The sun didn't rise. Not literally, just not in the bedroom. Back to closing all the blinds and living in darkness for the one I love. I roll over and he's still there, sprawled out, one arm hanging off the bed. I decide not to wake him and get up.

Down stairs the last page of the book is still sitting in the kitchen. I read it again and again. It still doesn't make sense. The book says the ring could never work again, yet it did. Unless someone put a spell or something on it, maybe Willow did?

I called Giles.

'Hello?' He answered

'Giles it's me' I replied

'Buffy? Gosh what are you doing up so early?' He laughed

'It's like 9am'

'No it's 7am'

'What?' I yelled 'shh, oops' I told myself 'I didn't realise'

'What's wrong?' He asked

'Maybe someone put a spell on the ring?' I offered

'Hm I have heard of spells on inanimate objects, but not many that have worked'

'What if Willow did it?' I asked

'Why would Willow do such a thing?'

'I don't know! She's been acting strange latterly remember' I told him

'I know, I know! It's possible I'm not going to lie. I got to go, I'll speak to you later okay Buffy?'

'Okay, thanks. Bye Giles'

I went to letter box to check the mail: tonnes. All bills. Something caught my eye on the porch, I went closer. Flowers? There's a note taped to the side:

'Weren't these your favourite?'

I look at the roses and freeze. Oh my gosh.

'SPIKE!' I yell running back in the house, slamming the door. 'WAKE UP! SPIKE' jumping up the stairs two at a time.

I shake him awake still yelling his name.

'What?! What!?' He panicked

'Angelus is here' I whispered

'Where?!' He jumps out of bed searching for clothes

'I don't know. In Sunnydale.'

'I know.' he mumbled

'What?' I asked

'He was the person at the door last night, I didn't want to bring it up then.'

'He left me flowers. Just like years ago when he turned evil'

'I remember that, we helped stop him together' he smirked grabbing my hands.

'Ha I remember' I laughed 'Lets go find Giles.'
