I walked up the stairs in Shawn's condo, heading towards the bedroom as I held two large wedding books in my arms. I reached the door, hugging the books in my left arm to be able to turn the doorknob, then pushed the door open all the way with my foot. I brought the books to the bed, carefully placing them down, then loudly spoke so Shawn could hear me from the bathroom.

"Hey, these books were in the mail do yo-" I looked up, the sound of the bathroom door opening catching my attention. There was Shawn, standing underneath the doorframe, only wearing white Calvin Klein boxer briefs.

He gave me a smirk, slowly turning around in a 360 motion to show off the underwear. "What do you think" His eyebrows lifted up.

"I-" My eyes widened. Speechless about the situation in front of me. "Where are your clothes?"

"You don't like what you see? I thought you loved me" He jokingly pouted, walking towards the right side of the bed and lied down, folding his arms and using them as to support the back of his head on top of the light gray pillow.

"I love what I see" I placed the books on the floor, then sat down on the left side of the bed, next to Shawn. "I'm just confused. Why aren't you wearing any clothes?"

"I have very big news. The hint is right here" He pointed towards the boxers but I decided to mess with him.

"Hmm. Are you trying to get me pregnant?"

His eyes widened. "No. Alana. I'm partnering with Calvin Klein for their new campaign. But" He smirked once again, sitting up, then leaned towards me, his lips about a centimeter away from mine. "I could if you wanted me to"

HIs hazel eyes sunk deep into my dark ones until I broke the distance, kissing his soft pink lips. I smiled pulling away from the kiss. "I would love to have kids with you"

"Really?" Shawn said, surprised by my response.

"Yes. But not yet. Unless" I ran my right hand through his brown, curly hair. "You really really want to"

Shawn chuckled, shaking his head, then leaned towards me for another kiss. "You're such a tease, Alana.

"I'm the tease?! Who just came into the room with nothing but underwear?"

His smile widened. "Fair point. But what's wrong with telling my fiancee about my new project and showing her the lifetime supply of underwear I've received?"

My smile softened at him. "Fiancee. That's the first time you've ever called me that" He laid down once again and I followed him, allowing myself to be cuddled by his toned arms.

Shawn kissed the top of my head as I hugged his bare torso. "I love you" I looked up at him.

"I love you more"

"Karen. I think this is the one" I walked towards the circular platform in the middle of the store, bundles of white fabric in my hands so I wouldn't trip, to look at myself in the mirror. Karen and I were at a bridal shop looking at wedding dresses. She was sitting on a white leather sofa next to the platform.

She put her hands over her mouth, eyes widened. "Alana. You look. Like a princess"

I grinned, looking at myself in the mirror. "Thank you. I don't know if I should get it yet. The wedding's not until next year"

"You guys have a date already?"

"No" I fluffed the dress a bit. "We decided that we want to get married in the summer next year but we don't have an exact date"

"Well. You look stunning in the dress. You should get it and if you find something better, you could always return it"

I twirled around. "Yeah. You're right but don't you think it's a little too much?"

"You're only getting married once, Alana. I'd get it if I were you"

I turned around and smiled at her. "I guess. Let me take a picture and send it to my mom" I went back into the dressing room and took off the dress, putting it back on the mannequin.

Alana:

Alana: What do you think?!

Mom: It's beautiful honey! GET ITTTT

I chuckled at my mother's response and went back out to where Karen was. "Is it a yes?" She asked, eagerly.

"It's a yes" I smiled at her, giving her a thumbs up.

Karen drove me back home to Shawn's condo from our outing. She parked at the front of the complex and got out of the car, helping me unload the things in the back. I opened the trunk and watched her walk beside me. "So" I spoke. "How are we going to hide this from him for a full year?"

She looked at me. "That's a very good question. Um" She stood there, thinking for a bit, then clapped her hands together. "I know the perfect spot! Next to the bathroom in the basement, there's a small closet, almost like a Harry Potter closet. Anyways, Shawn never goes in there because that's where he keeps the cleaning equipment for the housekeepers"

"Good idea! I'll just tell them to that it'll be there for now" I grabbed the dress from inside the trunk, holding it with my left arm. It was in a black protecting bag to keep it clean. I said goodbye and thanked Karen for coming with me and told me she had to go back home for her date night with Manny.

I walked into the building, going into the elevator, and pressed the button for the eighth floor. The door made a ding noise, telling me that I made it onto the floor. I walked out of the elevator and down the hallway to apartment number 8. I grabbed my key from my purse, the dress still on my arm, and opened the door with my right hand.

"Lovebug?!" I said loudly. "Are you home?"

I heard movement coming from upstairs and watched as Shawn ran down the stairs. He ran to me, engulfing me in his arms. I stumbled back a bit, chuckling, then went on my tip toes to plant a small kiss on Shawn's lips.

"Hi honey" He smiled. He eyed the large black garment bag in my arms. "What's that?"

"This? This is something you cannot see until our wedding day"

"You got your dress? Already?"

I nodded my head. "Mhm. I know I was going to wait but it was perfect and I impulsively bought it"

"I wish I could see it. Maybe you could try it on for me?"

I shook my head at him. "Sorry love. I need to store this someplace safe until the day comes. Promise me you won't go searching for it"

He pouted at me. "I promise"

I smiled, squishing his cheeks together. "Alright. Now go upstairs and wait for me"

He obeyed my commands, going up the stairs to the room, while I went downstairs and placed the bag into the storage closet.

I walked into the bedroom and Shawn was lying on the bed, staring at the white ceiling. I walked to the bed, lying down next to him, and cuddled into his side.

"We haven't really talked about the wedding" Shawn said.

I raised my head to be able to look at him. "What do you mean? We talk about it all the time"

"Specific things, I mean. Like where do you want to get married? When? Who do you want to be there?"

"I haven't really thought about it. I wanted to wait to see what you have to say"

"I'm honestly fine with anything. As long as I'm with you, that's the only thing that matter to me"

I grinned at him, resting my head back on his chest. "Well. I've always dreamed of getting married at a garden or vineyard type area"

"A vineyard would be perfect" He smiled then gasped. "What about Napa?"

"Napa. In California?"

"Yeah. Don't they have a bunch of vineyards there"

I nodded my head. "Yeah they do. My parents had their vows renewed there"

"Sounds perfect. What about colors?"

"I was thinking maybe dusty blue, light grey, and white?"

"You've thought a lot about this" He chuckled softly.

"Eh. Just a little" I winked at him.

Shawn and I sat at the kitchen counter, eating pasta we ordered from the Italian restaurant across the street. As I took a bite of my spaghetti with tomato sauce, Shawn said, "What do you think about hiring a wedding planner"

I finished chewing my food then responded. "I was actually going to ask you about that. I don't think we're going to be able to plan a wedding by ourselves"

"Okay, great! Because I hired one and she's coming over in about thirty minutes"

I nodded my head in agreement, finishing the last bites of my pasta. Five minutes later, the sound of the doorbell could be heard from the front door.

My eyes widened looking at time. "You said she was coming in thirty minutes"

"Maybe she's here early. Let me go get the door" Shawn stood up from his seat from the kitchen counter.

"Don't answer the door yet" I whisper yelled.

"Why?" He asked, confused as to why I was panicking.

I motioned towards my outfit. I was wearing one of Shawn's hoodie with nothing but my underwear and my hair was tied up in a messy bun. Not the best first impression.

"Go run upstairs and change. Quick" He continued towards the door as I ran up the stairs and went into the bedroom, scrambling to put on some blue jeans and a shortsleeved white shirt. I ran to the bathroom mirror, untying my hair and brushing it out. I fluffed it a bit then ran down the stairs to the kitchen to see a lady, looking to be around her thirties, with long red hair, and Shawn across from her, looking through one of the ten binders that were spread out on the counter.

"Hi" I said, walking up to Shawn, and shaking hands with the lady in front of me.

"Hi" She said, a smile on her face. "You must be Alana. I'm Lucy"

"It's wonderful to meet you"

"You too! I was just showing Shawn here some ideas for venues and such. You two wanted an outdoor wedding?"

I nodded my head in response. We then spent the next couple of hours, looking through the binders to get some ideas into our heads. This was the start of the long process towards our wedding, the day that we will soon find out to be an interesting one.
