Not long after Emmett left, Evelyn decided to leave too, to get me some medication for my foot. Marcus was about to follow Evelyn out of our safe place but i was quick to grab his wrist. "Dont leave" i whimpered and he cupped my cheeks before whispering "Im just going to talk to my mum" he reassured in a whisper before kissing my forehead and climbing up the ladder.
I sat on the bed, fiddling with my fingers, trying my best to ignore the pain in my foot. Marcus soon returned and picked up his baby brother and cradled him in his arms before sitting beside me. It was all quiet, Marcus occasionally hushed the baby in a soft tone. But soon enough, i heard his beautiful singing voice as he sang to the baby:
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray..you'll never know, dear, how much I love you...please don't take my sunshine away" his voice was quiet and gentle, it made my eyes close and my head leaned onto his shoulder. It was there for long though, Marcus handed me the baby and stood up, grabbing a torch on the way, before heading to the opening.
I stared at him in panic, my eyes begging him not to leave. He slowly walked back over to me and cupped my face. "I'll be back, breathe" he whispered to calm me down. I shook my head but he grabbed my hand from under the baby and held it. "I wont be gone long, i'll never leave you for too long" he informed but my lip quivered.
"I cant lose you.." I whispered, my voice cracking a little but my boyfriend pressed a gentle kiss to my lips before resting his forehead on mine. "Y/n, I promise i'll be back in 5 minutes..." he mumbled, his lips grazed mine as he spoke. I let out a shaky sigh before nodding a little. Marcus took his hands away from mine before pressing a kiss to each one.

As he got to the ladder, he turned to me before smiling. "I love you" he signed and i smiled too. "I love you too" I mouthed back and i saw the blush form on his cheeks before he climbed the ladder..god i hope he stays safe...
Its been more than 5 minutes, i put the baby in the box, covering its mouth to give it oxygen. My hands were shaking and soon Marcus arrived back. "GET IN THE SAFE!" He yelled and i nodded, grabbing the box with the small newborn and rushing to the safe. Marcus grabbed his radio and headphones as i noticed a creature pushing its way into the safe. Before it could get to us, Marcus climbed in and slammed it closed.
My breathing was heavy, the curly haired boy pulled me to sit on his lap and rocked me back and forth a little before opening the box with his brother in it. "You came back" I whispered, checking him for any wounds. He chuckled before kissing my cheeks. "didn't i?" He whispered before kissing me. I smiled into the kiss and soon pulled away for air...but we didn't receive any.
Marcus rushed to the box and took the baby's oxygen mask off him, placing it to his mouth, then to mine and back to the babies. We had to share the last bit of oxygen we had left, my hand was clutching onto Marcus's. God knows what will happen now...

Across the Realms [Dropped]
Disclaimer: I'll leave this on here for anyone to read. The last time I uploaded a chapter was nearly a year ago, and to all the readers who still kept their trust in me after I came back from my umpteenth hiatus, I am sorry. I will not carry on writing this; I started off without the correct foundations of a novel, nor commitment to fully finish it and I do not want to lie to you all once again. Maybe one day, I may decide to re-write the novel, with a new basis or at least a comprehensive starting point with many of the narrative errors cleared up; but, till then, this is goodbye. And, once again, thank you for the motivation you gave me. Even now, I see many emails come through with people commenting. Goodbye. A child blessed by the Astral. An unprecedented destiny. Watch his path, as he marches up the stairway of Heaven. A March of a Sovereign. [Adventure, Wuxia, Martial Arts, Fantasy] This is a Qihuan novel; it has eastern and western fantasy elements. More often than not in Xianxia or Xuanhuan there is a severe lack of character development, being a western writer I'm changing that. My characters, from my totally unbiased view, feel fleshed out and actually have emotions. This is my first attempt at a novel, I'm writing as a means to better convey my thoughts. I will, hopefully, steadily improve chapter-by-chapter. I'm very open to feedback and constructive criticism. As one can see this is a cultivation novel, so you know how this goes. I've decided to jump-start the whole rags-to-riches scenario. He is strong from the start and is given the utility to do so. *The cover art is not my own, all rights reserved to the owner. I will take it down if necessary. *The style of the recent chapters is comparatively different than Chapter 1.

Dragon Rises
In the year 1058 of the Aphax Calendar, a grand war between the realm of dragons, Shas, and the human country called the Linsian Empire. The empire had managed to push back the dragons through the use of ancient magic that stole the souls of many dragons, and cursed them to mortal bodies, ready to be slaughtered. A hundred years later, once the war had ended, the dragons are left to rule over three sanctuaries, hidden from the Empire with their dwindling numbers. A once stubborn dragon changed his mind. Unwilling to let his ilk die like starving wolves, Victor, cursed like many others to live in a human body, set out. His journey is one that will be followed, told, and recounted through the years for generations after he dies. Schedule: Every Wednesday and Friday. Length: 1,000+ words every chapter. Side-note: This is sort of a test run. If it's received well with the first few chapters, I'll keep going! If not, oh well, I can try something different. ------ Currently on Hiatus

Knights of the Partition
We like to think there are no monsters. No magic, no gods, nothing waiting in the night but the stars and cold, hard science. It’s a comforting thought. It isn't true. Magic isn't common, mind you. Working forces is difficult in the Age of Man, and gods are limited in the ways they interact with the world. The great monsters of old have mostly been slain, or sealed away. But rare or not, the magic isn't gone. The great Working that protects us from the horrors of the past does not have the power to destroy such things. Instead, it created the Partition, a tapestry of worlds beyond the boundary of our own. There the magic roams, searching for a way to come back. I am a Knight of Avalon. One of the protectors of the Partition. How did I get this job? Poor decisions, mostly.
