As someone who has come face to face with three Yonkos, been put through several dangerous predicaments, helped to raise an island of children and somehow befriended Liv, it is safe to say you're quite adept in all departments of uncomfortable situations. Sitting across from Sabo and Ace, both radiating needs for an explanation was definitely ranking on the higher side of your ladder of discomfort. Even a sigh could not capture your deep desire to avoid this issue at all costs.

'When did this become an interrogation?'

"What's going on (Y/n)?"

"What happened while I was gone?"

"Why did your card set on fire?"

"Are you in danger?"

"Were you attacked?"

The two were relentless in their questioning and you hadn't even said a word yet. And unfortunately for them, the words you were about to use were the ones they'd probably hate the most.

"....I can't tell you" you answered

"What?" Ace's voice darkened "What's that supposed to mean? Are you being blackmailed?"

"NO! No! It's not like that" you quickly corrected before shaking your head violently "the words came out wrong! I mean I can't tell you yet!"

"Yet?" Sabo perked up slightly

"Yet!" you confirmed "I won't say a word until Luffy arrives, I have to explain it properly to the three of you. Together. That's what I've decided"

'I know that this isn't ideal, but after that talk with Law, I did some thinking. if I can just convince them both to wait a little longer, I know they'll be able to handle the situation better. But I need to overcome their stubbornness.' you clasped your hands together tightly.

"Alright," Ace said

"Luffy will come, and when he does, we'll talk" you reiterated, determined to convince the two.

"Okay" Sabo nodded

"And don't try and..." you faltered "Huh?"

"I wonder how long Luffy is gonna be?" Ace sighed as he rested his arms across the back of the sofa

"It sure will be nice to see him again? I've seen he's been causing trouble for the navy again" Sabo chuckled at the thought

"That sounds like Lu" you smiled, but soon snapped of it and stood to your feet "No! Wait!? You're both ok with waiting!?"

"Well no" Ace shrugged "But you're easily the most stubborn person in the room right now"

'Le Gasp' you gawked with hands-on chest... I mean of all the people to hear it from.

"If you've seriously made up your mind then there's no way we'll be able to force you to do anything else" Ace shook his head "That and I trust your judgement (Y/n)" Ace added thoughtfully "You were always one to take precautions for us, whether we wanted it or not. Am I wrong?"

His face was deadly serious. Anyone could hear the disdain behind his last comment. Yet rather than being mad, his mind seemed more preoccupied? His gaze was fixated on solutions you hadn't even offered problems too, causing him to stare off into space.

You held your tongue, and that said volumes.

"But as I said before" He picked up his glass of water from the table and sharply turned his gaze towards you "I'll wait... for now..."

'Was that a threat?' You felt your body tense

"I also had a feeling that was the case, you haven't changed much" Sabo sighed, as he repositioned himself sofa "but for me, I've only just come back to life in your eyes. For me to start dictating your life would be rather rude, so I'd rather stay in your good books and wait."

'At least Sabo's still reasonable'

"That doesn't mean I'm patient" Sabo's eyes became dull with intensity as he uttered the words "On the contrary, I've already determined the best way to coerce it out of you if Luffy takes too long"

'That was a threat!' You screeched

Sabo caught a glimpse of your gaze and as soon as he did, the unfamiliar vacant staring quickly morphed into that perfect reassuring smile. You almost doubted whether the words he'd just said had even left his mouth.

"But we're not at that point yet" Sabo assured you

"You're both scaring me" you whimpered as the chills raced down your spine.

Everyone turned to look at Ace.

"Are you hungry?" You gasped

Ace let out an embarrassed laugh scratching his head in the process.

"Well, I kinda just remembered how hungry I am?" He admitted

"Are you hungry as well?" You faced Sabo, who was purposely looking in another direction.

" I should've known! You guys always became more intense on empty stomachs" you raised a hand to your head, feeling a bit stupid for not putting two and two together. "Are you trying to make me look like a bad person?"

In all fairness, the two young men had travelled for days on end, worrying about your well-being and all you offered them was a drink, a couple of snacks and a poor excuse to wait for a proper explanation. This was definitely on you. As an ideal housewife, you were slipping.

You sighed and took their empty glasses.

"Go wash up while I start cooking. Dinner should be ready soon" You stated as you headed towards the kitchen "No one! I repeat, No one is allowed to go hungry in my house" you proclaimed.

Ace hopped over the sofa and gave you a quick hug from behind, careful not to cause you to drop the glassware.

"Awesome!" He grinned before running off to wash up, with Sabo following close behind.

"Ace! Help Sabo find his way around!" you called out before tying back your hair and getting ready to start.

------------------------------------------------------------

Dinner was a feast, mostly featuring different kinds of bread and pasta-based dishes. The bread was your speciality and pasta was quick so it was a natural choice considering you'd need to produce a lot of food on the fly for the fine gentlemen in your establishment. You took the challenge without complaint and executed it with flying colours. By the time the two were back, dressed in the comfy clothes you'd left in the spare rooms, all they had to do was help you carry the last few plates to the table, and Ace happily volunteered to keep the fire going.

During the whole meal, there were only more stories to tell. And strangely enough, a lot of the conversation was about Luffy and his wild antics. The atmosphere was pleasant, even when Ace fell asleep and face planted the table which made you scream.

'I completely forgot about that'

"I don't think he's gonna wake up from this one" Sabo speculated. "I'll take him up to bed"

Travelling with Ace prior to the is arrival on the island, made him aware of these new habits. So he was used to it at this point.

"Ok" you smiled, watching him fumble around before hoisting his brother onto his back. "You should go to sleep as well, you've been travelling a lot and it's already quite late"

Sabo glanced your way. He thought for a moment.

"Right," He said heading up the stairs with Ace on his shoulders.

With both of them out of sight, you got straight to clearing the table and tidying the dishes. Piling the plates by the sink, you turned on the tap and let the water heat up before plunging the first dish in to wash. Then you went for another, and another, and another. The process continued till another pair of hands snatched up a plate you were about to grab and began washing alongside you.

"Sabo!" You yelped "What are you doing here? I thought you went to bed!"

"Couldn't sleep" he replied stubbornly, washing the dishes

"Did you even try?" You frowned

"No" He shrugged and went to another plate "What are you gonna do about it?"

This was a jab. A pointless jab, but a jab nonetheless. After a few seconds of you opening and closing your mouth to say something that just didn't seem to convey the right level of annoyance, you settled for a huff.

"...It's rude to snatch" you pouted reaching for the next dish.

"I'll keep that in mind" He smiled to himself victoriously.

The sound of bubbles and scrubbing with the occasional comment filled the kitchen. It made you feel comfortable. Just like home.

'I can't go back to the hospital'

After watching the older Charlotte siblings and Liv rain down icy wrath in the form of sweet well crafted balls and throw them with the force of a thousand elephants, you'd decided to spend your first day in the snow with the younger Charlotte siblings. After all, the older ones seemed to be getting into it. World War Snow - Boys vs Girls.

'Snowball fights are scary' you concluded

"(Y/n)!" Anana called "Let's build a snowman"

"A snowman?" you repeated curiously.

"You don't know what a snowman is?" the twins floated over

"I don't think they mentioned it in any of the books we have at home... Is it a type of summoning ritual?" you shivered

The twins laughed to which flambe and pudding shoved them out the way.

"Ignore them (Y/n), it's just something fun to do"

"Yeah! It's easy! I'll show you!" Anana interrupted, dragging you to the ground. "First you've got to make a ball from the snow"

"I'm out!" you shot up "I'm not trying to die today"

"It's not for throwing, it's for the snowman body" Pudding explained. "You roll it in the snow to make it bigger than you do it again for the head"

"Oh? I can do that" you relaxed and knelt back down to mould the snow/ice cream.

As you were getting started, the playful battleground of snowballs had now become deadman's land. At first glance, it would seem like everything was normal and that there was a lovely open space of untouched snow, but unfortunately for Mont-d'Or (Who'd arrived late for business reasons), that was not the case, because as soon as he set foot on the peaceful plains of ice cream, four snowballs were launched from all different secret locations. This coincidently sprung a trap (made from candy), which then triggered another onslaught of ice-cream war. The charlottes were running at each other on this makeshift battlefield and instead of snowballs they now had snow spears, snow swords, snow boxing gloves, and snow whips 'don't ask'. Even Brulee had set up mirror traps and points so that she could throw snowballs in all directions, whilst Cracker had coated his biscuit soldiers in the snow (which was allowed for some bizarre reason) and used them for war. All the Charlottes - and Liv - were going all out.

And of course, it seemed to be boys vs girls. Compote was leading the charge with Liv and Smoothie on either side whilst Katakuri and Perospero faced them off with Oven and Daifuku on the other. A competitive fire was blazing in their eyes.

'They're just pretending' you reminded yourself 'They aren't actually trying to kill each other'

After a couple of minutes of pushing and a lot of guidance from the younger ones, you successfully made the base of your snowman. And a delectable one at that.

"He's so cute" you beamed "But I feel like something is missing"

"That's because we still need to make him look good" Anana crossed her arms

"We got the stuff" Flambe and the twins came back with some scarves, chocolate twigs, wafers and giant choc-chips.

"Yay!" Anana threw her arms in the air and ran for the first pick "Now the real fun begins"

"That wasn't the fun part?" you tipped your head to the side in confusion

'I did all that hard work and it wasn't in the name of fun?'

"Well it was part of it" Pudding explained "But now you need to give your snowman a face and personality, and dress him up"

"...And we'll be using those?" you pointed to the pile of bits and bobs.

Pudding nodded. As someone who'd worked with a lot of kids, you were familiar with bits and bobs and completely understood the assignment.

"Say less" you grinned before sprinting over and rummaging through the pile right next to the kids.

Behind you, the onslaught had now gone to tense negotiations around a snow table, with Liv, Galette and Cinnamon being held as hostages, but the girls had Mont-d'Or, Kato and Raisin. In the middle of the field, they'd made an ice cream table at which Compote and Perospero began their talks. The boys seemed to be doing well in their negotiating especially thanks to Perspero's way with words. If only they knew. Katakuri tried to prevent it but in the end, all he could do was dodge Liv's secret attack, which incidentally ended up stabbing Daifuku in the foot with a snow trident. A snow trident that the girl hostages had snuck past the boys after breaking it into three parts, hiding it on themselves, then re-assembling it whilst inside their sweet candy prison. An uprising had started from within the boys' camp and they were fighting on two fronts. There was nothing they could do.

You wiped away the sweat, which was weird because you didn't think you could work up a sweat in such a cold place. You grinned at your new creation, a snowwoman. What was the reason for a snowwoman and not a snowman, simple, you couldn't get the hair right and it frustrated you too much to continue. Instead, she had choc-chip buttons and an (f/c) scarf. You made a flower crown made from sherbert and wafers, and her arms were positioned in the way of a hug. It was perfect.

Beside it Anana and pudding had made smaller snow sculptures, Puddings having three sherbert pretty eyes and Anana's holding a knife.

'I'm not even surprised anymore'

They all looked great.

"Those look nice" Gallete commented behind us

You squeaked in surprise and Gallete laughed, "Looks like you're enjoying your snow day"

"I am, but are the others alive?" you asked

As you turned to look behind, It was clear that the girls had won this battle, but even still a lot of them were tired and sitting around in the snow trying to catch their breath. The kids seemed to think that meant it was safe to enter the battlefield and rushed over to their elder siblings to show off what they'd made. You also joined them, but mostly to make sure that the people lying down in the snow still had a pulse.

"They're fine" Liv nudged you "And even if they weren't the snow would preserve them so we don't have to worry about cleaning the mess"

"She means that we have medics in our family so you don't need to worry" Katakuri corrected

He was sat in the snow with his knees up and resting on his arms. It was evident that not a trace of ice cream on him, apparently he was untouchable to the end. But because he wouldn't hurt his siblings enough to overpower them all he chose to surrender. Next to him, an ice cream trident was propped against a tree.

"Oh look!" Liv was practically glowing "I think Daifuku is seeing one of those medics about his foot injury"

She then ran off in the direction with pure delight.

"This was bound to happen" Katakuri looked down at you

"I apologise in advance" you sighed.

"Did you enjoy making your snowwoman?" He asked

"I did!" your (e/c) eyes sparkled "She looked so...How did you know it was a woman?"

"Lucky guess"

'I don't believe that for a second'

"Were you keeping an eye on us?"

"If you enjoyed making the snowman then you'll love snow angels" Katakuri changed the subject.

"Snow angels?" your eyes sparkled at the thought.

Katakuri sweatdropped at the sight. You were being so easily swayed due to the excitement of your new surroundings. It was slightly worrying.

"Fall into the snow" He instructed

You did it immediately. Again, Katakuri's concern for the amount of trust you put in him lingered.

"Ah! Do you think Perospero will be upset about the jacket he gave me!?" you panicked

"No, I'd consider it an improvement" he grumbled "No, I'd w spread your arms and legs in and out multiple times" he explained "then carefully stand up without disturbing the snow around you and take a look at your snow angel"

You lay still for a second, trying to adjust to the cold setting on your back. Kata was almost certain that you'd hurt yourself when you'd fallen into the snow, but all doubt was removed when you began to flap wildly, giggling like a madwoman.

After a minute you hopped up, shook off the snow and turned to face your snow angel. It was beautiful.

"I'll pass"

"Kata, It's so pretty" You beamed "You need to-! Why!?"

"To create a snow angel, that requires me to lay on my back, and that is something I will never do around my siblings" He concluded "It means I've lost"

You pondered on what he'd said for a moment. In truth, even when he'd fallen asleep in the bakery, he did so, sitting up, though you'd assumed that was due to the lack of space. Kata was always on guard, not in a paranoid way, but in a protective manner. You'd considered it to be the consequences of being able to see the future.

Despite this, you also noticed that Katakuri was able to smile a lot more with his siblings, even if it was behind the scarf. It made you a bit envious seeing what a family was like.

"I understand" you nodded carefully hopping away from your Angel and into your

"But next time you suggest something it should be something we can do together. It'll be more fun that way" you beamed behind your jacket.

Katakuri was grateful for the snow. He knew the words that were coming but as usual, he still wasn't used to responding to them. So he was thankful to the snow for being an excuse for his flushed cheeks.

"I-I'll keep it in mind" he coughed.

"(Y/n)! It's ice-skating time?" Pudding called to you from across the field

'...It's what?'

During the entirety of the snowball fight, Katakuri kept a 'watchful' eye to make sure that now stray snowballs hit his siblings or (Y/n). Hence, his knowledge of the type of snowman (Y/n) was making and his supposed reason for not winning the snowball fight against the girls.
