(For William who looks like Claude XD Or… Claude who looks like Willia—I DON’T CARE. William was first so, call Claude as Will and Sebby’s lovechild XD lol)
“I don’t suppose that I can even play this game…” You said, turning down Finny’s offer to play. Finny scrunched up his brows, practically begging just by the look on his face. You felt that any moment longer, his lower lip would be trembling and that could send you reconsidering your answer.
You immediately turned away. Sure, it was a rude thing to do but you were really determined to not play the game. And, as if by cue, Sebastian came into the scene with his devilish smile as always. Damn, why does he have to be so HOT?!
“I couldn’t help but overhear Lady ________ turn down the offer of playing…” he was walking towards you. Finny backed away with the bag, having high respect for the demon that was striding its way to your direction. “I say, play… This is a once in a lifetime opportunity…” he whispered sexily in your ear, causing your face to turn extremely red. “And I’m the main event…” You could feel his hot breath touch your ear then went down all the way to your neck, as if they had a spirit of their own and that they knew how to make you melt.
“Ugh, cut it out, Sebastian. It’s disgusting.” Ciel’s voice rang out to save you from your soul leaving your body in the presence of this man a thousand women could die for.
“So… Would you reconsider playing?” Sebastian returns to the subject, taking a step back from you and smiling that same smile he had when he walked in, as if nothing happened.
“Y-Yes…” Your lips trembled. Your heart ached as you said that word but why does your lip crave the feeling of someone else’s against yours so badly? Still not regaining composure of Sebastian’s result on you, Finny guessed that it was high time for you to choose now.
Shaking, your hands hovered above the bag for a moment until it plunged down into the abyss, rummaging in God only knows what’s in there. You felt a very small yet hard object in the bag. It had a very weird feeling on your fingertips and in your gut. Well, it’s small anyway, an easy object to pull out of the bag.
Fwoosh! There it was! A glossy, black comb was in your hands, shining underneath the chandelier light.
Black, black, black. Dear, God, was it Sebastian’s?!

You turned to see Sebastian with an apathetic look on his face. What is the meaning of this stare? He didn’t move as you raised the object. The feeling in your gut sank down to their deepest pit, half-regretting your decision.
“I got a black comb…” you exclaimed, a bit of hesitation in your voice.
No one answered for a moment. No one practically moved. You had to make sure, though. You walked to where Sebastian stood, holding up the comb clearly to his level.
“Th-This isn’t yours?” You asked.
“Unfortunately…. No, Lady ________.” Sebastian answered, giving you a sympathetic look. “And to think I even convinced you that you would get me…”
“So, whose is thi—“
“I can’t believe you talked to that foul demon scum!”
You got interrupted by a stern voice that came from somewhere in the crowd.
“Seems he’s here, my lady…” Sebastian chuckled.
“Don’t touch her, dirty beast.” William stepped out of the crowd, coming into your view. His towering height was enough to make you shrink into extinction. William, without permission, hastily took the comb you were clutching nervously.
“Let’s go.” He said as he grabbed your other hand and, with no emotions, dragged you towards the closet.
“You better not hurt her.” Sebastian added which made you and William stop halfway.
“Don’t worry. I won’t do anything that would even resemble to what the dirty likes of you might do.” William replied, pushing his glasses up to the bridge of his nose as he did so.
With that, no one said a word. Ciel was amused at the debate of the two non-human beings. Now that no one can interrupt, William began again by leading you more aggressively into the closet. This was hurting you, actually and you were trying hard to not make it obvious for Sebastian to find a reason to beat the stuffing out of William.
The closet door closed with the help of Grell wishing his Supervisor a good time. William paid no attention to this whatsoever. He finally lets go of you as the dark occupied every space of the room.
“You’re filthy all over.” He said, a bit of disgust in his voice.
“… I.. I beg your pardon?” you replied, getting a bit offended at his attitude.
“You let yourself be tainted by that horrid creature… You let him… Touch you and… Control you like a puppet on a string…” there was also a hint of hesitation in his tone, as if he was calculating every word that was best for the situation.

“… Ugh! What is it with you and demons?! Particularly Sebastian?! He’s beautiful! He’s amazing! He’s perfec--!”
“HE TOOK YOU AWAY FROM ME!!”
…. What?
You were stunned. Even the dark complemented the mood. It was like you were falling yet standing at the same time into a dark, black void. This has nothing to do with the hatred of demons everywhere, does it? No, this was something… Personal.
“…. I didn’t know what else to do… But watch as he slowly pulled you away with his charms…” he said, his voice getting softer.
Your heart couldn’t take such sadness, especially from the man who you thought rebuffed any kind of emotions except the hatred for demons.
“You… You never even talked to me, William… H-How am I supposed to know?” you replied, tears now weighing down your eyelids. “How was I supposed to…?”
Hurting but inevitable, you let your grief swell up inside of you by the form of tears. You can see his silhouette slouching, as if he was looking down at you. If he was glaring or not, nothing can stop you from crying right now.
“…. But now I know. And I have made a terrible mistake.” He said, returning back to his same posture and tone. “I will never again get my emotions wind up in my work.”
Tears were still falling from the soft features on your face that have caught the attention of a demon and a Grim Reaper.
“Bringing your emotions into your job is a waste of time.” He added. This couldn’t get any worse, right? Now it feels like it’s all your fault.
“… N-NO, IT’S NOT!” you exclaimed, getting tired of all the guilt. You are stronger than this. You can change the situation. It’s time to turn tables. “If you’re just going to blame yourself for this then… I think it really was best for me to go for Sebastian!”
“…… I don’t care anymore. You two can live, filthy and tainted lives for all I care.” You could feel his cold stare drilling into your soul, instilling bitter anguish into your heart. It’s as if Grim Reapers have a certain power to make you feel this way just by glaring.
“DAMN IT! THAT WAS REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY!”
With that, you gripped his arms and stood on your tippy-toes for the most daring act you’ve ever done. Hoping if what you were doing was the right thing, you aligned both of your lips together, feeling that sensation of temporary bliss.
A rush of mixed emotions were on William’s head. Though you were sure he’d just push you away and eventually collect your soul for the Undertaker to condemn. Trusting all your feelings and let your heart take control, you calmed down, hoping to reach out to touch his heart that he kept locked from the world for so long.
Slowly, you could feel his anger melt away into the kiss, leaning down closer to your level to let you know that he has finally forgiven you. You felt something cold drip on your cheek. You might mistake it from your tears but this drop came from above you. Could it be? Was he really crying? You broke away, realizing a whole new William you had never even knew existed.
“…. I’m so sorry, William… I… I love you… Even if you’ll hate me now..” you buried your head on his chest, cherishing every moment you have with him expecting that he’s just going to push you away.
“…. __-_______....” he was on the verge of brushing your hair when the door opened by none other than his rival, Sebastian.
“My, my… Is that a tear I see, O mighty Reaper?” Sebastian cockily commented.
You heard William grunt in anger and storm out of the closet, furiously taking off his glasses and wiping his tears with his sleeve as he dashed off, leaving you in the closet that you spent the most dramatic seven minutes in.
“It would be a privilege if you let me fix you up before dinner…. In my room…” Sebastian said as he offered you a hand. You eyed his hand for a moment, thinking about your decision. It was the hand that had touched and caressed the bodies of women all throughout his lifetime…. You would rather spend an eternity trying to win the hand of a jewel that was rare and would be the ultimate prize if owned.
“I’m sorry, Sebastian…. I’m going after William.” You said, not even looking at his surprised face as you ran after the Reaper that changed your point of view of him.
Rejected or not, you wouldn’t care. You had to make it up for him for all the pain of keeping those feelings welling up inside of him. You love him. No doubt about it. This was a feeling that even Sebastian, the perfect of all men, couldn't have made you feel.
“I guess this round goes for Reapers everywhere…” Sebastian says to himself as he watches your figure vanish into the hallways.
