Ty fell through the sky as the Garuda continued to latch onto Raikou. The gold dragon struggled against their grip.
Athena and I drove after Ty. With Athena's speed, we quickly caught up to him. I reached out for him and grabbed his arm. He tightened his grip on me as I pulled him up onto Athena's back. He sat behind and held onto the back of my saddle.
"Nice catch. Now get me back up to Raikou", Ty ordered as his blue eyes flicked dangerously with white lighting as he looked up at the several Garuda's sinking their claws into Raikou's back.
Without hesitation, Athena and I swiftly flew up above Raikou dodging the Garudas that drove at us. As soon as we were above Raikou, Ty jumped from Athena and laid on Raikou's back using his powers to electrocuting any Garuda that dare hurt the gold dragon.
The Garuda's that were hit by the lightning imminently fell out of the sky, dead.
Ty's lighting ripped through the sky. Thunder rolled as the Garuda screeched in fear. Many of the remaining Garuda fled, however, five either brave or dumb stayed.
They drove at Ty foolishly. Ty drew his sword, lightning erupting from the blade, he sliced the air making an arc of lightning that split the sky and the five Garuda as they fell out of the sky.
As the last Garuda's vanished from view a let out a deep breath I didn't know I was holding.
I looked over at Ty as the wild lightning around him died off. He gave me a warm smile as his bright blue eyes shined brightly putting the sky mild blue to shame.
"Thanks for the catch", He smirked.
"Always, but you owe me", I joked with a smile.
"I'll have to pay that favour back then."
We shared a laugh before Jason stopped us.
" Great, now that that over can we go before anything else comes."

"What else is left", Roy began as he gestured to Ty," He just roasted those birds like nothing."
"I wouldn't be so sure. I've never seen dark creatures fee before useless they were taking orders", Ty wondered out loud.
"Then we should leave. Like now!", Alex urged.
But as if on cue a shrill cry rang in the pale sky.
"Sometimes I hate being right", Ty groaned as he drew he sword once more.
A black shape shot through the clouds around us. The creature moved at blinding speeds. We only caught glimpses of it as it circled us.
Roy's white dragon, Aurora, opened her mouth and let out a blast of ice at the black mass. Its rapid speed made it hard to hit as Aurora's ice only hit the tail end of the black beast. It slowed down just enough for us to make out its form.
The Cockatrice whipped its tail shattering the ice around it. Without the extra weight of the ice slowing it down, it returned to its blinding speed. It continued to circle us like we were its prey and we were.
The Cockatrice turned in swiftly at us. It sliver claws aimed at Alex and Blue. As the Cockatrice earned them Blue opened his mouth and shot an impresses stream of fire at the Cockatrice. The Cockatrice dodged the fire and flew past them its barded whip-like tail striking Blue in the face.
The blue roared in pain as blood poured from the large gashes that littered his face. The Cockatrice circle back at the pair claws aimed deadly.
The blinded blue dragon was at its mercy until a furious jet of deadly ice spikes hit the black bird's body full force.
Aurora hovered proactively in front of the blue dragon and its rider. Looking at the Cockatrice who could see the devastation the ice had caused. Ice spikes impaled themselves across the Cockatrice's black body.

"Alex!", Ty yelled, " Get to the ground. Jason! Go with him and make sure he gets down safely."
"Larisa, you too", He ordered as he faced me.
"No, I'm gonna help too."
"Roy and I will handle this. You're still recovering!", Ty yelled at me desperately.
He was right. My body ached and I doubt I had the energy to summon a flame. However, Athena didn't share my fatigue. My thought flickered back to the night I meet Ty. That night he told me a flamezephyr could break the sound barrier. And I just happened to have one. My plan came together nicely.
I explained my plan to Roy and Ty as the Cockatrice pulled at the ice spikes in its' body with its claws giving us some time for my plan to fall into place.
"Do you really think this is a smart idea?", Ty questioned.
"Nope."
"Good. I'd be concerned if you did."
Roy sighed and said something under his breath. I presumed he was questioning my sanity.
The Cockatrice screeched and grew in rage. It flew at us, claws like spears. Following the plan, Roy and Aurora aimed their ice at the Cockatrice tail. The ice hits its mark. The tail completely was now encased in ice. The extra weight of the ice and inability to move its tail caused the Cockatrice to lose it gracefulness.
Angry the Cockatrice drove at me. Just as I hoped. Athena and I drove down through the sky the Cockatrice close behind. Even with the extra weight of the ice, the Cockatrice was insanely fast.
Reaching the ground level Athena sped up. Athena danced and through the trees, her giant body not touching a single tree as it turned and twisted elegantly. The Cockatrice, however, smashed into the tree squeaked and in rage.
The Cockatrice chased after us as we came to the rocky cliff ahead of us. Rageful, the Cockatrice sped after us. Athena sped up as well. We neared the cliff the Cockatrice only inches away. At the last second, Athena pulled up, her powerful wings never falter as we shot up into the sky.
The Cockatrice, however, slowed by the ice around its tail crashed into the cliff. The cracking of the Cockatrice's bones was drowned out by the sound of sound itself shattering around Athena and me.
We soared straight up into the sky and pass the clouds that spilt around us. Athena and I hovered above the clouds as we caught our breaths.
A ringing filled my ears as blood dripped from my ears.
"Stupid bird. Thinking it could outfly a dragon.", Athena said proudly.
"No one or anything could out fly you, my friend.", I said although I couldn't hear it.
"And don't you forget it."
I could feel the pride radiating off of her as Ty and his gold dragon flew up to us. I saw him say something but I hear nothing.
"What", I yelled.
I saw him smiled and laugh silently as he pointed to his ears. I nodded at him showing the blood dripping from my ears.
He motioned for me to follow him to the ground and I did. On the ground, I saw Alex sitting next to Blue who had bandages on his face.
Ty put his hand on my shoulder and gave me a thumbs up. Signalling that Blue would be alright.
We all rested on the ground for an hour or 3. My hearing had returned by the time we were ready to move again. Roy and Aurora help guide Blue as we flew. It was only a few more hours until we saw Jesus T-posing over Rio de Janeiro.

8 196Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
8 111For the Hoard
Ergo the dragon is enjoying his seasonal hibernation when human explorers from another world invade his lair. Sucked into an unknown land, and reduced to a fledgling dragon by the loss of his hoard; Ergo must struggle to survive in a world that has been utterly subjugated by humanity. More importantly, will he ever get to finish his hibernation!? note: while I ticked the boxes for sexual/traumatizing content, I mostly did that to keep my options open. I don't currently have any planned, nor do I expect it to be a significant part of the story. After all, the main character is literally a dragon.
8 195An Adventurer's Journal
The stories of heroes and legends are the stories of the survivors. Few are the would be heroes that take the time to chronical their trials. Simeon is one of those would be heroes, because when you have no deeds to your name and no one to mourn your loss, then you might as well leave behind some evidence that you tried to make a difference.
