Seconds turn to minutes

minutes turn to hours

hours turn to days

and I honestly can't help myself.

I came up to you today.

And even though it hurt to talk,

it hurt more to feel fat again.

I asked

"kn-know what ipecac is"

You said yes.

I asked

"do you have any"

Your eyes seemed to lighten

and flashed me those rare emotions.

But before you said anything,

I already knew the answer.

So shaking my head,

I walked away,

wishing that I could talk normally

without feeling pain,

wishing that I hadn't asked you,

and mostly

still wishing to be thin.

If I accomplished that,

I'll be fine

I'll be fine

I'll definitely be fine.
