People rushed past Patrick and I when we made our way to the meeting room underneath Hillings Pub. Fear and shock filled their faces, causing me to frown. They were mumbling something underneath their breath, but I couldn't quite catch it because they were running around.
I grabbed hold of one of the people that rushed past and raised an eyebrow when the person was about to hit me. "What happened?" I asked after the person, a male, ducked his head and muttered 'Director' and an apology.
The male frowned, his eyes filled with confusion. He moved a hand through his brown hair, and I could tell that he wanted to be anywhere but here. "Don't you know?" he asked. He huffed when I just stared at him blankly. "Cami was brought in, dead."
I frowned and glanced at Patrick, shocked. I let go of the male and folded my arms across my chest. I didn't know why anyone would want to kill Cami, but I think she might have came across something she shouldn't. "Cami was alive the last time I saw her," I said. "But then again, I didn't see her during last period. Show me."
The male nodded his head and gestured for me to follow him. He started to run towards the room, with Patrick and I following him. "Move out of the Director's way," he called, pushing past people.
Luke stopped me from getting close Cami. "Joes," he said. Worry and pain filled his eyes, and I knew what he was going to say. "Yo-"
"I will see her," I said, interrupting him. "If you don't move, I will force you to."
Luke studied me before sighing and moving out of my way. He didn't say a word, knowing that I would just glare at him.

I walked to where Cami was lying on a podium, and it looked like she was sleeping. A frown appeared on my face, because I could still sense that she was there but trapped. Do you feel that? I asked Ruckur, causing him to hum in agreement. "Are you sure that she is dead?" I asked no one in particular.
"Yes," Luke said. "Why?"
I furrowed my brows, moving closer my friend. "I can feel her," I said, kneeling by her side. "I can feel... this energy source coming from her. It's faint, but I know it's there."
"So, do you think she is alive?" Michael asked. There was a pained look on his face, and I knew that he cared about her deeply, like she was his own child. He placed his hand on my shoulder, and I knew that he need some comfort.
"I think she is," I replied, placing my hand on his and squeezing. "What happened? How did she get like this?"
"Nobody knows," Michael replied. "Nobody has seen her since lunch."
I looked around at my fellow Seers and their Guides. My eyes landed on Reece, and I couldn't help but frown when he looked away from me. "Nobody has seen her?" I asked, turning my gaze to Michael to see him nod. "Where is her Guide? Has anyone found him or her?"
"He's right here," a female said, holding a squirrel. She walked over and handed him over to me.
I stared at him, my gaze taking in his form and the way he looked. There didn't look to be anything wrong with him, and I couldn't help but wonder if Guides were able to feel their Seers pain.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer," he said, holding onto his tail. He smirked, trying to look flirty.

"Did you feel any pain or lightheadedness?" I asked, ignoring the fact that he had tried to act like a human male.
The squirrel shrugged his shoulder. "What's in it for me?"
"I wouldn't grab you by the tail and swing you around outside, yelling 'free dinner'. That is what will be for you if you don't talk," I replied, causing Luke to snort. "Seers can live without their Guide, correct?"
The squirrel huffed and looked at Michael. "Are you going to let her talk to me like this?" he asked.
Michael shrugged his shoulder, smirking. I could tell that he was annoyed with Michael, so he would let me talk to him like that. "Sorry, Murph," he said. "My hands are tied. She is the Director."
The squirrel, Murph, seemed to lose color from his fur and turned to look at me. He squeaked when he saw a smirk on my face and started to shake with fear. His eyes were wide with fear. "S-s-s-orry, D-d-director," he said, bowing. "I-I didn't mean any d-d-disrespect."
"Riiiight," I said, sarcastically. "Now, do or did you feel anything from Cami?"
"When she was in pain, yes I felt it," Murph replied. He frowned and furrowed his furry brows together. "I felt that something was off this afternoon. However, I thought it was gas because I sensed that Cami was alive."
"Would you be dead if she wasn't?"
"Guides do not live without their Seers, Director," he replied. "I would be dead if she was dead."
"Then that means that she is alive," I said, looking at the group around us. I spotted Lupus in the crowd and nodded my head, silently. I could tell that he wanted to talk to me about something.
"Then what happened to her?" a female asked, causing me to look at her. Worry and pain filled her eyes as well as the male holding her. Both of them looked like Cami, and I could tell that they are her parents.
"I don't know," I replied. I turned to Michael and asked with my eyes if there was a spell to go inside her mind to see what happened. When Michael nodded his head, I turned to look at the family. "But, I will find out."
