"What are you planning yaar?"
Saanvi gave her friend a lopsided grin.
She just unlocked her phone and casually walked towards her shocked friend. Handling her phone to her to took a seat on the comfortable couch pouring herself a drink of tea.
Mmm.. it tastes good.
She sighed contented. The only thing she needs after all the headache.
Tina quickly took a look at the wide lit screen of phone.
This was the message box and few strange words written on them.
She tried to hastily read them but failed miserably. She frowned slightly confused and took a small breath to contain her excitement. This time she tried to read it slowly, carefully one by one.
What the...
Her already dropped mouth went further inside the hole of the ground completely making her dumbfounded.
She looked at Saanvi warily then at the curse words.
She couldn't not believe that her sweet innocent friend changed just in few hours after her heartbreak from crying little damsel to wild animal.
Feeling the intense stare Saanvi looked up at Tina and said innocently.
"I didn't actually do anything. Just tried to call him once and like a good man he picked up to lecture me but I was firm on my belief.. and then..."
She stopped with dreamy shine sparkling inside her big dark eyes.
"Then..?"
Tina urged her to continue.
Saanvi quickly broke out of her thoughts and answered calmly,
"Then I called him Old fart, BC**, ma** (an Indian popular curse, please do not try to search on google 😂) and so so many other things... But sadly the call got cut when I reached the more funny one."
Tina shook her head in disbelief. Her nun friend finally learnt the real meaning of world.
It was clear from all the curse words written on her message box, this girl didn't leave him even after he cut the call and sent him colorful words in written so he won't forget. And with this two blue marks it was clear he actually read them.
She suddenly felt like laughing along with crying.
"Tina.."
Tina happily looked at her friend.
"Ya?"
"Have you seen the movie Jab we met?"
She frowned before nodding. An Indian film where the girl runs off to marry the guy she loves but was rejected. Surely that girl and friend was in same situation and even used the same method for revenge.
"Good. Now let's go. I want to forgot everything.."
In the end, Saanvi's voice trailed off sadly. So Tina didn't argue anything against her wishes and decided to follow her.
"To where?"

After two hours,
Carlos Bar
Tina patted her friend's should worriedly. She has really underestimated her friend's capability to hide her pain.
This girl acted all mighty and bold and even cursed Viraj in many colorful words but in the end she was still here drowning herself in drinks.

This crazy girl... How can a first timer handle this amount of bitter alcohol.
"Saanvi please stop now. It's already enough."
She tried to protest but felt helpless when the girl ignored her presence and took another glass of alcohol and drinking it in one go.
"If you don't stop now I'll not talk to you anymore. We are not friends from now on."
She said sternly and sighed mentally when finally she stopped and pushed the glass away from her.
"You want to leave me too.."
She rubbed her temple feeling a headache to come soon. First, she was acting like a drunkard then she went off all emotional again. She would first laugh as she drink then cry after stopping.
"Let's go back. Ok! I've work tomorrow."
She was about to got up and drag the girl with her when her phone suddenly rang.
Her heart skipped a beat. Hmm.. now he thinks he can call me? What a great timing?
It was a call from her fiance John Matthew, who was out for work and didn't give her a call for two days probably really busy.
After battling with her inner self she finally gave up and pulled her friend back on the bar stool and taking a seat herself before answering the call.
Saanvi quietly took a seat beside Tina pouting a little missing the taste of the bitterness she just tasted.
How can she really drink if Tina was about to break up with her too?
I have no one to call family.
She looked at her colored nails sadly and then reached out for the empty drink.
Suddenly she felt a shadow forming on its surface.
She quickly looked back suspiciously. And indeed it was a shadow of man in dark blue suit.
Her intoxicated mind quickly went on and she run after him without thinking.
"VIRAJ!!"
But to her fury he did not stop.
She ran faster dodging all the peoples dancing around and grabbed the arm of the man.
"You--- why are you ignoring me bastard!!"
She screamed at the back of the man and ruffled all her hairs like a wild dog not caring the chill radiating from in front of her.
Her back straighten as she felt the chill running along her spine and her fingers were grabbed swiftly which was holding his suit arm and was removed back to her side.
The man slowly turned around to face her. Saanvi blinked her eyes in confusion. The dim lights inside the bar was playing tricks on her eyes as she could not focus and see his face completely.
"Yes"
A cold bone chilling voice asked her calmly.
"You are a coward. Why didn't you come to pick me up? Huh!!"
Saanvi ignored all the cold aura engulfing her body and started complaining without stopping.
She ignored when the two tall well built mens stepped in between them in protective manner. Instead she felt annoyed stumbled to reach him.

"Please retreat Miss"
One of the big tall man indicated her to quickly take a step back.
Saanvi quickly shook her in no. She stubbornly clicked her heels above the ground like a child and tried to enter her hand inside the gap between them to grab the man by his ears.
"This is a last warning, Please retreat or.."
She ignored all the scary voice around her as her mind was now messy and she lost all her senses. When she saw this mysterious man in dark suit she just assumed him as her cheater lover Viraj who only used to wear tailored expensive business suits when he last time visited India.
"Viraj!! You pig!! Let me just get you once. Come out now. Stop hiding behind these buffaloes.."
She continued screaming not caring about she was now getting manhandled and dragged away by the tall mens.
The girl's anger rose more and more as she looked at the built mens dragging her away from her prey.
Her eyes rushed with bloodlust and she quickly bit the heavy hand with her teeths using all her might.
The bodyguard's face paled in pain but he did not dares to let her go instead his hold on her delicate arm tightened painfully.
But the girl wasn't one to wait as she quickly lifted one of her leg and bent it backwards hitting the sensitive part of his male body with the bottom of her heel. This time he quickly left her and got busy to not cry out in pain aloud.
The girl smiled happily looking at her wrong doings. She was finally free. Yay! And can finally beat that goat of Viraj Khanna.
Her face frowned when she felt herself not able to move again.
Her eyes blinked as she lazily looked at the other tall built man still holding her.
Oh! So bad. Now I need to beat this one too.
Her mind went fizzy when she noticed now there was not only two but circle of mens surrounding her from all her sides. All of them looked so scary she almost wanted to cry remembering all the bad guys from different movies.
Dammit! This guy was really shameless to use so many mens just to avoid her. But I won't leave him that easily.
She smiled bitterely and tried to muster fake courage so not to get afraid.
"Haha....."
And broke out into fit of laughter.
All the bodyguards surrounding the little woman looked at eachother confused. Has she gone crazy? There was the only thought running inside their head currently looking at the petite woman holding her stomach.
They all nodded subconsciously. She was indeed crazy to even try to block path of their dangerous boss.
After laughing for quite a long time suddenly Saanvi's mouth went dry. This was her life now. Wasn't it?
Her heart tightened with sadness. She blinked her black lashes rapidly to control tears falling from them. She was not weak to cry in front of bunch of strangers. She lifted her hand to clean the water leaking from her eyes without her permission. How can broken love feel so bad? She is really an idiot to cry even after getting drunk.
Her eyes blurred with tears as she felt her body becoming like feather. She just wanted to fly and vanish and not feel this much heartache.
She even failed to supress her emotions and become a crying mess.
As she was about to land on the floor completely losing all her strength she suddenly felt her body floating in the air.
Her legs left the ground as her eyes closed on her own seeking relaxation. She was so tired to even feel her muscles. After traveling for so long she wasn't able to rest even for a second and went mentally exhausted along with her physical body.
Saanvi sighed contented feeling the warmth radiating and filling her cold body. She snuggled a little and sniffed the unfamiliar smell. Mmm.. nice perfume. She liked it.
Her lips formed in a small smile and she lazily looked up to meet the pair of dark grey eyes staring back at her without blinking.
Her smile widened and her arms encircled lazily the warm body searching for more warmth and comfort.
"Am I dead already?"
She frowned as realisation dawned on her quickly.
"I am dead and in heaven... " Her big eyes widened in suprise and happiness filled her heart as she talked more loudly to herself.
"Oh my god...!! I am in heaven.."
Her mouth formed in a 'o' and she looked up at the beautiful man again bewildered.
"I even got a handsome devil to snuggle.. than a toad faced Viraj...haha.. but he looks so cold... Ah!!"
She suddenly went silent. Something wasn't right. Why was her body feeling so.. strange? And hot?
Her face turned blue and she frowned rubbing her nose.
Everyone surrounding her held their breaths and watched as the woman who was just now talking nonsense happily rubbing her nose crazily on their scary boss' coat.
It wasn't that long wait and her crazy acts answered almost instantly.
Saanvi felt her stomach churning and doing sumosault. And then everything became clear to her as finally all the contents in her stomach filled her mouth and spoiled the tailored expensive suit of a beautiful man standing in front of her.
Her vision got dim with darkness engulfing her whole sanity. Her body went numb not before her thin lips parted and whispered a faint 'sorry' and her eyes automatically closed completely.
She fell on the ground with an arm encircling her slim waist protectively preventing her from hitting her head.

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.

However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict.
