'Hello' I replied firmly

'Ah Spike, it was so easy to make you happy, you thought you were practically human' Angelus laughed.

Spike didn't move but I could see it in his eyes: he wanted to rip his throat out. At that moment I did too, but neither of us moved.

'Come on guys, don't be sour' Angelus pouted

'What do you want?' I asked

'I just want my old friends back'

'Shut up!' Spike snapped, I squeezed his hand.

'Oh feisty Spike, calm down' he smiled 'you're really upset about the ring aren't you?'

'How do you know about the ring?' Spike asked through grit teeth

'Ha! Who do you think was the one who gave it to you?'

'Willow was the one' I said

'Ah so gullible Buffy' he smirked. 'But what actually happened was I gave it to Willow'

'Why would Willow do that for you?' I yelled

'Because I put a spell on her duh' he laughed

'That's why she acted funny whenever we spoke about it'

'Ding ding ding, spot on'

'How did the ring work?' Spike asked

'Well you don't catch on quick do you Spike' Angelus laughed 'I put a spell on that too, well Willow helped'

'We need to go' I said pulling Spike along

'Why so soon?' He asked

'It's been long enough' Spike replied.

'Wait why are you still here?' I asked 'the whole destroy Sunnydale plan failed'

'I know' he smirked and vanished.
