Mama preferred because from within the tiny place she felt perfectly in tune to her children's every emotion. From this place she could sense when there was anything amiss, so this was mama-wolf keeping an eye on things.

It was at sundown that day when Rain visited the silvery wolf, pulling the enclosing beads apart at the entrance, she let herself in to her Mama's favorite den. Other than the annoying clanking of the beads, no other sound came from the rogue because the only sound Mama appreciated was her children's joy and herbs grinding, less of all else.

"Mama, what are you doing?" Rain asked quietly, approaching the silvery wolf who was knelt next to a steaming pot. "For you this-" she pointed at the roses, which were mesmerising with their velvety petals melting into a thick bloody red substance that oddly enough...smelled like blood, which alarmed Rain!

"Mama!" She yelled crawling backwards, away from the cooking roses, staring at the silvery wolf in fright.

"Sit down, no panic." Came the instruction at once.

"No, I can't, what are you-" she tried standing up only to fall back on her knees, the smell of blood was clogging her airways in how potent it was, and her body was beginning to hurt really bad. The scent was a heaven made from hell, it was a temptation that alluded power to the rogue, it evoked every evil instinct within, the need to kill and destroy. It evoked the need to bathe in the blood of both friend and foe, it enticed cruelty, rogue behavior and rogue existence and Rain was afraid of what she could do were she to yield to this delicious dark liquid's scent. So she screamed! Clawing at her crawling skin, at her shifting body, trying her best for her body back to its human form before its too late.

The silvery wolf watched on with sad eyes, how can a person hate themselves this much? Why would they think they were the worse thing happen to this world? The rogue was that much afraid of letting herself shift into who she really was.

The elderly wolf swallowed against her oncoming tears, this had to be done.

"Your rogue" She said softly.

The tears that made track down Rain's face were fast pouring, "Mama please don't do this," but her bones were already cracking, the pain beyond anything she had ever experienced. Of course, the price of fighting against nature.

Mama's own tears made show, down the pathways of her wrinkled skin beneath her eyes, down to her chin.

"Set rogue free, this rose pretty, but dies. Blood bad, but life"

Oh it was life alright, that is why Rain was in pain on the floor, due to the bloodlust that had hold of her. Her rogue overpowering her. Losing control, the plan was to NEVER! The rogue would ravish everything in its path, and dear gods that was her family outside. No one would survive. She had a feeling her rogue was stronger than anything she knew, would refuse to be defeated, to be leashed again. Rain couldn't let that happen, she couldn't let the monster out, and she would die trying NOT to, ever.

What the rogue didn't know is that the silvery wolf knew her darkest and deepest fear, and how much Rain had it wrong. All of it.

"Taste it! So sweet" she urged, having poured the pot contents into a mug, ever so steady crawling towards Rain's place on the floor.

"No!"

"Try it-

"Get it away from me!" The rogue screamed.

"Made for you!" The silvery wolf was unrelenting, pushing at the rogue's arms that had crossed to cover her face, sitting on her thrashing feet.

Rain's throat was on fire, the thirst was too much, she knew if she let go of control, things would get real. The images dancing in her head, guaranteed that a little taste of the blood being brought closer and closer to her face, would lead to an insatiable hunger for more, where truly the hunt for said more would write her off as a mindless killing machine. A rogue.

Mama's heart ached so much at the sight, the self hatred emanating from the rogue held an appalling scent. Rain had curled into herself on the floor, she was shaking like a leaf and sweating like never before. Her flushed cheeks emphasized her pain, while her running nose emphasised her fragile state of mind. The lack of control was mostly her biggest fear, like those time she'd wake in No-Man's Land having destroyed everything in her path. She couldn't have it, she couldn't kill her family.

But fate, is fate and there is no other way around it. Mama, with little help from her wolf, finally got Rain to take a big gulp of the forbidden despite her screaming and struggling and scratching.

The effects were immediate, Rain's body calmed of its own accord, resorted to writhing in a mixture of pain and pleasure, right then her rogue came through. Rose like a spirit from its owner.

The demonic eyes had an intense awareness to them, scary and feral. The rogue in all its glory was majestic. The six feet monster protectively standing astride an exhausted Rain's body, watching and wagging its tail at Mama before turning to stare into Rain's eyes.

She couldn't believe it, she just couldn't believe how much love she felt radiating from her rogue, and all just for her. Those red eyes knew her, understood her, were her. The rogue nudged at her chest before bringing its snout towards her hands that lay limp by her side. It nudged her again when Rain did nothing, with much effort, Rain raised her shaking hand to the rogue's head, and when the rogue bowed further into Rain, she moved her hand gently and lovingly over the rogue's midnight black fur. That is when she realized all along she'd been caging herself, this was who she was, a rogue, and the creature would have sooner snapped from lack of attention rather then freedom, she was so wrong. And there she hugged her wolf down to her, with tears leaking down the sides of her eyes, at this mama cried too, now Rain could accept and love herself, for everything she was.

The rogue had never felt so liberated, Lara had never felt so energized and Rain had never felt so charged in her life. The beings for once weren't fighting each other for control, not anymore, each to his own was the policy. A harmony not imagined possible before, the rogue for once felt in sync with its host, ready for any and everything thrown their way. Lara on the other hand had this deep needling that somewhere out there was a call to her soul, a bond missing its link. And Rain, she knew exactly what to do with all this buzz inside of her, crinkling the map in her hand, right into her tattered satchel, she took a turn towards the borders of her pack, having kissed her twins bye, for now.

She was off to find her lost brothers, not accepting her rogue had been the only barrier to her destiny. Now? Nothing would stop her.
