In which Otis doesn't realise how perfect he really is...
Otis and i were chilling in my motel, he was smoking as always. I tried to get him to quit but his dad encouraged him to do it again. Otis only ever smokes when he's stressed, so i turned to him and ask; "whats wrong?"
"Whats wrong" Y/n asked, his/her/their eyes filled with worry and concern. I took the cigarette out of my mouth before looking at him/her/them. "How'd you know somethings wrong?" I questioned, he/she/they smiled sadly and took my hand. "You and i both know you only smoke when you're stressed" he/she/they explained. I looked away...
I loved that Y/n remembered small details about me, nobody ever cared like he/she/they did. I sniffed and smiled a little, but it was fake. I put my cigarette out before throwing it away. "Nothings wrong, I promise..." he/she/they gave me an uneasy look. "Otis...please tell me" i lookedback up at him/her/them and saw in his/her/their eyes that he/she/they genuinely wanted to know.
I sighed and leaned my head on Y/n's shoulder. "Its my dad...he wants so much from me. Telling me how to act, making fun of the way i look and shit like that..." my voice cracked, i just hoped he/she/they didn't notice...but- of course he/she/they did.
"Otis, look at me" i heard him/her/them say.
I took my head off Y/n's shoulder and looked into his/her/their eyes, my tears making my vision blurry. And when one of them fell, Y/n wiped it away. "Otis, i just want you too know that you're the most perfect boy in the world. You dont need to get to anyones expectation, you dont need to act how others want you too...Otis- you're perfect in every possible way. If you can't see it then, god knows...i dont know why?!" He/she/they explained.

I smiled, feeling a lot better. Y/n never failed to make me happy. He/she/they always found a way to make my day better, I'm forever grateful for him/her/them. I let out a small sob and pulled Y/n into my arms, hugging him/her/them gently. "I love you Y/n, i really, really do" I confessed. Instead of Y/n hesitating, he/she/they were quick to reply...
"I love you too Otis Lort..."
After i said that, I realised that Otis had soon fallen into a deep sleep in my arms. I smiled and rubbed his back lightly before carefully laying us both down on my bed, his head gently laying on my chest. I ran a hand through his perfect, curly and brunette hair.
"I hope you soon realise how perfect you are without me having to explain it Otis...you're truly amazing" I whispered softly and not long after, I fell asleep too.
