《Whodunnit ?》Chapter 29 - Killer Workout (Part 2)
Michelle was actually forced to put on a beekeeper suit before she could enter the crime scene. This was because there were still hundreds of bees and wasps still circulating the area that Dan's body was found.
The wannabe actress was very skeptical about approaching the insects, she definitely was not a fan of them. In fact, she spent five minutes considering not even investigating the area before she finally pulled her finger out and got the guts to explore.
The first thing that she noticed was that the area that Dan's body was found in, had tens of bees and wasps nests. So it made a little more sense as of where the insects actually came from.
She then went to work. The actual area of the crime scene wasn't big at all, so she knew that there had to be minimal clues at the area.
Michelle soon noticed that there was a shiny substance on the grass, in the exact place Dan's body was found. She nervously ran her finger along the substance and gave it a quick sniff. It definitely smelt familiar. The color was also peculiar, it was clear-ish. But had a weird substance, it looked very layered. And had a sugary texture.
It suddenly hit her that it was honey. But where had it come from? Michelle knew that she had to look deeper.
After ten minutes, she also noticed that from a hidden path, there was a big set of footprints, along with a few drops of blood. The wannabe actress went to follow the path but it lead into the last known whereabouts and she was hastily driven away by one of the maids.
It was now getting into the last few minutes of the investigation. And Michelle still had no idea how the honey got in the area, yes she knew it could have come from the nests, but the amount of honey on the floor looked like there was enough to fill half a swimming pool. As an avid Christian, Michelle looked up to God. Something she had hardly actually done while at Rue Manor.
As the redhead gently closed her eyelids, and let them rest in the warm breeze of the morning. She felt something hit her on the head, it was some sort of liquid. Using her forefinger, she wiped it off her head and inspected it.
Honey.
"Is honey coming from the sky?" Michelle thought to herself as she couldn't find a reasonable explanation to as of where the honey came from.
Then, suddenly, in the blinding sunlight. A metal object was reflecting the sun towards Michelle in a peculiar position. She knew this was significant, squinting her eyes. She noticed that there was a big bucket. Left hanging in one of the orange trees circulating the area of the crime scene. Michelle soon found the string which was also attached to the same tree, it seemed to be loosened in some sort of way.
When the estate bell rang, Michelle felt happy. She knew that she had some good, vital information which would contribute to Dan's murder case. She just hoped that Reynold got some good information at the mystery area and at the morgue.
-
When stepping into the morgue, Nelson knew that he had to be extra careful. Not only was this the last investigation, but Reynold was going to be right behind him. The minute that Nelson would finish investigating, Reynold would take over for three minutes. And since Reynold was a doctor, Nelson knew he couldn't leave any stone unturned.

Nelson didn't waste anytime lifting the white sheet off Dan's body, immediately exposing the dead man's corpse.
The first thing that the charity worker noticed was that Dan obviously had hundreds of stings from the insects all over his body. Practically from head to toe. However, the stings high on Dan's legs confused Nelson. Was he wearing shorts? Because he thought in his opinion that shorts don't even go that high on the leg.
Wanting to know more, Nelson dived into the evidence bag next to the table which held Dan's dead body.
Nelson pulled out a pair of workout shorts, spandex and very high on the legs as well. Probably to increase speed to be more aerodynamic Nelson thought. However, Nelson still thought they looked pretty down right strange.
"Looks like he went for a workout." Nelson reminded himself. It was no secret to any guest that Dan worked out a lot around Rue Manor. The gym, the great room, his suite. Anywhere.
Nelson then moved back onto the body of Dan. He noticed how the footballer had some sort of yellow tint to his skin now, almost as if he'd been dipped in dark yellow paint and left to dry. Nelson ran his finger along Dan's left thigh and noticed how the substance seemed to be very sticky, and quite thick. It did smell very familiar though.
Growing up as a child, Nelson grew up on a small farm with his parents. And he often remembered this smell when he was little. He would never forget the smell of Honey. Which was heavily produced in his parent's farm before it tragically burned down when Nelson was a little bit older. The smell reminded him of a simpler time, and definitely of a more happier time before the torture of his twisted game and Rue Manor.
The forty-year-old quickly concluded that the honey was used to obviously attract the bees and wasps to Dan's body. But how did the honey even get on him? It wasn't like the honey could get on Dan accidentally, he thought.
Nelson then moved on to the area which was attracting him the most next. Dan's throat and face.
It was extremely bloated. Almost like someone had tried to shove a bowling ball down it (without success) his face was a little less extreme, but it was still pretty bloated and was arraying a mixture of purple and red.
It was clear in Nelson's mind that this was caused by the insects. "That many stings have to make you bloat," he thought to himself.
He then moved on to the next big wound. There was a massive gash on Dan's left ankle. It looked like it had been bitten into by a ravenous creature. Nelson hoped Dan didn't have to suffer through that injury; as it honestly looked horrible.
Just like his face and throat, Dan's ankle was extremely bloated. But this was the worst one yet. The wound was all different colors. Red,orange, purple etc. Considering how there was little to no stings down at that area. Nelson wondered why that was the most bloated area. He would definitely need to catch up on Brianna and see if she knew any of the reasons why.
Nelson tried to find any more wounds on Dan. He flipped him over, and there was hardly anything critical on his back.
Just before one minute was left of investigating. Nelson noticed some sort of debris in his brown, slightly curled hair. This intrigued him, what kind of debris would be in Dan's hair after he was found with bees and wasps surrounding him?

Suddenly, the estate bell rang and Nelson was finished with the morgue for good. Hoping he wouldn't return In a body bag anytime soon at all.
-
Reynold practically ran into the morgue when he was alerted by May the maid that he could start investigating.
He was definitely thankful that he had the chance to investigate two areas. No one else in the game yet had had that luxury.
Dan's body was an interesting one for Reynold. For the first time ever, Reynold knew exactly what had caused the big wounds (and in this case the bloated marks around Dan's body.)
Allergic reactions.
It was the first thing he learned about in medical school. It was the easiest class, it was the easiest pass. Identifying allergic reactions was as easy for Reynold, as taking candy from a baby was.
Of course, Reynold didn't know what Dan was allergic to at all. But he knew, knowing how the killer liked to do things, that it'd probably be revealed in the upcoming riddle. Or, Michelle might have known somehow.
Reynold also made sure to check the stings, to search for any anomalies with the stings. But alas they were all the same. Therefore suggesting that these were all the same species of bee and wasp.
The doctor then moved onto the bags of evidence besides the body. He found workout clothes and it didn't take a genius for them to have obviously belonged to Dan. Reynold kept note that Dan could have very likely gone on a workout that morning/ the night before (Reynold still had no idea when Dan was killed.)
However, before Reynold could check anything more. The estate bell, the doctor did, however, get a quick glance at Dan's grisly ankle injury before leaving. He knew that that was very significant. He knew that in this game, nothing happens by accident.
-
"Welcome back all four of you." Giles's British accent once again echoed in the parlor halls as spoke to the final four.
"As you, all should know. You now have a certain amount of time to discuss what you found in your areas. Remember to pick who you share your information well, as the person you are talking too... could very well be the killer. I will be back later my guests." Giles left the guests in another silence:
The four broke off into their two groups. Nelson & Brianna and Reynold & Michelle.
"You go first." Reynold sighed as he sat down on one of the leather seats in the parlor.
"Ok so to make it quick. The crime scene was obviously where we found Dan's body. There was a massive pool of honey actually where his body was found, I'm guessing there was a ton of honey on him?" Michelle questions her alliance member.
Reynold didn't notice the liquid on Dan at all, but he went along with Michelle's version of events.
"There was a massive bucket up on one of those massive orange trees outside. And the honey was coming from there. From a war away path there was also these really small blood spots along with some pretty large footprints." Michelle was done pretty quickly.
Reynold went next. "At the morgue it was clear that Dan had a massive allergic reaction."
Michelle looked at Reynold in astonishment. "What!?"
"Yeah! I learnt it in medical school. His face and throat were massively swollen."
"So what's he allergic to then?" Michelle asked.
Reynold sighed "I though you would have known. I have no idea." The doctor was definitely regretting not getting to know the footballer better now.
Reynold then explained what he found at the mystery area, which made Michelle almost collapse. Potential help was literally a few metres away.
-
"His last known whereabouts was that little path around the side of the Manor. The grass there was completely obliterated, it looked like someone had drove right through it. Anyway, I also noticed this bear trap right in the middle of the path. It was probably once covered with leaves or something. Anyway Dan definitely trod on it because there was quite a bit of blood around it. And his blood kind of looked a bit orangey."
Nelson pulled a face of surprise. "Oh wow. That poor guy.
"Well at the morgue, there was a ton of honey actually on him."
"Honey!?" Brianna furrowed her eyebrows at the random food object found at the morgue.
"Yeah. I think that killer might have placed it there to like y'know bait the bees and wasps towards Dan. He was wearing his work out clothes too by the way. There was also some sort of debris in Dan's hair, it was like dark grey and white, it was pretty strange. He also had really bloated cheeks and his neck looked like a bowling bowl!"
"So the wasps obviously contributed to that injury?" Brianna questioned.
"I'd say so." Nelson gave a confident nod in his alliance member- and love interests direction.
Nelson waited to talk about Dan's ankle last. "But the biggest wound was on his ankle."
"So that's because of the bear trap then?" Nelson knew that he knew the answer but he just wanted to be sure.
"A hundred percent." Brianna nodded.
Brianna & Nelson actually felt confident for once. They knew that Reynold & Michelle didn't know about bear trap, and that his last known whereabouts looked like a bomb site. So they felt they had a leg up on the powerful alliance couple.
-
Ten minutes after both pairs stopped talking about what they found at their areas, Giles returned.
"Ladies and gentleman, before I introduce the last riddle for this section of the game... I have been instructed by the killer for you all to wear these."
Suddenly, Giles clicked his fingers together in the air. His bones fingers let out a loud crack sound.
Sophie & May came out form the hallway, each carrying two beekeepers suits.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Brianna exclaimed. "I'm not messing up my hair in that thing."
"I guess wearing it twice today wouldn't hurt." Michelle shrugged as she approached Sophie to retrieve her beekeepers suit.
In a matter of minutes, all the final four had their beekeeper suites on, and were ready to start the riddle. Before they could disembark away from the parlour however, Giles made a sick pun- as supplied by the killer.
"Looks like you're all having a bit of a buzz!"
The room went silent.
"Really Giles?" Nelson scoffed.

The First Primordial [DROPPED]
[Story dropped until further notice, I don't currently plan on restarting the story but will leave it as a possible option] During the Creation and before the inception of the Realms, there were 3 beings. Known as Primordials, beings even the God's knew little about that were rumoured to be myths or legends. Follow one of such beings that, given the unflattering name Arthur and the species of Demon, must figure out his place within the realms and find his fellow Primordials. Spending the beginning of creation within what will be called The White Realm then spending an unknown amount of time screwing around in the Demon Realm. Once he finally begins his story, he will be acquainted with a world full of grand vistas, religious nuts and floating rocks which will remove whatever little common sense he had remaining. Of course, there will be no shortage of trouble that will complicate things that (due to a poor ability in making good first impressions) will cause more than a few worlds changing events. These events include the destruction of a church and minor religion, including the death of that religion's God, messing with the reincarnated people and even introducing his own reincarnators along with the slight involvement of a war between the Demon Realm and the Creation Realm. Slow burn story; expect the story to be long with plot being introduced as it goes along. The story will include a main character with an actual mind and personality that will create, learn, and even destroy as the story progresses with an emphasis on what experiencing the other side of most novels, a perspective on that one whimsical god that brings the protagonist from one world to another that is only ever mentioned in the starting chapter. [PS- This will be my first time writing, so advice, tips and critiques will be appreciated. The release schedule is a bit iffy and unreliable but will mostly be every Sunday]
