I laid awake in bed, it was incredibly quiet (i mean obviously-) and dark. I couldn't bring myself to fall asleep, i was scared...but for a good reason! My stomach felt weird, it was butterflies but not the good kind. I sighed and sat up, making my way to Marcus's room.
I slowly opened his door, he was wide awake and reading a book. he soon noticed my presence and smiled softly, waving me over. i walked over and sat on his bed, he gently pulled me into his arms, immediately making me feel safe.
He laid down so we were face to face and signed "whats wrong?" I sighed and signed back "just scared, thats all" he smiled sadly and gently took my hand. He stood up, taking me with him and led us to the soundproof room, so it was easy to communicate. We sat on our sofa bed that we made and he pulled me into his chest again.
"Yknow, its okay to be scared" he whispered and i nodded with a shaky breath. "I know...but i just feel weak" I explained and he kisses my forehead. "Well- you're absolutely brave..and pretty badass" I chuckled at that and he laughed along with me. "Plus, you saved my dad and i the other day, so how could you be weak?" He finished and rubbed up and down my arms and back. "Thank you Marcus" he smiled "No problem Y/n"
"Wanna sleep in here tonight with me?" I smiled and nodded. I nuzzled my face into his neck and he kissed the side of my head. "Go to sleep, i'll be right here, okay?" He murmured. I looked into his eyes and replied "thank you..i love you so much" before falling into a deep sleep. But before i did, the last thing i heard was... "i love you too sweetheart"

"MARCUS!" I yelled, the creature knocked him down and started attacking but Lee soon shot it, causing it to run off. I sprinted towards Marcus and kneeled next to him, taking his hand. He had a cut on his stomach which was seeping with blood.
"Marcus..y-your gonna be okay, i promise" I mumbled, tears fell down but Marcus slowly bought his hand up and wiped them with the pad of his thumb. I melted into his touch like I usually do. "Gorgeous, im not gonna make it" he quietly whispered, his voice was croaking.
"No- No..you are, LEE TELL HIM!" I yelled but the man sadly shook his head as tears of his own streamed down. He looked away, not wanting to see his son in pain while my eyes remained on Marcus and only Marcus. "Please..d-dont leave me" i sobbed and all he said was "I promise, i'll always be here..i love you so much Y/n L/n. Don't forget that" and then he was gone.
I've never sobbed so hard in my life. Marcus Abbott was really gone. He died in front of me. I held onto his hand and rubbed soothing circles into it before i heard a voice...
"Y/n?"
"Y/n wake up!" I shot awake and saw Marcus looking worried next to me. He pulled me into his arms and gently rocked me back and forth. "Calm down sweetheart, I'm right here" he whispered softly, kissing my cheek and lips gently."Y-you weren't!" I sobbed and he looked at me, cupping my cheek. "What do you mean Love"
"Y-you died an-and I couldn't save you.." I cried and Marcus quietly hushed me, rubbing circles on my back. "I'll never leave you Y/n, I promise you that" he reassured in his softest tone ever, it immediately made me feel safe. Most importantly, i knew Marcus was safe, with me. So was the whole family.
As long as Marcus was okay, i was happy. I cuddled back into him and whispered. "I'll always love you" he smiled and kissed my forehead once again. "I love you more than anything Y/n..."
