It was weird...i woke up every morning by myself. normally my sister would wake me by yelling or blasting my favourite song on the speakers. i always said for her to stop doing that..now shes dead- i miss it so much.
i walked into school every day with my friends deena, josh, kate and simon, passing heather's locker...pictures of her beautiful face placed neatly on it. cute notes left from all her friends...and every day i left a small message on there, i didn't even care if i didnt have room, i'd do it anyway.
its like a part of me has left my body, she was my twin sister. the girl who grew up with me, looked like me, cared for me, was there for me. i miss her...if i wasnt sick the day she died- i could've saved her. but now, im here in the book shop by myself. nobody helping, nobody to talk to, nobody to laugh with. i miss heather...i miss my twin...
i sat on my sisters bed, i cradled a locket she gave me in my hand, i opened it up to see a picture of us hugging and smiling. it immediately broke my heart but made me smile at the memories. i rubbed the picture with my thumb and began speaking....
"heather, i miss you so fucking much. you were my best friend, no matter how many arguments we had. no matter how many times we may have said 'i hate you' to eachother, i will always love you big sis...you didn't deserve what came to you. you deserved the best. i should've been there to protect you..i love and miss you heather...." I finished and by the end i was sobbing. tears dropped onto the photo. i would never forget heather, but then again- who would?
