《Chasing a Spikey Relationship》Cabinets

Your POV
Damn. I'm not sure how I got into this situation, and I'm not sure how to get out. What on earth possessed me into thinking activating Chase's Commando App was a good idea?
Oh, right. That would be Adam, the reason I'm hiding in a cabinet in the kitchen, while the bionics 'take care of buisness.'
From what I can hear, it's not going too well.
Ugh.
When I started dating Chase, I never imagined that I'd be in danger.
Here I am, eating my own words, and whatever cookies I'm half sitting on. I stress eat. Don't judge.
Something slammed against my cabinet, and I sucked back as far as I could go, which was all of three inches.
"Y/n, stay hidden!" I heard Bree call.
"No duh," I muttered under my breath.
Then the cabinet door shuddered. Shoot. I cannot believe I forgot about his super senses.
"There you are sweet cheeks," he rasped, peering into the small 4x6 square.
"I have a name you know," i shot back, and then regretted.
"Sugar, I couldn't care less."
I pushed myself up off the cookies, and slid beneath his arm.
Chase could be sweet, romantic, and adorable, but Spike was the opposite. He was fiesty, passionate, and sexy as hell.
Despite everything Chase says, Spike is a part of him. A desperately hidden part, but the things he does and says as spike have underlying meaning for Chase.
Thay means that I have to love two completely different boys in order to love the same boy.
Confused yet?
"Time to swallow my pride," i muttered, and threw myself at Spike.
"You've got fire. I like fire."
At least some of the Chase that would watch OUAT with me is still in there.

"Mmhmm. There's a lot more than fire there."
I've only met Spike once before, briefly, very early on in our relationship. The dirty talk is great, the roughness with me is not.
"I can see that," he growled latching onto my neck, just above the collar of my shirt.
Crap. I had forgotten how good he actually was.
My back arched, completely against everything my brain was screaming at me.
"Mmm. You have no idea how long puny's wanted to do this," he moaned, moving his mouth to mine.
Chase was into quick pecks. Sweet at first, but six months in, I'm craving more.
That's probably why Adam convinced me Spike was a good idea.
Then, brief buzzing. Which meant Chase was coming back, and that this was going to get awkward really fast.
"Y/n? What happened? Did he hurt you?"
"I'm fine Chase. He didn't do anything."
I wrapped my leg around his waist.
"Come on Chasey. Sometimes he does us favors."
I smirked as his pupals dilated rapidly.
"Y/n, what, what are you doing?"
"Trying to make out with you."
I pulled myself off of him and sat down on the couch.
"Everytime. Everytime you think you've hurt me, even if I've said I'm fine, you take our relationship back to square one."
"I didn't know you felt this way," he stuttered, sitting down on the other end of the couch.
"See?" I motioned to him, "You're treating me like I'm breakable. Look at me."
His hazel eyes met my e/c.
"I'm fine. I'm better than fine. He didn't hurt me. You didn't hurt me."
He closed his eyes. "I'm just don't want you to get hurt."
"I know the risks of dating a bionic teen, and I've welcomed them with open arms."
I looked down.
"It almost hurts more when you won't touch me at all."
He scooted over on the couch.
"Hey," he said gently, "I care. I'll always care."
"Then prove it," I snapped, and turned away.

Waking Up
The story of Larin the Builder in the aftermath of Awakening This short story is the epilogue of Awakening, the first book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. She awakens in A'lara City a few days later and recuperates under the steadfast care of her repentant friend Jorn.As she reacclimates to her waking state, Larin struggles with her gruesome memories of the Hells and her decision to conceal them from Jorn. This story answers the question, Is Larin all right? with a resounding yes, and some storms on the horizon. It also raises the question, What happened to her down there? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Falling Down, about Larin's ordeal in the Nine Hells. Praise for Waking Up and Falling Down: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between Waking Up and Falling Down is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well.-- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★
