The soldiers sounded the alarm after a german plane flew over and blew up a base here. I was grabbing my weapons, getting ready to start. The Germans came out with tanks, gas masks, and many other deadly weapons provided by hitler. I was scared. My knees shivering, trying not to cry. As soon shots were fired, I ran away as fast as I could until I was grabbed.

"YOU GET BACK OUT THERE AND FIGHT LIKE A MAN!!!" shouted the soldier grabbing me.

I knew it was the only way to get it over with. With all of my might, I ran with my rifle and killed every German soldiers. They were starting to retreat. I threw a gernade near a tree and the explosion caused the tree to fall down and crush other German soldiers and vehicles.

"RETREAT! ALL SOLDIERS GET BACK TO BASE!!" shouted the German commander.

Soon all German troops were retreating back into the flaming woods. Without saying anything, we all gave out a victorious Hoorah. Then Stalin came and told us a chilling sentence.

"This is only the beginning men!"
