After your absolutely wonderful meeting with Doffy, you were literally prepared for anything. That was... until you remembered that the universe was very creative and you could never prepare for anything. He'd taken your rejection, to his very generous proposal, a lot better than you'd imagined, so you were grateful for that. A couple of weeks have passed and you were able to just laugh it all off now.
"You're very lucky Claire!" You winked at her. "You managed to snag the last of the velvet"
"What can I say (y/n) I'm just lucky" she giggled. "By the way... are you sure that no more cute blondies are coming back anytime soon"
'How did Killer and Doflamingo manage to have this big of an impact on my female customers' You sighed.
"I'm pretty sure Claire" you smiled as you passed her the desired velvet cake.
"Well ok... but if a cute blonde does appear just remember who to call" she smiled mischievously as she ran out into the pouring rain.
You shook your head and giggled. "What am I gonna do with that girl?"
You walked up to your front window and watched the rain lash down unforgivingly even though there were no visible clouds. One of the loveliest things about your island was the fact that no matter what the weather was, clouds aren't visible. You can always see the sky.
It'd been a pretty long day and since it was raining season, you decided to close early and call it a wrap. You had to get back home before the weather got too dangerous to go out in. Bowls were placed to the side, flour in the back. Eggs, milk, and butter were tucked safely away in the cooler. You started to sweep whilst humming a little tune.
*Ding-a-ling*
'Shoot! I forgot to switch the sign to closed!' You mentally face-palmed. 'It's chucking it down out there... who would bother coming all the way out here with the weather like this.'
"I'm sorry, but we're about to close" you trailed off as you turned to face a handsome and drenched giant crawling through your door.
This extremely tall, muscular man with short magenta hair and two symmetrical scars on his face. He was dressed in ripped leather and had a massive ragged scarf that covered his mouth to his shoulders. His bare chest was exposed and glistening from the rain outside.
'That's it! I'm funding a school for young males on how to button a shirt'! You sighed making a mental-note. 'You have gorgeous bodies we all get it!'
You watched as he raked his hand through his damp hair before adjusting his scarf.
"I'm not here as a customer..." He confirmed as he finally made it through your door and His sharp, intense, crimson eyes, burned through your own (e/c) ones.
"Oh... Right... Then... Who are you?" You smiled awkwardly.
He gave you a very surprised look, one that you had become very familiar with, as of late. It was the kind of look that said 'you don't know who I am? Do you live under a rock or something?' You slowly started to piece things together and that's when the light-bulb in your head switched on...
'No way! Is he the Big mom representative!?' Your eyes widened as you thought about the description Liv had given you. 'He's definitely tall... but I seriously have no idea who this man is'
"My name is Charlotte Katakuri, the second son of the charlotte family, one of the three sweet commanders and Toto land's minister of flour. I was sent here to meet a baker" He explained.

"Wow, quite the titles you got there..." you breathed in awe. "I'm (Y/n), just (Y/n)"
"Am I correct in assuming that you are the baker?" He continued.
"Yes," You confirmed in pride.
Unlike Doflamingo where everyone was surprised that you were a female Katakuri just easily accepted it and moved on. It was nice to be accepted in your field without having to defend yourself. While you were appreciating being acknowledged, Katakuri glanced around your bakery, eyeing some of your cakes and loaves of bread.
"That makes things easier. You need to come with me" Katakuri stated.
"Wait! what!?" you took a few steps back "I am not going anywhere with you" You informed, though you could feel yourself shaking.
It was clear that your last meeting with Doffy had made quite the impression and you weren't about to re-live it. Although, this man seemed a lot stronger than Doflamingo's henchmen. It was like you were being launched right back to that scenario. Katakuri stared at your defensive position. You were fine with him just moments ago, so something he'd said must've triggered a comparison.
"I am not that man" Katakuri stated. "What would you need to come willingly?" He asked, his voice was deep and rich like melted chocolate.
"I won't go with... You're giving me an option?" You whispered, confidence slowly coming back to you.
"Providing an alternative route to my goal" he clarified.
"But you're still gonna try and take me away" you sighed.
"Naturally. Failure is not an option, no matter what the job."
"Failure helps you grow-!" you countered.
"I would much rather die than fail," he said coldly.
"Then you're a fool!" You calmly stated as you stormed round to the back of the store.
Even though he knew what you were going to say, your outburst took Katakuri by surprise. You had the nerve to call him a fool even after he'd just explained who he was. No one in your position would even dream of doing that, but here you were. telling a sweet commander what to do and turning your back to him and storming off. He was furious, his eyes becoming hard and cold.
"Do you have any idea-!" he growled but halted when you came back with a pile of towels in your hand.
"Here! You need to dry off before you get sick" you held up the three towels towards him, his eyes riddled with confusion. "I don't get guys but one thing I hate is their stubborn pride. You all think failure is the worst thing that has ever happened, and you should die as a result. But you shouldn't die just because you've failed, the real men are the ones who live through failure and learn! You said that you were the second son right? So that means you have siblings. I bet they wouldn't want you to throw away your life for something a stupid mistake. I know I wouldn't want that for my friends!" you huffed.
Katakuri was even more dumbfounded than he was before. Now you were lecturing him for his well-being? Why would you worry about someone almost three times the size of you who you'd never met before? It made no sense. You made no sense, and that was not good. For someone who takes pride in his efficiency, you were becoming a new hazard.
"I don't have any towels in your size but I'm pretty sure that these will work just as well" you continued as you held out the towels.

"I wasn't wondering" He stated
"If you're wondering why I have these, it's because I normally use them on my boys who often like to play in the rain and..." you gave him a surprised look. "How did you?"
"I don't need those, what I need is for you to come with-"
*Crack*
You jumped and shrieked when the thunder hit. You were so focused on your discussion that it took you by surprise.
"S-sorry..." you blushed from embarrassment.
"Damn... We're too late" Katakuri cursed as he sat down and made himself comfortable.
"Too late?" you raised a brow
"We should've left before the thunder. We would've made it safely back to the ship but now that you've wasted time I can't see any possible ways of leaving here safely till morning"
"And how would you know this?" You asked curiosity dancing in your eyes.
"I have Kenbunshoku Haki" he answered.
You stared at him completely blank-faced, blinking a few times. He looked at you and sighed.
"It means that I can accurately predict the movements by looking slightly ahead into the future" He explained.
"Oh wow... You can see the future" You stared at him, eyes filled with wonder. "But if you can see the future then why did you come here in the rain? You could get sick? Unless you have the ability to dodge raindrops you shouldn't risk your health for a quick meeting" you lectured him unconsciously.
Katakuri was now sat down patiently waiting for you to stop ranting at him. It was new to have someone in your position worry about him, so he decided to leave you to it.
"You said earlier that there is no way we can leave safely right?" You confirmed.
'His future sight is so useful. I wonder if he's included us going back to my place as well?' You pondered.
"I have taken into account going to your place safely and the result is the same" he answered plainly.
'So efficient... Wait am I really that easy to read?! Did I already ask that in the future?!' You shook your head slightly and thought it best to focus on what you could do. 'Focus (Y/n)! Just remember to analyze and apply'
Katakuri observed with intrigue at your attitude towards the situation and how determined you were. He'd purposely told you about his ability with the intention of intimidating you to behave but it completely backfired and made your eyes sparkle with curiosity.
"Well seen as how you're staying there is no excuse why you can't dry off" you placed the towels beside him and locked the door. "I'm sure your future vision will be able to tell you that I won't back down until you do" you smiled.
Katakuri seemed almost hesitant at first, but in the end, he caved in and took the towels, earning a small smile from you.
------------------------------------------------------------------
A few hours have passed since you had been trapped in your bakery with the handsome giant. Just as he'd said the rain had gotten much worse since the thunder began. Anyhow you had tried to walk back to your home you would've either ended up sick or the path would've flooded. Katakuri had made himself comfortable at the front of the bakery sat down with his back against the wall. It seemed to be the perfect fit. Though he seemed to be very distracted.
'Of course, he's gonna be distracted! He's trapped in a bakery with some random girl and probably missing home!' you reasoned as you started to bring out some blankets and pillows.
You had prepared for a scenario like this for your boys in case they ever got trapped in the raining period. Obviously, you hadn't predicted that you would end up staying in here with a giant.
"Why aren't you scared of me?" He finally broke the silence
'Wait... Is that what he was thinking about? Is this a common question for the powerful people?' you giggled in amusement.
"Should I be?" You couldn't stop the smile growing on your face.
He watched you laugh at his serious question. "I'm not exactly..." he trailed off "...Most people think that I'm a monster by this point..." He was looking at you, but you could see that his thoughts were elsewhere.
"Well, I guess I'm not most people" you smiled sweetly. "From what you've shown me you're not a monster, you're just very efficient, so your actions come off as harsh or blunt. But that doesn't make you a monster. And I'm sure that there are many people out there who would agree with me. You're not a monster to me"
Katakuri flushed from your examination of him averting his gaze away from you to avoid you bringing it up. He was used to being so composed but your words seemed to be bringing chaos to his thoughts. This wasn't like him at all. He was supposed to be calm, composed, not swayed by simple words. But you were so sincere, he'd told himself so many times that the only people who could be like this were his siblings.
'No' He thought 'I must've misunderstood her analysis'
He was about to ask for clarification, his stomach finally started to protest. Both of you stared in silent surprise for a split second, but the silence was brought to an end by your sweet laughter. You'd mistaken his rumbling for thunder.
"... Doughnuts" He stated.
"What would you like to ea-? Wait what?"
"Doughnuts, You're a baker, right? make them" He demanded
"Whoa whoa whoa... I know how to make doughnuts but you need to learn how to ask for them"
"Now" He growled.
"It's pronounced please" you corrected with folded arms.
Lecture mode was kicking in at the worst possible time and it was going to get you in trouble if you weren't careful. Both you and Katakuri were having a staring competition. Neither of you showing any signs of backing down. That was until Katakuri let out a heavy sigh. This was clearly going nowhere for him.
"...Please" he grumbled.
"Was that so hard?" you smiled though he shot a glare at you as if to say don't push him.
'This is going to be an interesting night'-----------------------------------------------------------------------
[A little bit extra]
"(Y-y/n)?" Luffy sniffled quietly as he poked his head into your area of the treehouse.
"Luffy? What's wrong?" You muttered.
It was the middle of the night and everyone was resting or should've been resting.
"It *Sniff* It happened again..." He uttered quietly.
Luffy suffered from horrible nightmares. He'd wake up screaming or fighting and crying. Each one was more vivid than the last. What could you expect though? He was kidnapped by mountain bandits and almost drowned. He witnessed his idol lose an arm for him. And soon after was forced to fend for himself in the jungle day and night by his grandfather. No wonder he couldn't cope. Before you came along Sabo and Ace wouldn't know how to handle him so Ace would just tell him to man up, while Sabo would just sigh and go back to sleep. Sympathy was never the strong point between these brothers, which Is why you were needed. The normal remedy was sitting next to him and humming a lullaby.
"Alright, Lu..." You rubbed the sleep from your eyes and started to sit up, but Luffy shook his head. "Which song should I do tonight?" You smiled weakly
"(Y/n) *Sniff* Can I *Sniff* sleep with you tonight?" He whimpered.
'Maybe I'm still sleepy and I didn't hear that correctly' you told yourself.
You slowly turned to look at Luffy questionably but was instead faced with your arch-nemesis, teary-eyed Luffy. He was clutching his small blanket and hiccupping every so often. You could see that he was trying his best to hold back his tears, a little snot attempting to leave his nostrils. You were powerless. His quivering lower lip and his glossy eyes on the verge of breaking their banks. Every time he used this face you couldn't even get upset. He had you wrapped around his finger in this state.
'Great! not only did I hear correctly. There is no way I can physically say the word no to that face...' You sighed in defeat and raised your blanket.
"Alright, Luffy...I guess there isn't too much of a problem. But you have to be quiet ok? I'm sure your brothers won't mind" You smiled as his face lit up.
He didn't need to be told twice as he dashed into the makeshift bed with you and snuggled up close. Even now you could still feel the cold sweat on his skin from the fright he'd just experienced. Once he was in, you carefully tucked the blanket around him and laid back down making yourself comfortable. You started to play with his raven hair to soothe him as he was still quietly hiccupping.
"Do you want to tell me about the dream?" you whispered.
"It was the jungle one again..." Luffy muttered, quivering slightly at the memory.
You were well aware of that nightmare. Luffy alone in the dark jungle, weird noises coming from all around. Piercing red eyes peering at him from the shadows. No one can here him when he cries for help, and then the monsters lunge at him and he wakes up. It was torture for him.
"(Y/n)?"
"Yes, Luffy?"
"Can you sing Bink's sake again?" He looked up to you with big round hopeful eyes
"sure Lu..." you yawned a little and tiredly hummed the song.
"Gather up all of the crew!
It's time to ship out Bink's brew!
Sea wind blows. To where?
Who knows?
The waves will be our guide!"
Luffy was already snoring in your arms, his head resting near your chest so he could still feel the vibrations of the song in his chest. You felt the need to conclude the verse for your peace of mind.
"O'er across the ocean's tide,
Rays of sunshine far and wide,
Birds they sing of cheerful things, in circles passing by!"
Slowly your heavy lids started to fall. Both you and Luffy snuggled into each other. You began to drift off as you hummed the yohohohos. Between the snores of a certain rubber boy a little 'thank you' was uttered, as a small smile made its way onto his face.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
"WHAT THE HELL?!"
"WHY IS LUFFY SLEEPING IN HERE?!"
"Geez, guys he just had another nightmare. Leave him be" You sighed as you attempted to calm Ace and Sabo.
Both of them had woken up with a fright cause they couldn't find Luffy. They didn't want to worry you so they even went out into the jungle to search for him they didn't find him because he was snuggled up next to you. When they finally came back to tell you the horrible news, the brothers were taken aback to see Luffy comfortably sleeping in your arms. Unfortunately, that surprise quickly turned to anger.
"We built this separate part of the treehouse specifically for you! There is no way we are just gonna let him sleep in here with you! That's not fair!" Sabo exclaimed
"Sabo's right!" Ace added
You looked between the two fuming brothers. "...Not fair?... You mean the fact that Luffy got to sleep next to me?"
A realization struck the two brothers. The colour red carefully climbed up their faces and they quickly averted their gaze. With both of them stuttering and sputtering excuses, you couldn't help but laugh.
"If all you guys wanted was for me to sleep next to you, you should've just asked as Lu did. I only need my private space for getting changed and first aid. Besides I mostly get changed at the bakery anyway" you smiled.
At this point, both boys were as red as tomatoes. Sabo had both hands to his face complaining how 'that wasn't the point' and Ace was just sputtering and looking at everything but your eyes. Just another thing to giggle about.
"Is breakfast ready?" a sleepy voice interrupted.
"WHY THE HELL WOULD IT BE?!" Ace roared.
"Oh, Ace... Sabo... morning! Why don't you have breakfast?" Luffy innocently asked.
"I'm gonna permanently put you to sleep!" Ace clenched his fists and started to walk over.
"I think I can help you with that" Sabo pulled down his hat.
"Agh! (Y/n)! Stop them! They're gonna kill me!" Luffy screamed as he dashed out the treehouse.
