Y/n suffered from short term memory loss, everyone in encanto knew this and some kids bullied him for it. Short term memory loss is forgetting things you heard or did recently and it makes Y/n feel bad because sometimes he promises his friends to hang out then immediately forgets.

He was meant to exercise with Luisa. Did he go? No, because he forgot. Luisa obviously forgave him and offended another session, this time, Y/n's mother reminded him.

He was meant to go on a date with his boyfriend, Camilo Madrigal today, he wrote a small note on his desk to remind him..but as usual- he forgot he had written the note and completely ignored it.

Camilo waited for his boyfriend by the lake where they would have their picnic. He had been waiting for 20 minutes and he figured that Y/n had forgotten. He got up and packed all the things up before heading off sadly. When he got back to the town, he saw Y/n with some of the town kids.

He smiled softly at the sight before heading over. "Y/n" Camilo called for his boyfriend. Y/n hummed and looked at Camilo with a smile. "Oh hey Cami!" He replied and ushered the kids away for some privacy. "Y/n, we were meant to go on a date today, I thought you wrote a note to remind yourself" Camilo teased.

But it made Y/n feel awful.

"Oh god- Cami- i'm so sorry..i- i completely forgot about the note!" He panicked, holding onto Camilo's ruana. "Hey, hey, Y/n, Amor, i'm not mad at you. Its not your fault okay?" Camilo whispered softly. Y/n shook his head. "But it is Cami....i tried so hard to make myself remember but i let you down again"

Camilo's face was filled with sadness knowing his boyfriend thought he let him down. "Baby, no..you didn't let me down. You can't help it!" He reassured and pulled the boy close to his chest. Y/n snuggled into his boyfriend's ruana and held him close. "Why don't we go up to my room and cuddle, yeah?" Camilo felt Y/n nod before he took him to Casa Madrigal.

They spent the entire day napping and cuddling and they both loved every single moment of it.
